Buying (Procurement, Demand Planner, ASC, SRM)

Hello Community, Its my first time using the FND_Stream_API and I want to set up an event action that sends a stream message to the creator(a specific user) of Shop Order, everytime someone changes a particular date variable. All I know is that FND Stream API is the way to do it, but can someone please educate me the syntactical stuff so that I can build the script.

Hello - We are on apps 10. We are considering using customer orders for entering forecast parts sales to create demand for purchasing.  The situation is that we will win a bid so we know we will be selling a certain part but we don’t know the customer or the timing yet.  Purchasing needs to start their process on long lead items so they want demand in the system.  Does anyone use a forecast customer order?  How do you identify that it is a forecast because we would not want the order to ever be picked or invoiced?  Once we have a PO, we would enter a new customer order or possibly convert the forecast customer order to a “real” customer order.  Any ideas would be welcome.  Thanks

I’m hoping there’s an expert who can assist on the workflow of PO Change orders when applied on inter-site POs.  We are on Apps9 and have PO Change Order enforced on sites within company A.  We have a PO on site B where the supplier is site C.  I think the workflow is as follows:Create PO Change Order for PO on site B Make necessary PO changes in POCO eg qty change to 3 from 2.  Save.   RMB in PO Header, select Send Change Request RMB on PO line, select Supply Chain Orders Analysis Select CO.  RMB to Incoming Change Request Manually update Incoming Change Request for Customer Order eg qty change to 3 from 2 RMB in Incoming Change Request for Customer Order Header.  Select Approve Status on Incoming Change Request for CO changes to Processed and the connected CO and SO are updated RMB in POCO Header and select Release

Hello,has anyone had experience with the OCI (=Open Catalog Interface) in the past? (preferably in Apps10)  Is there even a standardized solution here, if applicable? In the past it was BMEcat, but lots of suppliers are changing the format from BMEcat to OCI. Thanks in advance for any tip or hint. Best Regards,Lorenz

Community, would like to hear from you, your experience in dealing with received partsmove into stock inspection at arrival move to QA, inspect at QA  other exceptions - to arrival only, and need to move to quarantineare you using different color label to have visual direction? for example,  move into stock - normal white label. inspection at arrival - green label, if passed, QC to print normal white label. move to QA, inspect at QA -  yellow label, once passed inspection, QC to print normal white label, but if failed, red label.  other exceptions - to arrival, and need to move to Quarantine - red label.Are you using the above methodology to drive the material flow? if not, what else you used to perform the same?Thank you.

We have discovered a problem when updating Purchase Price on a Purchase Part. When we are matching the supplier invoice to a purchase order and want to update the Purchase Price, vendor part no and description clears on the purchase part. In the API-method “Purchase_Part_Supplier_API.Modify_Supplier_Part_Info” we can see that these columns are present but it seems to replace with an empty value.since it seems to get NULL value from procedure “Purchase_Order_API.Modify_Part_Price” that´s calling this method:       Purchase_Part_Supplier_API.Modify_Supplier_Part_Info(contract_,                                                           part_no_,                                                           vendor_no_,                                                           new_price_,                                                           NULL,                                                           discount_,

Dear community,  I wondered if anyone had any experience with External Service Orders, (Type 6) and RFQ. We have the scenario whereby we need to send the part to the supply from inventory for inspection/assessment then they provide a quote. However I dont know how we can ship via the customer order from a Purchase Req or Request for Quote? Any ideas?

Hello, IFS Community.What solutions are you using to handle Commercial invoices when you are exporting goods?  My company does a lot of Exporting to countries such as Brazil, India, China, UK, Australia and Columbia .  What solutions have you used to produce Commercial Invoices?  I know we have the Proforma Option in the Shipment, however we are looking for a solution that meets the requirements to import good for sale in these countries? 

We recently upgraded from IFS8 to IFS10 and have a report that the Receipt History tab of the Receipt screen did not capture a location change, previously logged as a ‘Moved [qty] [uom] from location [old location] to [new location]’.Can I configure IFS10 to capture Moves?UPDATE: Never mind. I’m finding it does log it and now trying to understand why it didn’t log it in this case.

Hi All,We’re using IFS Apps 8 and want to change the ownership to ‘Company Owned’ from ‘Customer Owned’ for the Inventory Part: G-004614.As per our investigation, one can change/changes the ownership only if On hand qty is not equal to zero and if the Purchase was made incorrectly at the PO line or while issuing the parts in WO or Internal Demand orders viz. Material Requisition, MMR.This is a Serial Tracked Part and we’ve tried to change the Ownership at Part serial record screen.Attaching the reference document, any suggestions on the above step or approach will be much needful. Regards,Venkatesh Iyer 

Hello IFS community, does anyone know if in IFS 9 it is possible to obtain a report of past backorders per inventory part per site per period? This would be to track how well or poorly our inventory planning has been going and calculate our service level to customers from stock items. Thank you!

“Note Text” field update and save causes query changes on screen view. This results in having to run the query after each save when making ‘Note Text’ updates to orders.We are currently running in Apps10.Are any other users experiencing this same difficulty, or is there a way to control the data that is being pulled after selecting save?Below are the usual steps taken.Search criteria is entered to filter down to Order, Release and Sequence No. from Shop Orders Material Planning screen (this typically includes a series of orders) ‘Note Text’ column is updated on the data lines Once saved, the data refreshes to only show the last Order number that was entered in the original queryBe advised that this is happening when one or more release or sequence exists for the same order number.Thanks in advance!

All my inventory transaction posting could no be transferred to the hold table. They are all on completed status but could’nt be transferred. What may be the reason? The purchase transaction transfer is working finePlease advise.

Hi,Is there a way for a demand plan for a component item to be generated from MRP, so that I can calculate that items safety stock using IPR?The example I have is that I have a demand plan forecast for a finished product, that has then been imported into MS, with component MRP run, giving me purchase requisitions or shop order requisitions to supply against that demand.For the purchased components in the structure of that finished product (that are MRP controlled) I want to run IPR to give me safety stocks based on days coverage: This will then give me time phased safety stocks However, as I have a demand model of forecast for the components this only seems to work if I manually

Hello,I am using IFS10 - IEE . I am running into an error I’ve not yet encountered when using the IFS Excel Migration Tool. I am attempting a data update to the Supplier record. More specifically attempting to update a custom field named ‘Form Type” to assign 1099 related tax form information to given suppliers. When I execute the job I receive the error/response of “The Identity Invoice Info already exists.”. Which is true, as we have some of the basic tax information set up for the suppliers already, but there is no detail yet filled in on the new custom field. Any ideas on what to check would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,-Evan

Hi,Kindly we need to put for some customers different tax code than the tax code which they are connected with sales parts. when i add tax code to customer address , tax value in customer order was added and bcomes 2 lines one from sales part and another line from customer tax code. how we can exclude sales part tax code for some customers. Best Regards,Bilal Drayi

HiI’m trying to add a delivery overhead for a specific supplier for purchase part.I am able to add the cost element etc on the “Delivery overhead” tab on supplier for purchase part.But after placing a purchase order and receiving it i still don’t get the added overhead.The part is weighted average and there is another delivery overhead on the “default cost bucket” that i do get.So my question is how do i activate so that i get the additional delivery overhead for this specific supplier for purchase part. Running app10 upd11 Thank youBR Andreas

Hi Team,We’re using IFS9 and there is some issue while cancelling PO receipt.On Hand Qty for the Part: B25DAP AGRO is zero and there are currently No Open Demands only one PO which is in ‘Received’ state.The Customer Order for this Part is in ‘Invocied/Closed’ state, tried to ‘Count out the Part’ considering Counting Out an Inventory Part is same as Un-receiving any Inv part.We have tried re-opening the Purchase Order and then changing the Ownership at Supplier for Purchase Part screen from ‘Company Owned’ to ‘Customer Owned’ still no effect. Is there any other option to reverse the PO arrival ‘Transact’on ID’

Starting a standalone topic in hopes of an answer -We need to clear our Received - Not Yet Invoiced report and get it in sync with the GL.  I created an External File load to populate the Closed Date on receipts in our test environment and successfully populated the field and it cleared the RNI report.  However, just because I can do this doesn’t necessarily mean that I should.Can anyone address whether populating this field with an external file is acceptable, or are there system effects that make this not a good idea?Thanks!This is the field in question.  It can be populated by the system in certain instances, or it can be manually typed in:
