Data Migration

Hi,I have created a simple excel migration job to create customers and address information. In here, am passing the customer id to the second method as below. When i run the job, i am always getting an error :(Without the second method, if i only run the method to create customers it works fine - which means customer gets created without an issue) Is there is anything am missing here? Environment - 22R1 Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

Is there a table/query that shows the connection between the LU system control value and the data source object (to be able to tell what form/screen a custom field is coming from) 

My Migration Job based on procedure “CREATE_TABLE_FROM_FILE” is not able to load data into the IC/TEMP table from a file holding more than 1 million records. Is there a limitation in IFS Cloud to handle the number of records during Data Migration?

Hello,We are seeing very slow data migration speeds when migrating Customer Info Address records. It is taking in excess of 10 seconds per address to migrate. At first, it appeared the deduplication process was the bottleneck, however even after disabling it according to this post we are still seeing slow migration speeds.Is this a known issue? We are running Apps 10 UPD 13.Thanks

I would like to migrate the field “Tax Liability” with already existents customers. I use IFSAPP account with IFS_ALL rights (and Excel ADD In). Il create a migration Job (I tried with Two jobs migration, insert or update, or Excel Add-in and i have the same result)I start the job and load the file.But when I want to start online, an error message occurs : “Access denied! User IFSAPP is not connected to Company”However, IFSAPP as a user is connected to all sites and companies. The update is allowed in the basic data migration setup. IFSAPP is a user per all the companies.Don’t know why the access is denied...    

Hi,I’m looking into the Data Migration Manager component and am looking for a way to migrate data from an external database into IFS Cloud. I took a look at the online documentation and it mentions that in the process of defining a Migration Project, there is a section where you can connect to an environment using a Database Link, which will be created by Cloud Operations in the application.Does anybody have a guide on how exactly we would create or define this Database Link?If I wanted to connect to an external database for data migration, is using the Database Migration Manager the correct process? If so, how does this process work? If not, what is the correct process?Any insights would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I am facing a migration problem on purchase orders.I have two simple migration jobs, and they work perfectly for the header of the order and for the lines. But I have a problem, I can't find where to update the preposting. To release a purchase order I need to fill in the C code but I didn't find it in my jobs, nor did I find another job to prepost a purchase order.Is there an easy way to update this purchase order?  Thanks anyway for your attention and future responses! Kind regards, Sébastien

When the Migration job is executed, error “ORA-20110: ContractItem.CONSALESVALUEREQD: The Sales Value must have a value since Calculation Type is Sales Value and Calculation Method is Fixed.” occurs.The purpose of this migration job is to allow us to insert data from the user defined table to contract_item_tab. A similar error has been reported here.However, the procedure name used in the current example is MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA and not procedure INSERT_BY METHOD_NEW  IFS Aurena framework version: 22.1.10.20221205084017.0IFS Aurena client version: 22.1.10.20221205084017.0 Kindly assist in identifying the root cause of this error.

Is there some “manual” for what IFS can in the different modules? Some basic step-by-step guide, on a user level? I’m trying to understand what IFS can compared to what we use and where we can improve/benefit from standard functionality. We are currently running Apps9 - But will most likely upgrade to Cloud in the near future.

Hello, while creating a new migration job with custom fields, I have this error come up:ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("IFSAPP"."PART_CATALOG_CFT"."ROWKEY")I am seeing if anyone can help me troubleshoot. I cannot see any reference to “PART_CATALOG_CFT”… 

Hi IFS Community,does anyone have a solution to export csv file without line breaks?I’ve seen topics about line breaks for data import but not for data export.I guess we need to replace line breaks with IFS but I can’t do that with the procedure CREATE_OUTPUT_FILE.There is no transformation option on FILE MAPPING tab.Maybe we need to use a rule like CALLEXTPROC (Call external procedure after each row) but I didn’t found information about this.If I have a solution to replace line breaks it will be possible to replace semicolons too and build a clean csv file.Migration Job RULES tabThanks

We started to use IFS, soon we will go live. I have a question about Engineering Revision Transfer Actions.I’m uploading parts in to engineering parts with migration job. Then I use Engineering Revision Transfer Actions to created the inventory parts. Here I have some issues.I have +/- 60.000 parts but I only can transfer 60 parts at a time because otherwise the buffer is full, this means I need to run 1000 times the transfer shop, is massive workload. If I have an assembly and the assembly is transferred earlier than the under need parts, my product structure in inventory is empty (I can’t use multilevel transfer if you select multiple items)Has someone experience with mass upload from engineering parts to inventory parts

Hello, I have run into a rather interesting challenge I can’t seem to solve.I create a Migration Job for the Excel addin, its purpose is mass change shop order dates.The Source Mapping was auto generated via the default settings on the migration job.When I Open the Migration Job in Excel and use the search and try to search with a date field, the search does not convert the query into the appropriate date logic. Is this something I need to somehow program into the Source Mapping itself?Migration Job:Excel IFS Search:Checking the Advanced Tab to validate and resulting error:Manually correcting this makes it work. This however is not great for the end user as they need to know to make this change when searching for dates and becomes more difficult to use.Looking forward to some possible solutions. 

Hello all, We are in the process of designing a simple interface via file. IFS should output a status (stock per type) to a file and save it to a specified location. Now this could be done relatively easy via a migration job. Does anyone already have experience with this or such a regular export via the migration job in use? The official suggestion for the interface is via the APIs. But this seems to be quite complex. Thank you already for your feedback. 

When I delete a service quotation, IFS10 takes 10 minutes to finish the process and unfreeze the screen. After taking a look in the debug console, I see the delete and subsequent commit finish in a very short amount of time (less than 2 seconds), but IFS then runs a SELECT * on the service quotation view to repopulate the screen. This query is taking 10 minutes because there is so much data.This is 100% pointless, the screen could just show as blank or bring back a single record instead of functioning this way. I also tried changing the startup behavior of the screen to blank, but it did not prevent this issue. Has anyone found a way to stop this from happening?

Hi,Has any one used Data Migration Manager in Cloud (22R2) to copy data (basic data as well as transactional data) from PROD to lower system such as TEST or PROD?For an example, we want to copy all basic dataset up and transactional data from PROD to TEST.Documentation says this is possible but couldnt find any step by step guide.Thank you.

I have the exact same Excel Migration Job over BUS_OBJ_REPRESENTATIVE in our DEV and TEST environments and they do not perform the same.   The migration job in DEV will perform a modification as expected and return the “Updated” result.The migration job in TEST will not perform the requested update and returns a result of “Business Object Representative already exists”.   of course it exits, I want to update the “Representative Type” associated with the record.We have check all permissions and have no idea what would be causing the difference in functionality.Any help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely,Vince

Hello all, I have just started using the IFS Cloud data migration tool, I am struggling to find out to set a concatenation rule on a column in the input container.  I have tried doing as it suggests but the results are not correct.  Hoping someone can advise.

I have one company (not the source one) which does not appear in the Target companies list. How can I include all existing companies in this window?
