Manufacturing visualizer is used to schedule shop order operations using drag and drop. Operations are typically rescheduled without compression, leaving subsequent operations and shop order finish dates the same. As soon as an operator reports any complete or scrapped quantities, the shop order is again backwards scheduled and the operation start and finish dates revert back. Is this preventable? Can IFS maintain the rescheduled/uncompressed finish date on the scheduled operation?

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric,

May I know why it is needed. Why shouldn’t the visualizer reflect /reset operation start and finish time as per the remaining time? why it is needed “ uncompressed”?

Thanks

Hi Saman,

A rescheduled operation converting back to a compressed finish date will overlap with other operations, causing the work center to appear overloaded.

Here’s an example of an overloaded work center caused by automatically rescheduled operations.

Preferably, the operation should maintain it’s uncompressed finish date, maintaining the desired schedule.
