Hi Community, We are trying to setup a logic to filter out the slots on appointment booking via API.We used the calendar, however this is not filtering the slots returned by the API. Do you know if there is a case/solution for this issue? Hi, Do we have a document that could give the link between the standard mobile screens and the sync rule(s) related ?For example : if I display the “Overview” of a task : what is or what are the sync rule(s) linked to the data displayed of the screen. It would be very helpful (and saving time in implementation) to have a file that describes the standard. Hi all! Does someone know a way to set up repeating surveys that have control over the answers a user provides? Our client needs to introduce the security surveys (security questions prior to starting to work). These surveys must come out every time a maintenance engineer begins to work on an Work Task and must take into account the responses (that is, if for any response it is not possible to start working safely, do not start the operation, or change status, and automatic time report). So far we have solved the issue of taking into account the answers using Action Flows in Workflows. Hello Community!IFS 10 - UPD8  --  Is there a way, without taking the presentation object, to limit new Work Tasks to:Prepare Work Order / Work Tasks Tab Report In Work Order / Work Tasks TabWhile NOT Work Task(s).  Why?  We have some unique Work Task guard-rails…..I’ve tried various combinations of Read Only, Mandatory, and Conditional Fields on the Work Tasks screen but those “rules” flow through to “W.O.” screens.

Good Morning all - I have a Custom Object list of Sub Contractors which we use within the Work Order to highlight various Sub Contractors attending against the chosen Work Order. Can anyone advise how i can arrange these contractors to appear in the drop down menu alphabetically? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you    

The problem sent by customer: “ When I open an image from IFS in Windows photo viewer and want to save it as a PDF but with that you can only see the edges of each page in the file (middle does not show).We have a colleague who uses Microsoft document image viewer (2010) where everything opens as normal, however, this is an outdated program and is no longer available for download.Changing the default .Tif viewer to Windows 10 “Photos” app also does not work as only the first page in the .Tif files is shown, even though the file contains several pages. Which program is recommended for use in opening .Tif files in IFS? “

I have a question related to probably difficult problem. Since the beginning of 2021 for all the work task transaction we’ve been using posting rules based on re-posting functionality (final reposting have place when the specific event on work task is met).This solution is not good because the dates of the reposted vouchers are the same as sourced ones.Now we need to change the postings using work task cost code, which guarantee that the dates willcorrespond with work task finish (I set up such cost code rule together with WIP code).As we have now  hundreds of tasks (we can not close them now), then:I transfer all the transactions (finished, not transferred yet) using “old” posting rules. This will generate e.g. T1 with WIP accounts (not with WIP cost code) I’ll change the posting rules for the new once (based on the work task cost code with WIP) I need to change the characteristics of the transaction  in unfi

Some of our users get this problem (not always) where attachments in the CO or PO are not shown.  Circled in blue below.  I tried things such as clearing the 2.0 folder, etc. But this user gets the issue time to time.  Do you know why?

It looks like the Time Tracker 2.1 app has 24 entities. And when the sync job Mobile_Sync_Sys.Send_Batch_Data__ gets executed every 15 minutes, it syncs all entities for all the users.We do not use entities such as Work Order and Projects Time reporting. Is there a way to exclude certain entities from the batch sync job? We are under the impression that excluding the entities that we are not using can speed up the sync job for users.  

Hi, We have used Fault Reports for about a year now without any special issues. But now I have got the same error message on a couple of WorkOrders when I try to change Work Order Status to Finished. The error message read://Please confirm the operability of the equipment before finishing the work order//I have checked the status of the object and it seem to be the same (operational) as for the work orders I can finish.Any suggestion what I should look for to get rid of the error message? Thanks in advance! / Anders

We are running Apps10 UPD6.  I’m looking for information that details the differences between Serial Objects and Functional Objects.  There were several changes between 8 and 10, and we need to understand the benefits that serial objects bring over functional (what can you do with serial objects that you cannot with functional).  Is anyone aware of any documentation that specifically compares the two?  We are using objects to track, manage, and provide services on customer owned assets.

We have a generic Person ID that is used at our company, which when used signifies that everyone at the company has access to viewing the document. This generic Person ID is an asterisk (*). When this is listed in the Person ID, there is no security to prevent anyone from viewing the document.I have three questions:1- Is there a way to deny viewing access to a user even when the asterisk is used in the Person ID field?  2- How can I control who belongs to this group signified by the asterisk?3- If the two questions above are impossible, would it be possible to create a warning pop up window event that will prevent specific users from accessing certain classes of documents, and in the moment when the user clicks to view an event it will reject the access? I know how to create pop up warning windows but in using an event, but in this case nothing could fire the event. Any idea or example? Screenshots would be helpful or a tutorial document.

I am currently working on starting to build utilization of the jobs and operations of separate standard jobs for the installation side of our company. I am finding that the Jobs/Operations are a bit clunky to work with first off. We will be moving to IFS 10 shortly and I am wondering what is the difference between the operations vs Work Tasks. Will what I create move into there easily, do they function similar? Or am I best off to wait until we move into 10 to turn on this utilization? And if it helps to know we will not be moving into Aurena with this upgrade yet.

Is there any possibility in App10 to limit access to document folders in Document Management? For example, if a company is maintaining a document folder in IFS to keep some managerial meeting minutes and need to limit access to that folder for a limited group of people, is it possible? I am aware that we can define a document class and limit access to that class, then documents can be created in the folder using that class. In addition to that can we limit access to a specific document folder as a whole?TIA

Hi All, Can anyone assist me with below query ? 'Bad Request' Error is displayed on running the check in of a document after the initial check-in. The document view option provides Bad request error when the document is checked in but not when the doc is checked out.Faults are inconsistent as in some times when trying to check in a new doc against a revision bad request is shown but others it is not same class same format different result.File path has been checked and verified in both application and Middleware.This has been identified as only be exhibited in a Clustered Environment. Further information:Connection method (VPN / direct access etc) ?

JPEG drawings won't print without first displaying a print preview.On trying to view the jpeg you can only prints part of the outline but not drawing however, if you first view preview the document and then print the document prints without any issues. Any ideas? Thanks.

In our project we are working with mWO App Version 10.11.1342.0 (Aurena Native).I have the following questions:For synchronizing data from server to the app do we still need the following Scheduled Database Tasks (were necessary for our previous version of mWO):•    Refresh Mobile Sync Objects•    Refresh All Inventory Parts•    Refresh All Purch Parts•    Transfer Work Assignments to Mobile•    Cleanup Mobile Work OrderPlease also provide an info for what purpose these tasks are needed (customer is asking for info).Thx in advance, BRHarald

We recently did a fresh IFS6 u9 install.  When we tried bring up the IIS service page we got a "mexHttpBinding" error.To get past this we had to add a new end point to the config file as below: <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /><mexHttpsBinding>          <binding closeTimeout="00:01:00"                    name="fsm609"                    openTimeout="00:01:00"                    receiveTimeout="00:01:00"                    sendTimeout="00:01:00">          </binding>    </mexHttpsBinding> Any ideas why we had to do this? and why this was not already in the config file? (Im not an IIS guy!)
