Hi, I have created a custom menu to be used on the document approval steps, both in Document Revision window and Approvals window. The customer only wants this menu option to be displayed when certain document classes is used. I see there is a field for “Object Key” in the Custom Menu Condition Manager (see picture). Can I use this to set a condition for document class(es)? If so, can anyone explain me how to? :) BR, Susanne

In the LU: EDM Basic - Repositories we are not able to change the values in the Path field. We wish to change where we store the documents in our PROD database. But when we copy PROD to TEST, we want to be able to change them in TEST so that our TEST writes to the PROD files. Also trying to do this calling the EDM_LOCATION_API.Modify() does not work. It says that the field can not be modified.Is there any possible way to achieve this and if so, what kind of impact if would have on uploaded files?I hope somebody can give us a word of advise on this matter.Your help is much appreciated.

Hello,I’ve edited the Service Contract client report and added a Version parameter because when we use the Print button in the Smart Client it will include all versions of the contract and not just the one we’re looking at.If I run the report from the Reports screen everything comes out as expected.  If a Version was specified it only shows the one version in the report, otherwise it will include all versions.Now I’m just trying to figure out how to configure the print button in the UI Designer to pass contract.contract_version as a parameter along with contract.contract_id to generate the report.Any suggestions?Thanks!

Hello all, I’m attempting to setup a scheduled task to generate calendar based PMs and I’m having an issue setting up a date range. I would like the task to generate PMs for the upcoming week, so as not to create numerous unnecessary Work Orders. When I tried to specify  a variable as I would in other fields, I received an error that I could not use that expression. My question is how to specify a rolling time period for generation? If you did not do this, would it not create numerous Work Orders, essentially for the entire Maintenance Plan?Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

We have run into a security issue when testing barcode scanning with our Zebra MC93 Android-based Scan Guns.  These need to use the Scan It mobile app for Apps10.  Wondering if anyone else has seen or resolved the same issue? We have configured the touch apps server to use AD Authentication as required for using the Android apps. The issue we have is multiple users use the scanner devices in the warehouses. This creates several problems:Each user when using one of the scanners for the first time needs to create an account in the Account Manager app. This requires the System ID and the full path to the touch apps server to be entered. Once these profiles are setup (after being directed to our One Login page and entering their AD account and password) the username and password seem to be stored in perpetuity – there is no option on the handheld ScanIt app for users to logout, and no requirement to ever login again.  This means anyone can transact under any profile that has been saved on

Hi folks,I need to grant access to several documents(>1500), is there an efficient way of emulating what can  done on a per document basis in Document Revision>Access tab. I already tried to add the users in a Person Group and then add the Group in the Access Template for all document types, but seems like it only works for new document, not existing ones. Thanks in advance !

Hello, I have been configuring work guidelines with the Subtask functions and I am looking to add some automation if possible. Essentially my goal is to attach a media image of a part to a routing work guideline and create a Subtask Sign Off requirement that the attached media be viewed. I am curious if it is possible to automatically launch an attached media image, or to enforce that a user view the image? I was not able find anything in the IFS help or on the community regarding this capability. Below is an example of the attached media image on Shop Floor Workbench I am hoping to have opened automatically. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 

I’m trying to setup e-mail notifications in Document Distribution.But once document distribution is executed, nothing happens, there is not even a record under “Application Messages”.I’m I missing something? Please help. According to help documents following setup is complete.The user ID you logged with must be connected to a person in Persons window. The persons who are inserted into the document distribution list must be registered in the Persons window.  You must have selected one or more documents before using the menu option for document distribution. If you are using e-mail notification as the distribution method, the appropriate e-mail address(es) must be registered in the Person /Comm.Method tab.Also IFS _CONNECT is properly configured and works fine sending emails with other event actions.

Hi All,I need some assistance from the wider audience, to figure out a way in Aurena to connect documents to line level items.Background - Apps 10 upd 9 (going on to 11 pretty soon), 100% Aurena usage intended , as still in implementation stage some tasks are done in IFS EE.What configurations are required to enable line level document attachments in Aurena? (ex: Purchase Requisition Line)Currently the settings are as follows;How do we attach a document on line level in Aurena ?( ex.Purchase Requisition Lines). When a document is attached while the PR line is select, the document still gets attached to the Purchase Requisition Header section. In IFS EE, we select the PR line that we need the document attached and a drag and drop to the document pane does the job. I can’t find a way to do this in Aurena. Object Transformation doesn’t show up on line level. How can this be enabled. Ex: Purchase Part has a document attached. Object Connection Transformation is enabled to show Purchase Par

When changing an equipment object to Out of Operation, is there any way to automate obsoleting the PM’s actions associated with the object?  Or to at least be warned that PM Actions are still active?

We have 360 scheduling Jobs (Create and Change) which are executing in 8 to 15 min interval to plan the work order scheduling. Usually, these Jobs takes 20-30 sec of time to execute but sometimes, these are taking 1-2 min of time.What could be the cause of this performance issue?

Hello I have a client script utilizing setControlEnabled. The script turn fields on the Mobile device into ReadOnly or ReadWrite, based on certain paramenters (task.task_type). The script works perfectrly on Android, but does not work on iOS.Is there a workaround for this issue? Is this a system bug?regardsBertel

Hi,A company has a site (101) located in Sweden and the application server timezone is also in Sweden. Now if a technician from that site 101 needs to travel to another country to work on a work task (like Sri Lanka), when they report an expense and use the current mobile time in Sri Lanka which is 4 and half hours ahead, you will get a failed transaction that the transaction time cannot be a future date.We cannot set the time offset for that site as there are employees working in that site. One solution is to not change the timezone of your mobile device, however are there other solutions functionally that someone can take to avoid this problem? Or is keeping the timezone on your mobile device the same as Sweden’s timezone the only option here?Another example would be if there is a site located in the U.S and they travel to other states for their work tasks which have different timezones. They will face this issue as well. Appreciate any help I can get.

Once selecting a GIS object and trying to connect it to an IFS object, the hereunder message fires. Seems my proxy definition is wrong, but I’m a bit lost amongst the different possibilities offered by documentation and what the integration tries to do in such a case as no IFS object is selected at that moment. Hi, We have often background jobs failing due to locking.There are a lot of “Please try again later” messages.“The update could not be performed since the Document Revision record is currently locked. Please retry the operation.                    ORA-20113: DocIssue.FND_LOCKED”. How can we find more about this? We could click on “Show Details”, which lets us know which document was involved. Would like to know why it was locked. Was it simply because someone was looking on that document?  Thanks in advance! Regards,KW

Steps to reproduce:I am creating a new document using "Create Document Assistant".I provide details and attach a local file on “Document Information” screen then I clicked on Next.I kept “Correspondence Info” blank and clicked on NextI kept “Select Document Folder” blank and clicked on NextNow, on  “Other Connection” window, by mistake I entered incorrect Project number and clicked on Finish.When I check under document list two documents get created.Investigation done so far:On further investgation using debug tool found that issue is with screen “Other Connection” when you click on “Finish”, application first creates document and then tries to validate connection object. If connection object is not valid, it presents error but does not remove document entry. Now, if user decides to fix the project number correctly after error and clicks on Finish, system creates another entry of document.Issue is only where there is an issue with “Other Connections”.  Is there a way to exclude “other

Hi, Have found an issue where the object key is different if we do the connection from the “object” page or from the Document Revision page. ExampleGo to page Part Revision and attach a document. Go to the Docuement Revision page and look at the Object Key for your newly created document. object key   (CONTRACT=WL^ENG_CHG_LEVEL=1^PART_NO=ABC^) Delete the connection and instead add it manually from Document Revision Page. Select Object LU PartRevision Find your part using FIND in Object Key and save Object Key: (CONTRACT=WL^PART_NO=ABC^ENG_CHG_LEVEL=1^)You see that PART_NO and ENG_CHG_LEVEL have switched place?Causing some issues in report development. @Mathias Dahl do you know the reason for this? 

Hi,I’ve just followed up an old guideline to implement our ArcGis integration available on our Race databases. In the layer customer that has one IFSID 99, I have an error when selecting the GIS object on the map. “Mandatory field “IFSID” is missing in layer “Customer”. You cannot connect objects in this layer”. Any idea what it means ?

I am trying to connect to mWO Service 10 SQLLite database.  Does anyone know the path to the db on the windows device or how I can browse and export data from that database?

Quick customer question… is there any way we can make the path to a folder dynamic in IFS? Ultimately we want to use an user’s folder instead of C:\temp for the below as this is a security concern. (I.e. C:\Users\$USERNAME$\AppData\IFS\Temp)
