Hi Team,It would be great if any of you can advise how chart of account should be setup for below posting controls and what is the logic used? ( whether same account should be used for counter postings etc)   

Dear All,During implementation for our client on IFS Cloud 24R2 we have observed following in MWo. Is there any setting that can control below scenario of restricting the work assignment before setting as completed in MWo.The technician if changes the date/time in the past. Say current time is 11AM IST and technician is working in this time zone. If he changes the time on mobile from automatic to manual and changes time to 8AM. The following is effect in the application.Say allocation time is 11AM to 12PM for 1 hour, if technician changes time and completes assignment. Then application will capture work assignment start and finish as 8AM and 9AM respectively against the allocation time of 11AM to 12 PM. Is there any setting to restrict this from MWo which validates the time between allocate time and start/finish time ?Thanks for your help and replies in advance.Regards,Srinivas

We have two companies, each with one site.  A couple employees are transferring from one to another, and we'd like to know if there is a "best practices" we can follow to avoid complications or mistakes along the way.  Specifically:1) Shop Floor Workbench - Can a single employee, in one of the companies but with access to both, clock in/out of operations for each company?2) Cost accounting - I believe org assignment for a given employee is the (passive) driver of directing costs to the appropriate GL.  For a single person, migrated from one company to the other, do we have to create a new Employee File for them in the new company?  Should we term the Employee File in the older company?  Or would we want to keep the old employee file active to allow logins to SFW for Company A operations?Are there any best practices guidelines for this type of use case?Thanks.

Hi Experts,Has anyone faced below issue in Export licenses.My customer is in IFS Cloud 24.1.2 version. Even when the customer orders are connected to export license, net amount of the CO line is not fetched to the below fields.I checked the sales parts prices are defined and the net amounts are visible in the CO line level as well.I checked internal cloud env in 24R2 and it works fine. Just wondering if this is an issue in this 24.1.2 version.Anyone know any info in this please?  Thanks,Chamath

Hello everyone,Our company is planning to set up a resilient IFS Remote Cloud on AWS, and we need redundancy at every possible point of failure.MT Server: According to IFS documentation, it's recommended to have at least three nodes with a load balancer for high availability (IFS High Availability Overview). Has anyone implemented this architecture? If so, could you share your experience and any tips? Oracle Database Server: IFS supports Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition/Standard Edition 2. However, relying on a single database instance seems risky due to the potential for a single point of failure. Has anyone used Oracle Cluster or other redundancy solutions for the database? Any insights on setting up Oracle Standard Edition High Availability or Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! 

Why is Warehouse Description not included as an available standard field in entities like InventoryPartInStock? Seems like a weird omission.

Hello,I noticed that Engineering part transfer actions do not check wether the engineering revision already exist on destination site until a first transfer is made.I’m having an issue with a customer where inventory parts & engineering part revisions have been created via data migration. However, now each time a une an existing part revision in a new engineering structure, when I transfer the top code it creates revisions for all the components … This means the setup of Product structures (issue to location, conumption type, alternatives,  ...) needs to be made every single time a component is transferred for the first time, for all the parts already in destination site. I tried to tag the transfer actions as ‘transferred’ but couldn’t reach my goal. => Has everyone encountered such an issue ? How could this be fixed ?Thank you,//Pierre

Hello, Our company are looking into offering our employees the option to buy and sell holidays and were thinking of how we are going to manage this. We use IFS for HR and Payroll, however we are new to the system and unsure if this is something it can manage.  Any advise/feedback would be appreciated. 

Hello everyone,When reviewing past activities in PSO, we noticed that the displayed travel time is shown from the resource to the activity - instead of from one activity to the next, as expected.Do you have any idea why this might be?Could it be because the activities have been allocated (and not committed) and are in the past?Thank you!

Go to Any Shipment ID and go to Available Lines sub window.Available Lines tab is taking some time to load and after a while it is getting timeout notification as attached below. Has anybody noticed any workaround for this? 

We are currently in a dialog on a case with Support for improvements, but I’m curious about response times for other cloud customers in GL Balance Analysis/GL Balance Analysis Basic.Queries like the example below returns 84 accounts + balance in about 5 seconds when there are about 60 000 records in ACCOUNTING_BALANCE_TAB for the filter. A similar search for other accounts use about 2 ½ minute to return 33 accounts +balance for about 1,2 millions records for the filter in the same table.Our Size on Disk represent the amount of data since Go-live in April 2023.I’m looking forward to get more knowledge about your experienced response times for similar queries, your size on disk and if you have enabled the In-Memory Acceleration Package.Example search for year, period(s) and account(s)Size on disk from our test environment - about 700 MB more in PROD today 

Functional Scenario:Customer has a sales contract linked to a project. Sends several AFPs. After a specific point a final invoice which has the complete amount on it and also shows the deduction of the already paid AFPs is created. Problems/Issues:Sales Contract does not provide any kind of “Final Invoice” it is always just the project invoice based on AFP and that is based on the certified/confirmed amount. When matching the payment in advance/payment on account with the AFP. IFS automatically creates an invoice. This leads to the issue that we are not able to offset the previously paid AFPs against our complete “final invoice”. We are currently not able to have a process with advance payments via AFP and a final invoice that shows/includes the previously paid AFPs. Are we missing anything here or is such a scenario just currently not designed/considered in the sales-contracts yet?   Kind regardsAlex

I’m currently experiencing issues when pulling my GL Actuals into my Planning Entry when completing a forecast for the remaining year.I use the standard functionality to complete this task, however, I get the following error message.This will be across multiple companies, The message does not allow me to determine which items have uploaded and which haven’t. I don’t have a mechanism to allow a quick review and is very labour intensive.Has anyone experienced the same issue, or have a better process to complete this?Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks

Hi All,When a customer order line is connected to a staged billing profile and once a stage has been invoiced, it is not possible to cancel the CO line even after creating a credit invoice. When trying to cancel the order line, the system raises an error that 'The order line may not be cancelled when invoiced stages exist'.I have created the following Idea for the above issue.Please share if anyone knows a workaround.

With IFS Cloud, clients can access the system without needing a Windows-based device, which is a great flexibility benefit. However, for developers, the use of Developer Studio still requires a Windows operating system. This means it cannot be used on macOS devices.Given that Developer Studio is based on NetBeans, which is a cross-platform application, it shouldn't be technically difficult for IFS to provide a macOS-compatible version. Offering such support would significantly enhance the development experience and flexibility for Mac users.Is there any plan or roadmap for this?

Where can we get a listing of transaction codes from the ERPs to allow us to analyze which transactions we would consider “manual journal entries”. Are these codes subject to stricter control within and outside of the IFS system? Also does IFS APPS10 have the capability to implement a “park/post” feature that enforces segregation of duties for manual journal entry prep and post? Thank you,
