Buying (Procurement, Demand Planner, ASC, SRM)

Supplier can be changed for the No Part requisition line in Purchase requisition even the "Allow Changes after Authorization" check box is unchecked in Purchase Requisition Authorization Rule.I believe this is because the “Allow Changes after Authorization" is defined for Monetary values only. Should rule applicable for Non - Monetary values such as supplier details, etc.?  

HI,Can anyone elaborate on the purpose of Internal Destination?  This is the HELP info:Internal destinations are used when you receive material from your supplier and perform an internal distribution to the location where the parts are requested. We have created an ID and have added it to a Work Task.Created a Purchase Req and then a PO, and when we go to Register Arrival, we can see the Destination on the line. Is there something more to this functionality?  Are we missing a step? Thanks, Jo Kasper

We purchase a part from an OEM who always supplies 3 different physical items in a box.  When the box of 3 physical items arrives, we would like to receive 3 separate part numbers into stock, instead of receiving the “kit” part that we ordered from the OEM into stock.  If we try to purchase the 3 individual pieces from the OEM, they charge extra to break out each item into individual pieces.  We need to receive each item into stock individually because the pieces are components on different shop orders. Any Ideas?  Thanks in advance!

Hello, I need to block the purchase arrivals when Qty Arrival > Qty Order. For Purchase Orders with No-Part Order Lines.So far, I just found the Over Delivery Option in the Site or in Purchase Groups (Procurement Basic Data). However, the system only shows a warning message but allows me to receive. Is it possible to block? Thanks,Regards.

Earlier I had a question on how to receive a new lot batch with zero cost and @Lahiru Dissanayake clarified it through this post.  No problems there, his recommendation works for those parts.Now I tried to receive a set of parts with FIFO as the Inventory valuation Method and ‘Cost Per Part’ as the cost level.  I can receive them through ‘Receive Inventory Part’ in IFS and it reduces the total inventory cost as it averages it. That’s ok.  Now let’s say, I issue some of those parts. The Unit Cost and the total inventory value becomes zero.  

Hello Community, I am currently using sandbox and still trying to understand how IPR process works in Aurena App 10. My questions is if I have interchangeable part (for example, Part A is interchangeable to Part B) how does Planning Method A & B will capture the order history, SSL, or Lot size?  Thank you in advance for helping.

We have to have separate responsiblities in supplier data between Purchasing dep (supplier data) and finance dep. (invoicing data) to make sure that no one can create a supplier without anyone else seeing it. Today we have a separate workflow in sharepoint so that Purchasing have to approve the changes and details finance enters.Is there any way to create a workflow for the entering of financial data on supplier so that purchasing dep. can approve the changes/data within IFS?What is that functionality called? Workflow? Thanks

Hi, Out of the blue I started receiving the error message “The forecast date cannot be less than demand time fence.” when trying to Run MS - One Part.  My example, the Demand time Fence is 10 days, so the Demand Time Fence date is 7/16/2021.  I’ve re-reviewed many times with other eyeballs on it as well and I have no forecast dates that are inside of 7/16/2021.  Any thoughts? 

Our suppliers (or some of them) needs to have a forecast monthly. Right now we have a quick report with all purchase requisitions as the forecast, which we manually send to them. We wanted to use the supplier portal, but the cost is ridiculus for the licenses. So we cannot use that right now. How do you send forcasts automatically in IFS? Is there any built in function?  

Does anyone know what “the role” is called so I can ask our IT department to add this to my user so I can do changes in Purchase Parts?  I can do changes in Purchase Part but not Purchase PartS.

When we are creating a customer order through a sales quotation, created document text(RMB Option) will be reflected in the Customer order. But when we enter a document text to a customer order where the supply code is “Purchase order Dir”, those entered document text will not reflect in the Purchase requisition or the purchase order. Is there any way to transfer document text from one window to another window when those windows have an interconnection such as “Purch order Dir”, “Purch order Trans”?

One of the customers have an RMA with 100 different lines. They are not connected to a CO, but they want to return all of these lines to one inventory location under one Lot/Batch. When we select multiple RMA lines from RM lines tab and RMB > Receive Parts… we get the lines like below, So, users need to select the RMA line by the drop down for 100 times and need to enter the Qty to Return. This is taking a lot of time and inconvenient. Is there any easier way which they can return these 100 different RMA lines?Thank you :)

We have been using IFS Apps 8.0 version there have been no instance where the system will show the pop-up message that Manufacturer ID is mandatory though it is not a mandatory filed in IFS.Error message - Manufacturer doesn’t exist for so and so part for this supplier.The above error message comes while processing a PO from PR either directly or through RFQ (Order quotation) process.Manufacturer ID is associated for any Purchase part in Supplier for Purchase part screen and its not a mandatory field.Need more insights on this if there’s any internal setting at the Supplier/Site/Company/Purchase Part Basic data which is causing this issue.

Is there a way to create an RMA at the same time of the order confirmation for I can print the RMA and attached together.  I want to do that because I want to track my racks that I am giving to the customer just to transport the product and I want that those rack return but I want that they know that I am giving to them certain amount of rack and those have to return and don’t leave it there.  I create an RMA but always appear that it just could be create with a order delivered but I want to attached together in order confirmation or in the invoice.

Hello, I have setup a Payment method for a Supplier. According to the IFS Help, I can perform a RMB on the method and select Electronic Payment Addresses to enter the information in. However, when I attempt to do this, that option is greyed out. I have checked Permissions and I have full access to the screen. In the help, I do not see any additional prerequisites to add this information. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I hope someone can help me with the below expectation.Basic DataUser 1 has Max Authorization Limit for PR of £5000 PR Rule is set up for a Cost Code 1234 PR Rule has the Authorization Routing Option set to “Include Steps Based on Limits” Authorization Template has 3 steps: Step 1 - Group (all users have limit up to £5000; User 1 is part of this group too) Step 2 - 10’000 Step 3 - 999999 Transaction: the User 1 creates a Purchase Requisition with Pre Posting cost Code 1234 that’s less than £5000. Once released system currently pulls through the 1st step of the Authorization Rule.Expectation: There is no PR rule pulled through because the User 1 has enough Authorization Limit. Can anyone tell if the expectation should be different based on the set up and if so how to set up the data so that the User with Lim

We receive PO lines with serials in our daily business. Those PO lines have charges distributed by amount. But let’s say, we receive only 200 out of the 500 PO line quantity, the total charges get allocated to that lot of 200 only. The next lot of 300 has zero charges allocated. Hence the Unit value of the inventory is significantly less compared to the first receipt. Is there a way to overcome this in IFS?
