Is it possible to do product serach, or create new product from a RMA page, and then a service request from RMA page itself?In Service Request page, this feature is already there as out of box utility. But in RMA , is it possible to capture the Product ID, if we are initiating the process from RMA page? Please advise.

transfer stock to remote warehouses for project inventory in central warehouse

In a certain situation a combination of projects with work orders will be used. Part of the solution is that there will be standard inventory replenished by standard MRP.What will happen is that all work orders will be project connected, so when demand is registered on a work order material requisition, these lines will be connected to a project activity.We will use Project MRP to automatically transfer standard inventory to project inventory, this all works fine. The issue is that the WO tasks will be assigned to workers with a default remote warehouse connected. When this is the case the automatic reservation of work order material lines will only consider inventory on the remote warehouse (as this is the default warehouse for the worker). The transferred inventory, which is available for the applicable project activity is not considered during reservation.Only solution we see is that we do a manual reservation of the line and change to the central warehouse to reserve the stock. New Case Issue - Apps 8

We use New Case Issue for recording customer faults/requests. We have 1 company providing support to its own employees and the employees of another company we also own. However, when the employees raise a case from the 2nd company (customer), it defaults in the case to the 1st company (customer). The employees raising the case are only assigned to one company so I had expected the system to know which company to enter based on the employee raising the case. This is not happening. Does anyone know if there is a way of doing this?

Settings for Scan It App to drop prefix character on label when scanning

We are testing the scanning functionality of the Scan It app and noticed that in certain screens it drops the identifying prefix character when scanning and in other screens it does not. Attached is an example, the numbers circled in RED appear with the prefix in front of the scan. The item circled in GREEN scans correctly and it gets dropped. For example, Move Inventory Part drops the “Q” prefix when scanning but the screen before that which is Part No it does not drop the “P” Is there a place in IFS where you can set what gets dropped and what doesn’t? Or do you typically set that on the scanner gun itself? We are using Honeywell CK65’s

SalesPart Mobile Entity

I have noticed that when a mobile user creates Material Demand and issues the part from MWO Service 10, when looking in IEE you see the Maintenance Material Requisition for the work task and the issued qty but MWO Service 10 is not automatically adding a Sales Part to the Requisition line. The problem this causes is that the Work Task Sales Line has to be manually updated with the Sales Part Number. If I use the same part and create the Maintenance Material Requisition from IEE, IFS automatically adds the sales part number. I did look at the SalePart Entity and in the where clause it is only grabbing sales parts where CATALOG_TYPE_DB = ‘NON’ I am assuming this is only grabbing non-inventory sales parts. Does this mean the back office will ALWAYS have to add the sales part for mobile inventory issued?

We need to add several OEE functions to the mWO (get journal records, add new journal entry).As we understood we need to add mobile entity in the mWO code. We got an advice to use DevScaffold project for this purpose.Our question is – do we need to have WO full source code of existing entities in order to add our one or we can build our entity as a separate DLL and deploy it along with existing cloud resource dll (mWorkOrder_4_8_1_0.dll)?

Service Quotation

How do I correctly create a Service Quotation for Warranty Work? I have Customer A in IFS and I have a Service Contract For Customer A with a Free of Charge Contract Service Line. The Service Line has their equipment objects in scope and those objects have a Supplier Warranty. Since this will be Supplier Warranty WO, IFS will bill my Supplier as the customer on my WO. Should my service quotation be created to my Suppler/Customer or to my end Customer A? How do I get this logic to be represented correctly in IFS? In the Service Quotation I see a spot for Service Quotation but I am unable to enter data in that field on the Work Order Tab of the Quotation. The only way I seen how to populate this field was preparing the WO and then creating a Service Contract connected to it.

How do you cancel a Customer order generated by a Work Order in IFS 10

We used the metering invoicing functionality to generate invoices for customers. The process creates a Work Order, a Work Task and then generates a customer order which we could invoice off of. Unfortunately, I need to cancel some of the customer orders but cannot because they were generated from a work order. Does anyone know the process for cancelling out the work order?

PSO is overlapping calls

It seems PSO is scheduling 2 calls on top of one another when the duration and plan start times show that they cant be that close Here is the PSO ScreenPSO screenshotThe first task that was assigned was done so at 4:30PM On 8/6/20 to start on 8/7/20 @ 8:05AM. 120 Min duration At 5AM on 8/7/20 it assigned another call to the same user for 7:30AM. Even though duration is 123 minutes, PSO expects the user to complete the newly assigned task and drive to the next task within 30 mins? This has happened a few times to different users. Not all users are advising if this has happened. Any insight is apprecaited

Benefits of Geographical Object vs Normal Functional Object

What are the benefits of setting a functional object as a Geographical Object? Can’t I just use a functional object with a particular object level to represent a geographical area?I know Geographical Objects are used in Service Contracts but I am still unsure of their advantages and disadvantages. Adding report formatter

Does anyone have a guide or documentation on how to create a second report formatter? The documentation makes reference to being able to have multiple formatters for load balancing purposes, but I cant find anywhere on how to actually do it, I assume it involves creating another application server task, but rather than venture out on my own it would be nice if there were step by step instructions or more details about it.

Service Contract Pricing by Location

In Apps 10 I have a service contract with multiple lines and appropriate objects in scope for each line and each line is for a different work type. One of my lines is for Emergency Work which has a Invoice Type of Resources Used (T&M).I have a Customer Agreement for the Contract Customer Header that has all my pricing. i.e. Non-Inventory Sale Part No. ‘LABOR’ and $100/hr The above works fine without issue. Now here is where I am looking for suggestions. The labor price is dependent on where the work is performed. If it was in TX is could be 130/hr, and Florida could be 135/hr. How would I achieve this automatic pricing with my Service Contract and Customer Agreement based on location of equipment?

spliting recognition of revenue for services by month

In IFS applications we are looking to sell a service for 1 2 or 3 years. We can get the customer order defined and invoice, but Accounting wants to recognize the revenue by month since the services covers an extended period of time. For example selling a service that will last 12 months for 1200 dollars they want the 1200 to go into an accrual account and then each month they want 100 to come out of that accrual account and then go into the normal revenue account. They also want to do this for an expense relating to the same item. Any ideas?
