Working with recipes using Percents in Cloud 21R2 that is working fine.  However when a shop order is created for the recipe there is no references to the original recipe %’s, just “Quantity Per” and and total qty required of each component.  In this case the machine operator needs the percentages as they use them in machine set-up.  We can of course print the standard recipe for reference, but we have several scenarios that are presenting big challenges, any suggestions or previous solutions for these would be very appreciated.

Some things that complicate this - we have a main recipe or product structure for the product, which includes a phantom component that is a recipe.  And is some cases there can be more than one phantom recipe component, with different percents in the finished good.  So the math can get pretty complicated when trying to manipulate a shop order and material quantities if adjustments are made.  We really want to keep the Phantom Recipe concept for ease of maintenance as there are a limited number of these versus  several thousand finished goods.  Finished goods may have UOM of pounds, “Each” or “Case”, but all raw materials have UOM of pounds.

When the operator makes changes to the machine percent settings to get the product coming out right we would like to make the same changes to the shop order as we are backflushing material, and would prefer to backflush the correct quantities of each raw material.  Also want to capture the change so it’s known and trackable.  And if the operator needs to report additional material consumption due to excess waste/by-product during production, and easy way to issue additional amounts of each raw material in proportion to the weight of the waste will be needed.

Thanks

Jon
