How to edit time stamp and owner if a "Case" has been re-opened in error

The available documentation does not provide step‑by‑step instructions for editing a Case's time stamp or changing the case owner after a case has been reopened in error.   

How can this be accomplished?  In Shop Floor Clockings you can correct this data for manufacturing reporting.  Is there a similar area for Cases?
