Hi

We’re running Apps 8 and have had an error message that we’ve never seen before:

‘A Supplier may not be specified as Owner when Purchasing is not installed’

Can anyone advise what this might be?

@Dan  Do you have the Purchase module installed in your solution?

@Dan Could you please advise how did you receive this error message? Upon performing which action in the application?

Thanks!

Hi Dan,

refreshing the dictionary cache will solve the issue. (Please keep in mind: R&D recommends rebuilding of dictionary cache only during proper maintenance windows where all transactions on the system are stopped.)

@Dan Also you can try logging in using a different user to check whether it is a permission issue.

Hi @Dan ,

You can also try manual DB re-start to address the issue of missing/in-initialized components in addition to refreshing the dictionary cache.

Thanks,

Anushi

@Sangeetha Jayamaha We’ve tried logging in as different users and are getting the same error. We are also getting error messages saying the Customer order module is not installed.

@Anushi Seneviratne We tried re-starting the services on the middle ware but that did not resolve it.

@Dan did you try refreshing/rebuilding the dictionary cache? What is the exact error message you receive saying the Customer order module is not installed? By performing which action do you receive the customer order moduleerror message?

Anushi
