I am currently involved in a new IFS Cloud implementation project, and during integration testing we expect to apply fixes to our Use Place environment using Online Delivery.
We are considering Online Delivery because we would like to minimize the amount of time that testing needs to be interrupted during delivery installation.
Based on the technical documentation, my understanding is that the environment remains available for most of the installation window and becomes unavailable only during the actual cutover period.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience using Online Delivery.
Questions:
1. How can we determine the exact cutover timing?
- Is the cutover timing visible in Environment Studio, Scheduled Activities, CS Ticket, or another tool?
- Can administrators know in advance when the temporary downtime will occur?
2. Can users of the target environment recognize or be notified when the cutover starts?
- Is there any automatic notification from IFS?
- Or does the environment simply become unavailable without prior notification to users?
