Dear community,
I would like to know if someone uses, in IFS Cloud the fields reference number & reference type in the manufacturing routing operations.
In fact, we are currently in Apps8 with a pending project of IFS Cloud upgrading and these fields are new notions which did not exist previously.
I do not understand really what kind of information can be fulfilled and how they can be used in the manufacturing flow.

Reference Number
The Reference Type has to be setup here first:
The Type Description is derived from the Reference Type, you can’t edit it on the Work Guidelines directly, but it looks like this.
It is new from V9 and V10 as well, so we haven’t put it into use yet, but as the description states, it is for connection to a separately printed work instruction that isn’t maintained in IFS.
