Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

Hi CommunityWe have this situation: From MWO app/ Work Details page, we trigger the creation of a pdf document, which is the service report. (an action called “Create Service Report” setup on the page does that). This create the report and attach it to the task.The reference to the report gets transferred to the MWO app also.However, in the Work Details page, in the attachments link, we don’t see there is an attachment. This appears if we go to another page and come back to this page.We can see the attachment if we click on that attachment icon as well even when it does not show the count 1.So the issue is, the MWO client page does not get refreshed when we get new data from the database.Does anyone know if there is a way to get this auto refreshed?We are running Application service update: 24.1.7Thank you.  

If the service technician forgets to share the service report with the customer or forgets to save it, there is no way to generate the service report again, if the assignment is no longer in mWO.There should be a way of creating a service report in the Cloud without developing a report. This could possibly be solved by another wish, i.e by auto-attaching a service report to the assignment, which will be synchronized to IFS Cloud.

Hi all, We upgraded touch apps server from 10.10.301  to 10.20.497 . after upgrade i could access admin portal of touch apps(with new upgraded version). but unable to login IFS AURENA scanit 10 client device ,it showed below error every time when we tried to loginw3wp.exe Error: 0 : ERROR_PROGATED_SYSTEM_EXCEPTION:Stream was not readable.what can be the reason? Hi Expertise, I'm currently experiencing an issue with one of our internal environments where the MWO app is displaying an error message upon access.So far, I have:Reinstalled the Touch App service. Checked for any disk utilization issues on the hosted servers. Restarted the servers. Following error message I can see in the logs, w3wp.exe Error: 0 : Unexpected error while calling server method ManageDeviceApp/ActivateDeviceApplication    DateTime=2025-02-05T04:01:34.5171670Zw3wp.exe Error: 0 : Stream was not readable.    DateTime=2025-02-05T04:01:34.5210683Zw3wp.exe Error: 0 : Execution aborted.    DateTime=2025-02-05T04:01:34.5220391Zw3wp.exe Error: 0 : ERROR_PROGATED_SYSTEM_EXCEPTION:Stream was not readable.    DateTime=2025-02-05T04:01:34.5308690ZHowever, the issue persists. Has anyone encountered a similar problem and found an alternative solution? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hello All, We are currently using IFS MWO Service 10 (UPD9) and we are experiencing increased Initialization time and slowness in MWO App. When we referred to the Lobby Page for Mobile App Status we noticed ‘Queued Out Messages’ has reached almost 700,000 and would you kindly share your thoughts and advice if there is any connection related to the above Message Queue and any recommendation on reducing the increased initialization time? Hi Experts,In 24.2.0, I get notifications(toast) upon sending a new request task to the mobile (Test both Windows and android versions), but with same settings and devices in 24.2.1 the notifications not received. I sent a test notification and the logs don’t give any errors either.Would their be any known framework bugs ? or have I missed anything ? (application parameters relate to this notification hub and url also identical in these two env. In installed app details Push is also enabled. The environments are ifs demo environments. Note that push sync working ok)Can someone clarify please?Thank you,Roshan

Hello Experts,While creating a new work through MWO app, there is no records are available in Service contract lines. Can anyone guide me on how to sync records from the back office to MWO app? I appreciate any insights you can provide. 

Hi Experts,I get above error when I try to open a survey (either on a state change such as start or even connect the survey to resource) from a request task. I narrow down to a very simple survey with a single question and a configuration of type person resource.Could this be a bug ? or is there any setting restricting the survey sync to the device?Thank you,Roshan 

Hi All, When I’m trying to report a work that I have done via New Work in MWO, a work order is created in the back office (web client) in Fault Report status. Also, no work task is created. Nothing can be seen in the Completed work in MWO home page. Ideally, a work order and a work task should be created with Status=WorkDone, and anassignment for the MWO user with Status=Completed.   All other three options are working as expected. What can be the reasons? TIA.

Hi All, Is there a way to add a location to work (New Work) in MWO.I need to create a work but the location is different to my current location. If we try with Create Map Position or Update Map Position, the current location of the mobile is retrieved. Is there any way to give a different location (coordinates or address) to a work? TIA.

Hi All,Is it possible to modify/customize the notification card of Notify Me?Thank you in advanced.  

One user is getting this error when navigating from Lobby element to Return Material Authorization Lines view. Other users with similar permissions will not get error. He can anyway then search on that view without getting any more errors. Error disappear if personal profile is disabled. If personal profile is enabled but emptied error comes back. So deleting personal profile did not help, only disabling it. Any ideas what else could be done to get rid of this error? 

Hello everybody! The customer requests that the marked field in the attached screenshot should have another background color, as the field is Mandatory (we’ve already set the field as Mandatory, but a visual impact would be nice to have). Has anybody done this? Hi Experts,If I setup a bucket resource, I am not getting ‘Company Settings’ tab in the resource. Hence, I am not able to make a bucket resource a MWO user. Is this the design thinking behind bucket resources when it comes to MWO ?. Or is there any other way to make a bucket resource using MWO ? IFS Cloud “Service Contract” page has a command button called “Refresh Lobby Data”. What is the intent of this button? When users create Customer Invoices connected to service contracts (either via Service Contract Invoice plan or Work Order specific sales invoices), how is this revenue updated to the system (Analysis for Servce Contract page) so that one can see it from the page charts? I’ve generated customer invoices but the Service Contract analysis “revenue” graphs will not react to this in any way. It seems that the analysis page uses a IFS Lobby element called REVENUE TYPE ANALYSIS, which is a standard lobby element managed by IFS RnD

Hi,I’m getting the below error when downloading objects to mobile device on mWO (Service Engineer). What permissions should I grant to the users to get pass this? They already can see objects that were on the tasks sent to them.  

Hi, We use mWO (service engineer) quite extensively and have had lots of issues recently with our techs’ app crashing often (with the latest update), not syncing, having to re-login often, random errors as well. If the app is not reset after an app update, it was behaving erratically too. I’m just considering using Tech Portal instead of mWO app? Has anyone else swiched from mWO to Tech Portals? Would love some feedback. Or anyone who has been using the Tech Portals for a while. I believe the biggest difference will be losing the offline capability with mWO. TIA

We faced problem with long synchronization time. I switched on mobile cleanup processes but I see that some apps/devices are not removed. I have many entries like this:  Is it a normal behavior? I do not think so. Entry is Active and Last Access over year ago.

Hi, I’m currently pursuing MWO training. I have completed 3days trainings till now. I followed the entire training and practiced simultaneously I created 2 apps Phonebook and WorkOrder App I’m able see the page in cloud and there are no errors as well but I’m getting Sync Error/initialization error  in the Application. You might say there might be some coding errors for the phonebook app Iwhich i did from scratch but for the WorkOrder app I just deployed the shared resources from the academy and followed all steps and as per the training I should be able to see it in the Mobile dev Application but initialization is failing Also, the workspace is in version 23R1, but I could not find 23R1 Mobile Application there is only 24R2 so I’m using that could this be a reason. I am trying to finish a work order but not possible due to the error”Work Order has an active Requisition . Remove requisition to continue”. Upon checking the requisition it seems the requisition is deleted and not available. Is there a work around in closing this work order?
