Can anyone advise what my expectations should be in Cloud with regards to clicking a field name in order to sort results? The screenshot below is in Material/Services (Project Definition).  I clicked Supply Option and it sorted by this field (confirmed by the up-pointing carat) but we were process testing in Receipts earlier today and clicking fields in the header didn’t appear to work.  My colleague and I have encountered this in other screens too.  I’m hoping it should be available view/application-wide …??   Thanks!Linda

Hi All,I’m encountering the following error when trying to log in to the customer use place environment via the Scan It app:"An error has occurred. There is no active application version for [ScanIt]."All the necessary Wadaco client settings have been correctly configured, and the required permissions are granted for my user. Additionally, I have downloaded the latest version of the IFS Scan It app from the App Store.I’d appreciate it if you could provide a resolution or guidance to resolve this issue.

Hi Team,We have below requirement:We have implemented budget control in IFS only on certain ‘controlled’ WBS (activities), there are other activities which have a budget and are not controlled or have no budget at all.As well as having this control on an individual activity level the system is also applying it at a project level, so if the spend against all activities is greater than the total budget against all activities it stops purchasing.  We do not want this.  We only want it applied at the specific activity level. There is an option for ‘Control on total budget’ but this relates to what ‘cost elements’ are included in the calculation.  We only have two cost elements (COST and REVENUE) so this doesn’t really do anything. Can we look into whether it’s possible to turn this control on the total budget off somehow? So essentially we use the below toggle to turn budget control on for projects and apply it for any activity that has an entry in the ‘Project Budget Control Rules List’What

I like feedback on the possibility of auto reservation of components based on FIFO and LIFO. Any customer scenarios and feedback.

Hello,I am looking to understand the logic of automatic reservations for customer orders. I would assume that the lines that are due the earliest would be reserved first, and that would flow until there is no more available inventory. However, that is not what I am observing.I came across the following posts on this topic:Customer Order Lines auto-reservations, what is the field used to determine what is reserved first | IFS CommunityThis mentions there is not a way to do auto-reservations by Planned Ship Date which is ultimately what I am wanting.Automatic Reservation Logic in IFS | IFS CommunityThis mentions that there are parameters that are used to determine what lines are reserved including Planned Due Date, Order Date, and Backorder Options. The author mentions that enabling the Fair Share option fixed his issue. The only thing I can find for Fair Share in the documentation is the following paragraph: When the availability is not sufficient and backorders are allowed with the opti

I’m trying to create an “Item Relation”-channel to help our engineers create relationship between existing items in the Assyst CMDB. Doing so I’ve created a web import channel that accepts CSV files, but during test runs I’m having some issues during imports when creating new item relationships. I’ve been unable to set the correct “side” of the relationship to the Main Item as attempted to specify in the “Item Relation”-datamapper.  I’m working with a single Item Relation datamapper. After selecting the main and related item using variable assyst search I’ve tried using “Relation Type”, and lookup by ID, followed by an Related Detail” selecting the wanted detailId for the main item. However doing it this way I’ve been unable to correctly select which mainDetailId is set to the “Main item” during an import. The item selected as “Main item“ in the datamapper seems to always get the lowest ID detailID when created during import, regardless of what is selected in “Related Detail”.  Is there s

For scheduling purposes, we want to be able to see a whole top level parent item and all its components all at once, with the current lead times of each part.  Is there a page where I can see all of that?  Or a report?

HiIs it somehow possible to get the customer reference automatically in instant invoice?Today we need to add the customer reference manually in the “More information” tab. When e-invoices are sent, customer ref is mandatory and it would be much easier if this filed had the customer ref inherited from the customer card.

HelloCould you tell me if you have experienced this : it’s happen to me one  week ago so i didn’t pay attention, but now a customer is facing the same “issue”when the customer open his astea browser the system behave as if it has never been installed and ask for to download it again. (for me i have the same “problem” for all Astea Browser whatever the release number or the customer) Thanks for your feedbackRgdsChristophe

Does anyone know on the Auto Process Shop Order workflow what the sequencing is regarding reservation? We understand the SO Start Date and Required Date options but what if we have two SOs with the same requirements/SO Start Date and material line Required Date and only enough stock to satisfy one lot of demand.  What’s the next level of criteria? ThanksLinda

I had a quick question. If you create an IAL in Cloud and put a where clause into the quick report for the Crystal Report, does it cause the report to blank out?  I made a Crystal Report in Cloud using an IAL and got it to display the data without the Where Clause (I don’t suspect it’s permissions at this point because it worked WITHOUT a where clause) but once I put in a where clause it would return no data. I made a SQL version of the report as well and it does return data with the where clause in place. I just want to get a better understanding why this is happening and how I can get around this. The report works in Crystal just fine but once I put into our TEST Environment, the report comes up completely blank. Thank you.

Hi,Is it possible to build a custom field for the Inventory Part In Stock table that shows how many days we have before the expiration?I’ve been trying to build a read only field, as a select statement, even though I’m able to save the custom field I cannot validate it.here are my SQL, image of the Custom and Image of errorSELECT a.expiration_date, TRUNC(a.expiration_date) - TRUNC(SYSDATE) AS CF$_DAYS_TO_EXPIREFROM inventory_part_in_stock aWHERE a.LOT_BATCH_NO = :LOT_BATCH_NO AND a.expiration_date IS NOT NULL;

Hello, Is anyone able to explain what exactly enabling the “Run Integrated with CRP” option does when you perform Site MRP in Cloud? There seems to be conflicting info, which is confusing me. The field help description states: If this option is enabled, CRP backward scheduling logic will be used to schedule shop order requisitions generated from the process. As a result, the start dates of the requisitions/receipts generated will be more accurate. However, this thread explains that the MRP calculation will use the routing information to calculate the fixed & variable lead time to schedule the SOR start date. It will only use the manufacturing lead time value on the Inventory Part screen if the routing time is 0. So if this is the case, what does enabling the CRP option in MRP actually do? This thread explains it is not the same as running CRP separately, i.e. the data in the machine & labour load screens won’t update until CRP is run separately. I think what I’m looking for is

Hello Team IFS,I would like to close the DOP Structure. My DOP is not connected to a customer order line. So i presume it should be delivered to stock  but I don’t know how … What should I do to completely close the thing :

Hi, We want to trigger an Process Flow on Event when an Interaction is created. Why is this trigger only available on Service Orders and not on Customer Support Orders.I want to trigger on Customer Support and not on Service Order. Service Order Triggers: Support Orders: We are on Version: 15.4.6Thanks,Robin

We have an expression field called ‘Total Price’ on our Request screen that contains the formula below.sum(part_need.extended_price). Also shown below. This was created by a consultant some years ago. What has been reported by users is that is counts the part need lines twice. Example below where the Total Price calculates as double the expected value. On investigating I noticed that the part need table does not have a field called extended price so I dont know how this works at all.Further investigation reveals that when only the part need is present the Total Price calculates correctly. Only when the part need is shipped to create a part usage goes the value double. This would suggest that although the formula below seemingly sums only part needs. It is in fact summing part needs and part usages.sum(part_need.extended_price)Any advide would be appreciated. Thanks,Barry

Hi All,What is the syntax to hide fields based on uncheck of a check box in mobile. In short I want to hide 2 mobile fields when the other field checkbox is unchecked(unticked). For example I want to hide part id and quantity when the From Part Needs check box is unchecked on the below mobile screen.   Thanks in Advance,Pinmaya

We have a few thousand obsolete inventory parts (status = O - OBSOLETE). Is there a way to hide/archive these parts to stop coming up on Inventory Part searches? It is “cluttering” the screen and there is no reason for users to see these PNs.In our old system we [in general] archived parts that had been obsoleted for at least 2 years. Once archived, it would not show up on standard inventory part searches. There was a special way to search for archived parts and it was possible to “unarchive”, but seldom did we ever have a need to do this. Thanks

HiI kindly request an explanation of how the 'Ignore if not found' parameter works. If we untick it, what will happen?

Are there any special considerations or configuration that must be performed to allow for the usage of longer paths when saving a Message Format as JSON?I seem to be unable to save a new Message format with Base Message Format as JSON and Path as anything more than 3 characters.  Attempts at longer paths such as /devices causes an error:  ErrorPath (JsonExpression) exceeds the configured maximum length of 3The Assyst Wiki (assystETM Message Formats:JSON) does not mention any limitations in Path, nor mention how to configure the maximum length.
