We use IFS10, but i can only input 1 CSC at a time, is there a way i can input the same code multiple times? 

Is there a way to track who created a routing revision and what the old value was compared to the new value in the operations? 

Request your ideas and thoughts on how other clients and customers use the costing functionality when it comes to semi finished goods.Examples you bring in Product X to the inventory . Before the final product at intermediate levels the costing needs to be notified and calculated. Like your feedback and suggestions.Creating multiple shop orders would be one suggestion. Hence, having created multiple semi finished goods part records.

I’m attempting to build finished goods (master schedule level 1 parts) using an EOQ planning method (E or F). When running MS, it generates requisitions based on lot for lot logic, disregarding planning methods.I also attempted planning method G and set the order cover time out far enough to where many of these requisitions should be combined and there was no change. Am I missing something, does MS not consider planning methods?IFSApp10.    

Customers in the Tire Manufacturing industry seems to be using the manual Issue Option instead of the backflush from shop orders.The business need would depend per order and BOM would change, hence using backflush would be impossible. Like more input from Global Tire Manufacturing Companies on how its handled by them.  

I would like to know and have feedback about the chassis number. When mapping which would be the advice field to reflect the number and backtrack at any point. The part could be a cycle or an automobile. If the serial track number is assigned for another internal number what would be the number used for this purpose. I like some feedback from other large global customers.

We have manufacturing tools where Calibration is required, there is a number of days set in the Time Between Calibrations field, and in the instance the Last Calibration Date is filled in as required.  However, the Next Calibration Date does not populate.  There are some tools where that field operates correctly and is filled in, but not for all.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi all,I want to automatically set values for inventory parts (these parts are created via 3rd party software) and sent to IFS. I tried this with a custom event and custom procedure, however, it doesn’t seem to trigger once the parts are sent over to IFS. This should trigger based on if the part meets certain criteria such as:Type Code Site StatusAny thoughts on how to achieve this outside of a custom event which then calls custom procedures?Thanks,R

Hello Community We are using IFS9After performing the detailed transfer and confirming it the structure is not coming in PRODUCT structure screen.  

 When creating new inventory parts, Phase In is defined by default to the day the Inventory Part is created. In many cases, this poses some problems, for example, when incorporating that new inventory part to a product structure which was started the day before (phase in “yesterday”), or when including the inventory part in shop orders where required date is in the past….  The fix is easy but tedious, updating the Phase in in the inventory part to sometime in the past.  Is there any way to set in IFS that al new inv Parts created are created with a pre-determined phase in? Thanks in advance,  Iker A  

Hello,With all the supply chain disruptions, we have a large backlog of customer orders.  This situation has our customer care team in need to understand how IFS goes through the logic of reserving customer orders. There seems to be circumstances were a specific order for a specific part is not reserving when it should because of the supply is now available.  I figure it has to do much with the “many” dates on a customer order line. Anyway, does anyone have a clear document or logical decision tree explaining how customer order reservations work in IFS.  We are on Apps9, update 16.  Thanks!!

Hi,We have some cancelled shop orders with outstanding WIP value.In our opinion WIP value should be cleared when a shop order is cancelled.How do we have to deal with it?We are using IFS APPS10 UPD8. Thanks and best regards,Madeleine

Hi, is there any way to use the standard functionality "Mass update shop order structure" when use Project Deliverables? I understand that Shop orders that are created from the PD structure cannot be updated, but why the system should prevent updation SO that are not connected?In my point of view it is a bug, but maybe you will convince me there is a way:Thank you in advance for any idea/solution.BR,David

Hello @Peter Lundgren and others!I am working with a customer who went live with IFSAPP10 UPD7 (IEE only) in 2020 and we have now merged UPD14 to their environments and are performing tests in BnT. When I create a new Inventory Part I got the ORA error ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("IFSAPP"."QMAN_MANDATORY_PART_TAB"."SIMPLIFIED_REV_HANDLING"). I had to add the relevant site to the Quality Basic Data Site, then it works. This was not a problem in UPD7. I notice that when I create a new site the system automatically creates a record in this page but the customer doesn’t have any records here in their TEST and PROD environement so something must have happened between UPD7 and UPD14. It’s of course a work around to add this info in the Quality Basic Data Site but before asking the customer to do so it would be good to know why it is needed. They don’t use QUAMAN although they have it installed. We have found bug id 160770 that seems relevant in this discussion. Anyone have an idea on

In which way you plan labor capacity in advance?We have several labor classes and same persons might work this week in labor class 1 and next week in labor class 2 etc. Problem is shown in the picture below.  Also, we know that in week 10 we will have 4 persons more in labor class 1, but those persons are not hired yet (so we are not able to create employees in IFS). Is there an possibility to add those hours to labor class capacity still? 

When I try to setup navigation from within a Lobby element object like a matrix it fails if I’ve used an API call in the data object in IFSv9. How do I get it to use the selection criteria in the data object and accept the valid api function?This would be immensely useful to us. Thank you in advance for any tips or guidance.  

hi,while running Transfer Inventory Transaction for a certain site, we are getting the error `The InventoryTransactionHistory object has been removed by another user. ORA-20115: InventoryTransactionHist.REMOVED2`  and cannot complete status type 2 transactions into status type 3.can any one comment on how to resolve this error?kind regards,Volkan

Need your help in understanding the capability indices calculation.As per IFS, to calculte such quality indices, at least one Control Plan must exist, and at least two Analyses for a Control Plan line in this Control Plan must be in status “complete”. I totally agree with the first prerequisite but do not understand the second one.In fact, in our  company, we are manufaturing small run of parts and some of them can only be manufactured once a year. And so, we still must calculate the Cp/Cpk/mean on one shop order and cannot wait the next year to have a second shop order on the same part to estimate the proportion of parts that are within specification limits.Am I mistaken or can IFS fulfiil our requirements in another way ?Thanks for your help

We are using shop floor workbench and are wanting to capture Cost of Poor Quality by recording labor to a rework category.  Our product usually has “fit” difficulties in assembly and would prefer to be able to clock into a transaction type of rework versus having to create a rework shop order.  Does anyone else have any experience in this category?
