Hello Team IFS,

I would like to close the DOP Structure.

My DOP is not connected to a customer order line. So i presume it should be delivered to stock  but I don’t know how … What should I do to completely close the thing :

Hi Nicolas,

The stocks of the your FAB01 part is currently Reserved for this DOP, that is why the error.

You will have to Unreserve that stock to proceed with the closing.

Select this node in your DOP structure

First, try with this option if is it displayed for you.

(Data here are from a demo environment)

If not, then click on this option

Select the line → click on “Unreserve”

As a result, your inventory reservation is removed now.

You should be able to Close the DOP now.

Hello,

I don’t want to unreserve that.

I netted the Order because we have some stock. An so the reservation is done. I don’t understand why I have to remove the reservation if that’s exactly what I want.

So how to use this reserved stock ? Is there an option like “Issue reserved Part” or something like that ?

Thank you for your kindess :)

Hi Nicolas,

Why have you created this DOP in the first place ?

What are you planning to do with this part FAB01 ?

DOP is generally used to manufactured an item to cater for a particular order, such as for a Customer Order. You have mentioned that this particular DOP is not meant for that purpose. So, could you please clarify some background here ?

Hello Yes of course,

At our customer the DOP is not linked with a customer Order. Because they are not using this process. They use the DOP to generate automatically requistions and shop orders. I know it is not the best way to do but they didn’t want to adapt their old process.

So basically the DOP is not connected to any customer order but only to a project.

I would like to know how can I manage the DOP while we have a stock reservation ?

Hi Nicolas,

As I could see you have reached to the natural end of the your DOP process. In the standard application the options you have is to either Reserve this DOP produced qtys to a Customer Order, Or Unresrve from the DOP and make the qtys available in the stocks.

However, since this DOP is connected to a Project I believe what you are expecting finally is to issue these qtys to the Project, isn’t it ? Then you can follow the second option mentioned above and issue the qtys to the Project through a Misc. Demand.

Ok,
But now we are in the level 0 with FAB01.

What if the same case appears in Level 2, 3, 4 etc…

How will I know if the part is reserved and used or not ?

Do I have to reserve it at the project inventory or not ?

Hi Nicolas,

If there are stocks still at Reserved state in the lower levels then it means the higher level work is not finished, i.e., raw material needed for a Shop Order of a sub-assembly are not issued yet. You have to issue those to the relevant Shop Orders and repeat up until the top most part is fully Reserved.

The Reservations (if there are) are shown at each level as the node below. If you see this node then that means the stocks are not yet issued (used for anything).
