We are getting this error when trying to create another analysis on a shop order. We have never had this before and all control plan settings appear to be correct. Any ideas?
Using Enterprise Explorer, Apps 10. Unsure if i’ve selected the correct sub forum but there isn’t one for inventory or warehouse so have gone for manufacturing (since it the below issue mainly affects our factory stock counts). When creating a new Inventory Location, the Bay, Row, Tier and Bin fields default to ‘ -’ (rather than just ‘-’). If this isn’t noticed and any of them are left like this, when someone on the shop floor tries to generate a count report (using all of the Bay/Row/Tier/Bin information), there is a good chance that they won’t notice the leading space in these fields and the count report will not generate, meaning that they are unable to count the stock. This is particularly an issue since inventory locations can’t be deleted and recreated after they have been used before. Is there a reason why the Bay/Row/Tier/Bin fields default to this ‘ -’ value?
Hi, instead of hiding an option in “Time Clock Type Detail Items”, the complete row was deleted. However, there doesn’t seem to be an option to add the row again? How can I add this again? In this specific case, Item name “Site” should be visible for Object name “Start Production” as well.
Hi, We are using timeclock in production. We use mainly 2 Objects names (=buttons): “STOP PRODUCTION” and “REPORT QTY COMPLETE”. The user first identifies himself. When we use “STOP PRODUCTION”, only the operation the user is showing which he can select to stop. However, when we use “REPORT QTY COMPLETE”, after identification the complete list of operations is showing. So there is no filter which takes the employee into account. Does anyone has an idea how to add this filter, so the behaviour is comparable to STOP PRODUCTION?
Hi Community, When Creating a New document revision it will occur the below error .Customer is in IFS Cloud 22R2 { "error": { "code": "ODATA_PROVIDER_ERROR", "message": "An internal server error occurred. Contact administrator.", "details": [ { "code": "HTTP_METHOD_NOT_ALLOWED", "message": "HTTP method 'GET' not allowed for this resource." } ] }}In the debug information it shows the above error. Please let me know if any one came across this error Thank you
Hello,In IPAP you see the projected usable quantity for a part at future dates. I want to get an overview of all the projected usable quantities for all parts in our site at a date in the future, for example 31st December. How can I do this?Regards,Basil
Hi, After creating, releasing and netting a DOP structure, we have multiple shop orders generating the same end product. We merge these shop orders, in a planned status, into one order. However, if we now release that one shop order, IFS only reserves the components which were in the initial shop order. The components that come from the ‘old’ shop orders, are not reserved. However, everything was netted. The reserve/issue method of that SO is “Backflush” If we take a look at the “new” shop order, under ‘DOP Supply orders’, all components are listed there. The supply type is inventory reservation. In “inventory part reservation screen”, we see that the part from the “original” shop order are reserverd, the ones from the “old” shop orders are still netted to the DOP. Any experience with this?
Our customer manufactures parts in batches of thousands of pieces. The cost per part is very low, like a couple of cents. In their old system, they are used to calculate parts per 1.000 pieces so that they get more accurate information on part cost.In IFS Cloud, we prefer not to change the inventory UoM to 1.000 pieces since this would impact shop order planning and sales. This method will be applicable, for example, in the plastics processing industry, injection molders dealing with multiple cavaties.Companies with raw materials in kg and small manufactured parts in grams. Is it possible to calculate part cost per 1.000 pieces somehow? Are there users that have similar requirements and how have you handled it?
Please can someone share the enhancement made on Constraint-based scheduling from Apps 10 to the Cloud release? I could not find any info on the Enhancements Spreadsheet. Many ThanksMartin
We have a situation where a person has rejected a step on an approval router and has since left the company. The is the last step on the router but I can not get it to progess to 100% approval due to this. Does anyone know how to correct this ?
Hi, We like that if a users identifies himself on the shop floor timeclock, only operations that are applicable to his labour class are visible. Is that possible? Currently, everything is visible which doesn’t make sense. We only need operations for the labour class that the operator is in. Thank you!
We would like to batch print our work instructions for shop orders at our Go-Live. Is there a way to do this in 22R1?
Hello Community - Does anyone have any thoughts on the best practice for how often to run the cleanup of inventory function? We are on IFS10 update 19. We have only been running the cleanup once a year before our physical inventory. However, we have recently started weekly cycle counts and are considering running the cleanup more often. TIA.
I have Day Types with the correct minutes for each day. When this information is put into a calendar, some days are not giving the same work time. For example, the Day Type for a Sunday shows 11pm-12am with a working time of 60 minutes. However, when that is added to a calendar, it generates Sunday as a full 480 minutes (8-hr shift). How can I make sure the minutes of a selected day type entered into the calendar does not change?*Correct Day Type Information*Correct Day Type Information needed to reflect in calendarCorrect Day Type Information needed to reflect in calendar*Wrong times reflected in the calendar for the above day types*Calendar Working Time differ than Day Type Working Time**Here is the schedule connected to the Calendar, it is correct**
Hi, we are currently investigating to start using constraint based planning for employees/persons. However, we are struggling. How can we assign persons to operations? Can be with APB, or not, we don’t know either way. Does this option give us the possibility to generate planning on a person level? How can we also set the labor capacity as a seperate contstraint factor? Currently, APB only takes workcenters into account so we manually check afterwards. Is it possible to assign some kind of efficiency to a operator? Lets say person A can do a certain job at 100% (which equals 4 hours). However, if we assign person B to that same operation because A is not available, he will not score 100%. We estimate it to be 50% because he is less well trained, so the operation will take 8 hours. Is something like this possible?Using IFS Apps 10.Thanks!
In IFS Cloud 22R2, we can enable and successfully use the security checkpoint when performing signoff of shop order work guidelines, if we use the Shop Order Work Guidelines client. However, the same operation will fail in Shop Floor Workbench (on the tab for work guidelines under the dispatch list). How can we find further information about this limitation? What we want to know is exactly why it does it not work in one client but not in the other? And will it be fixed and when?
IFS Cloud 22R2 customer is looking forsome documentation on how to set up someone who would be a technician for the Technician Portal. They looked on the page documentation and tried to drill down from there but did not see a step by step what is required to have a technician set up Any guidance will be appreciated.
Apps8I have two shop order requisitions for a serialized part that uses Date Effectivity. I am unable to merge these requisitions into an existing shop order or into a new shop order as the context menu item Merge Into Shop Order(s) is grayed out.In the documentation there is nothing stated in the Prerequisites of any restriction due to serialization.Would this have been a bug, or was this not possible in Apps8?
Hello,Is it possible to have IFS plan/issue in minimum unit quantities? For instance, PartA has inventory UoM in mL and is issued in mL, and it is only available in 1 mL increments. So, if a shop order calls for < 1 mL of material, we want planning to see demand for 1 mL. For example, if we need 0.6 mL for the shop order, we are going to open one of the 1 mL packages, use 0.6 mL, and ‘scrap’ the remaining 0.4 mL because it can not be used after the package is opened. We don’t want Planning to ‘see’ demand for 0.6 mL on one shop order and demand for 0.4 mL on a 2nd shop order and think that we have enough material when, in fact, we would need 2 mL (2 x 1mL packages). Since we are going to use 1 mL increments no matter what, we want planning to see demand in 1 mL increments and we want to issue in 1 mL increments. Defining the UoM as each would be the best way to handle this, but is there a way to handle it in another UoM.
Hi, We use the repair Shop order. Never has issues with it, untill now. If we want to receive to SO, We get the error: “Serial number XXX cannot be received because it was not issued or has allready been received to this repair order’ However, if i take a look at the part serial History of that part, the lates line created says under transaction Description: “Issued for Shop order YY” The shop order number is the same as the shop order giving a problem. On the shop order itself, the material line status of that part is also ‘Issued’The status of the shop order is ‘started’, all operations are closed. We just need to do the reception. In the Part serial history of that part, you can see:Part was manufuctured using SO Blue Part was issued to SO Red As the part was faulty, it was unissued and unreserved for SO Red. It’s also not visible in the As Built Structure. The SO is still open Part was issued to repair SO Black. This one needs to be closed, so we can issue it back to SO Red and cont
Community, wondering there is a way to automatically split the shop order by qty 1 on each shop order. for example, if original shop order qty 10, after split, i should get 10 shop orders with Qty 1 each. Thank you.
When I attach a file to a design part revision, the attached document also appears on the tree screen on the left side of Engineering part navigator screen. Is it possible to hide the attached document from this tree screen in IFS APP10 ?
In the setup of a master part one is able to connect the part to an assortment. In that form it is possible to include a Classification Part No. In IFS23R1, there is no help text on this.Anyone an idea what the functionality is behind this?
HiWe are using ifs 10.8 on premise.I’m trying to use Control Plans and Create Shopfloor analysis from our mes system.I would like to create and fill out the analysis automaticly using the projections interface (rest) When I call … int/main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/ShopOrderHandling.svc/CreateAnalysiswith body{"AnalysisNo":null,"CtrlPlanNo":null,"OrderNo":"375979","ReleaseNo":"*","SequenceNo":"*","OperationNo":"40","LotBatchNo":"*","SerialNo":null,"ConsiderOpScrap":false}Data taken fra postman interceptor.I get internal server error. Where to look for what is wrong. If i call int//ifsapplications/projection/v1/ShopOrderHandling.svc/GetExistingAnalysisCount(OrderNo='375979',ReleaseNo='*',SequenceNo='*',OperationNo=40)I get the value 4, so the order and operation is understood. What to call to insert data.int/ifsapplications/projection/v1/AnalysisResultHandling.svc/ResultDataVirtualSet ?
We enable the Adjust on Op Qty Deviation on manufactured Inventory Parts. This is ensure the deviation is included when the prior operation in a shop order has been over or under reported. However, if the part is set to make-to-Order on MS Level 1, this cannot be enabled unless the Configuration usage is changed to “Variant” or “Option” (instead of “Common”).Whats the logic behind this? What systematic differences betwen using a configruation usage of “Variant” or “Option” instead of “Common”. This doesn’t appear to be documented anywhere.
