I am trying to create a Custom Event in IFS 8 - “CRO Receive Part” to Display an Alert if a user tries to save when the Serial No on the Receive does not match the one on the “Component Repair Order”.I am able to use Error_Sys.Record_General to display a message  and force the user to go back, however, sometimes it is OK that the Serial No is different. Hello,is there a way in IFS how to not allow users to release DOP according to some condition on inventory part?? On inventory part we have characteristics and let say one attribute of characteristics is mandatory, let's call it DN. And if we use this inventory part in DOP head and the parameter is not filled, has no value, users should not be able to release DOP. The system should tell them info message about not filled attribute of characteristic. I don't know how to create stop event on logical unit DopHead and checking the conditions on logical unit InventoryPartChar. Any clue?ThanksJanIFS version 10 update 8

Hi, When parts are received being connected in a DOP with a pegged order, they are automatically reserved. Afterwards, if we create the pick list, the parts reserved are also there. We don’t want that, they can be backflushed. It contaminates our pick lists :) How can we exclude these parts from the pick list? They are all on the some location.

Hi, how can we set the default method “create pegged” to Pegged or no pegged in a DOP? Some components we never want it to be pegged. Doesn’t matter in which DOP. If we don’t have stock, we just want MRP to order it without a peg.Other components can always be pegged. So it depend on the inventory part. I can change it on the DOP itself, but do I need to do it each time?

Hi, We would like to start using our employees/labor classes as a Finite resource. Now, only the work centers are finite.Is it correct, like with the work centers, we just need to put the labor class on finite capacity and connect the calanders/ calculate capacity? How does APB behave if you don’t have anough capacity on your labor class? Let say you need 2 employees, but you only have one. Can you than say ‘it will take double as long’ or does he just say ‘not possible’?Thanks!

When we scrap wip from a Mfg shop order we run into a few problems:We can’t re-use any of the material/components that are still good from the parent part we had to scrap.  when we go to receive the finished products left on the Shop Order we sometimes get message about not enough material due to some scrapping of another finished product.

Cloud 22.2.1I have an Analysis for a serial part for a variable type data point. I selected the serial numbers for the analysis. I entered the results for the serial numbers and completed and confirmed the analysis. In the header of the Analysis Result page, when I select ‘View Serial Numbers’ there are no serial numbers listed.Using ‘View Serial Numbers’ in Apps10 EE the assigned serials are still visible.Is this a bug or a new feature?

Hi, We are currently evaluating use of Cost type and Cost Source indicators. We run into problem where Cost Types are missing in “Cost Details Basic Data/Cost Source Indicator Definition” for some of our companies. I cannot find out where and how this is defined. See below where one company (935) have all cost types while company 942 only have one cost type. Does anyone know? 

When engineering creates new BOM, the top level and any newly created P/Ns will have a phase in date matching the date it was created. When the BOM is transferred to manufacturing, and becomes product structure, no supply reqs will be generated unless phase in date is changed to be in the past. A sub-component must have phase in date that is before its top level phase in date.

Hi All, im looking to produce a report to output the multilevel materials and components on a finished serialized part or even at the shop order level rather than serial level.I cant find a view in IFS and am having difficulty finding which tables and views will allow me to make a query to establish this connection.i have tried to describe the kind of connection im looking for below but for N levels and N componentsshop ord component a shop ord component 1 shop ord component # component # component 2 shop ord component # component # component B shop ord component 1 shop ord component # component # component 2 shop ord component # component #any help or support anyone can offer to point me in the right direction will be appreciated.   

When implementing a new company , all of the site/parts from the migration was set to 'Ignore' in the Eng Revision Transfers window. Can this 'Ignore' be reversed?

Community, I have a question about  total supply for purchase order in window Inventory Part Currently on Hand, Total Supply Purchase Order, quantity 54402.Purchase Order Total Supply​​​​meantime, i did a query for all active purchase order lines for the part, see below queryPurchase order line query for part active statusthen I get total purchase order lines, which sum total qty for 52000Active purchase order linesjust wondering where the rest of qty 54402-52000=2402 are?? Thank you.

My company is trying to get more users over to our Aurena environment and one of the things we are testing is the shop floor workbench at the moment. We noticed that there is a button already labeled “scrap” which is actually “Scrap Part” in IEE. We have moved “Scrap Component” out from under the drop down menu to a button menu next to “Scrap” (which I have relabeled (“Scrap Finished Good”). Is there a way for me to configure the new menu item to have a trash can icon next to it and be a different color like “Scrap” is displayed? I just don’t want it to look like a regular menu item.

Hello, We’re looking for advice on how to handle on hold material. We are currently using availability controls as a way to designate if product can be used in shop orders or shipped, but it is not meeting all of our needs. We watched the quality demo webcasts which were great about showing all of the testing that can be done, but it doesn't show anything about what happens once a product fails the test. In addition, we would like to have a lot more traceability when it comes to holds/releases. We are in the food and beverage industry so having an audit trail is very important and we don’t have a good one right now. Any helpful info or best practices are greatly appreciated.Thanks,Mike

Hello Community.We have this case.There are thousands of components placed in thousands of Configuration Structures.Configuration rules make sure that those components will never be used again. They are considered as obsolete.But those components are still visible in Costing (main inconvenience) and MRP.How to clean them up easily? Creating new Configuration Structure revision for thousands of Parts is not an option.Also running "Engineering\Structure\Phase Out or Replace Structure Component" one by one is not an option.It would be possible to change them into 'Not Consumed' by migration job, but this would be helpful in MRP. Costing would still see them because for different reason we have INCLUDE_NOT_CONSUMED = Yes.Only option that comes to my mind is to create migration job, that will run CONFIG_STRUCTURE_API.Remove_ on selected records (inactive components perhaps).Any other ideas appreciated.Regards, Lukasz 

Hello everyone, (Sorry for poor quality img)I´ve run into some issues concering the receiving of serialized parts in the component repair order (CRO) flow. The problem has started to become more frequent and I would like to find the root cause of this issue. Summary of problem: The repair technician wants to close the repair shop order. First, the time of the operation is reported then the reception of the parts should be done.The problem is that an error message appears which signals that we should use the same availability control ID or W/D/R number in the existing stock.We don´t assign different W/D/R numbers currently, and Control ID’s are not common practice in that area of operations. Therefore, the issue is interesting to say the least. Our setup:We are currently not tracing finished/semi-finished products. Although, the products that are received through the CRO - process has a serial number. Current workaround is to change the Control ID in the “Receive Parameter”, which enabl

Hello, I would like to setup a Compliance Plan to generate Audits for associates at my company. I’ve setup a test Plan and created and Audit ID. I am able to release the Audit and complete it, but I was under the impression you could schedule Audits to generate automatically. The only option I have found is to Re-Generate Audit on the Closed Audit that is connected to the Compliance Plan. This appears to require manual intervention each time you would like to create a new Audit and assign it to someone from the Audit pool. This solution would not scale well, as there would need to be an individual to generate, assign, and create Focus Areas for each Audit. Is there a step that I have not properly configured to create and generate Audits? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,I need to understand how status ‘In Effect’ and ‘Not In Effect’ work in part revision tab and what is the connection with phase in/out dates?.In the below example, for revision , even though phased out date is 13/2/2023, repair status is ‘In Effect’. Also for revision 5, even though no phased out date is entered , product/repair status is ‘Not In Effect’. Could someone be able to explain please? Also let me know How to identify which is the latest revision we use to manufacture or to purchase inventory parts at the moment?Thank you

Hi,I have a problem, applies to two inventory part:1. If i set the default location SK1-SP when creating a production order sets WK0-SP in the proposed location  2. If i remove the location from inventory part when creating a production order, it sets WK0-SP to the proposed location For other inventory parts, setting up a default location works fine.Does anyone know where else the default location parameter is set?
