IFS OLAP Sales Cube Measures not populating

We have successfully deployed and populated the IFS Business Analysis Package OLAP cubes for IFS Apps 9 in a test environment. I found the Measures deployed within the Sales cube, which are based on the SUM aggregation, are not populating. However, I have confirmed there are Measures based on the SUM aggregation functioning correctly within the Manufacturing cube.There is data within the Sales-related Data Mart SQL tables as well. I did try changing the data types on the SQL Data Mart table and in the Cube via Visual Studio, neither of which worked.Has anyone else experience issues like this with the IFS OLAP cubes? Basically, there is data within the SQL tables but the Cube measures are not aggregating the SUM in the Sales OLAP cube.

Deploy a new Entity via delivery APPS10

Hi All, A rookie question :)When creating a new entity in Developer Studio, it will automatically generate the .cre file but when creating the delivery, the build script will not add the cre file to the install.temWhat should we do to deploy the new Entity table creation from the delivery? Cheers!

Is there a way to get a list of all the permission sets assigned to a user?

I would like to get a list of all the permission sets that have been assigned to a user, whether directly or indirectly. I can currently get a list of the directly linked permissions but we have some permission sets that are made up of other permissions. e.g. If a user has been assigned this permission I can see:User: BLOGGSFND_ROLE: BA_BARS_ADMIN What I would like to see is:User: BLOGGSFND_ROLE: BA_BARS_ADMINFND_ROLE: FND_RUNTIME Is this possible?

Lobby Element not automatically refreshing when changing the Site parameter

I have 1 lobby element that is not refreshing when I switch from one site to the other. If I refresh the screen it will refresh, just won’t when I change my site. I have multiple others in the same Lobby that do refresh, just not sure why this one does not. When I go to change the site on the drop down at the top, most elements get the refresh circle set, this one does not. Not sure what to look for, any idea/helpful hints? Apps 10 UPD5 in IEEE

Redirect Landing page to open IEE (also edit the Landing page)

Hi All, Apps10: Is there a way to customize the landing page so when navigating to that URL, IEE client is launched? i.e. when navigating to https://myserver:48080, IEE client should be launched and login screen shown straight away.also can we can drop certain items and add others? All of this should be done on cloud environments using configuration, so legal stuff only pls people :) found help under F1 Development guide but that does not say how to do it on a deployed environment. we can edit ifs_home\instance\MyInstance\www-root\index.html but is that legal? would it be overwritten? how can we get it done on the hosted environment? any help much appreciatedTIA

Automated User Creation

Hi! Have any one have any input how to solve automated user creation? I know there's is the AD sync, but haven't tried this yet, how is for example the HR Module solved? Thinking of when users move between departments or roles, also if there are any input on the Maintenance side work order reassignment? We are in the O&G and offshore personnel are changing position very often.All this in Apps10/Karl

SSO and Database Auth. at the same time

Is it possible to use both Single-sign on and Database Authentication at the same time for a user?If I look at the screenshot below I would expect I’m able to login via both SSO and Database Authentication. This is however not working.

Custom menus have several features/methods.two of Them are user method and state machine. can anyone tell me what they are for and how they are used? I did check the IFS documentation but honestly it was not very detailed or useful for these two types of method.

Hi All, Is there any documents to read about the future of IFS integrations and the support for Access providers (.Net Java) and basic authentication?In the Idea wall discussion https://ideawall.ifsworld.com/ideas/5c5daba2b0114c0d53ca1e1a it was said that the Activities as well as Access Providers will be deprecated in future releases but not said when and how.It’s better to have more information on this since the integrations we design today should be future proof with upgrades.

IFS10 ADFS enabled and user get Bad Request 400 with EE

Limit on concurrent connections to soapgateway?

Is there a limit to concurrent connections that can be operated by the fndext/soapgateway in IFS MWS Apps9? We see occasional network errors thrown by application logic in PLSQL that uses the PLSQLAP to communicate and call an activity in IFS MWS. It fails with message UTL_HTTP_ERRORS: Network error code 2, while communicating with application server. So it is not an unreachable issue (UTL_HTTP_DOWN). Any idea where we can trace this error? a log file to look at perhaps?

Active and Inactive User List

Is there a way to produce a list of current IFS Users as well as disabled accounts showing when the accounts were created and disabled?This is a SOX evidence requirement for our auditors.FND_USER doesn't hold any such dates; it just lists whether account is active or inactive. We use Single Sign-on, so no Oracle database accounts will be associated.Any ideas or suggestions

The Art of IndexingIn an online transactional database, administrators tend to avoid adding indexes because of their impact to inserts and updates. This is true in a laboratory setting, but a real-world system has to deal with a collection of concurrent workloads. OLTP ERP systems tend to be very read-heavy, in the neighborhood of 94% in my experience. Reducing the aggregate read load can free system resources, and if that means getting the system out of a heavily-loaded state, intelligently adding indexes can indirectly (and paradoxically) improve real-world write performance. Your mileage may vary. I recommend iteratively measuring the effects of tuning your own system rather than following any given recipe. "Match Case"Oracle string comparisons are case-sensitive, unlike Microsoft SQL or MySQL. This means the query hints in Enterprise Explorer do not accurately reflect the effects of the "Match Case" flag, since extra work is necessary to scrub the table's values to uppercase first,

Forms and Table or View List

Somewhere in IFS 10, each window knows which table or view it’s based on. And, the navigator knows what to display in it’s list and which window to display when the user clicks an item. How do I get a list of all the windows named in the navigator, the tables or views they’re based on, and their Object relations?For instance, someone created a custom menu in window “frmPriceInquiryAnswer” and I need to verify it works (for migration to IFS 10). Searching the navigator for something like that gets me to “Price Query” and it doesn’t have a custom menu. Multiply this by a list of 300 custom menus, and you see my problem.In advance, thanks so very much!

I see that UPD6 is out now. Anyone running this and can recommend going forward installing it? How can I set appropriate permissions related to entering/processing a CAPA?

I am trying to set up a couple of permission sets related to the entering and processing a corrective action. We’ll have one group that will only initiate the capa and enter the Investigation Data. I need to be able to restrict them from completing the subsequent steps (enter action data, verification data etc..). This looks pretty clear in the permission set, under frmNcrCapaActionsMain\Actions, there are 4 distinct options one for each step. I only have the “Enter Investigation Data” one checked for this permission set. However when testing, a user with this permission set has all of steps available.If I go deeper and look at the Presentation Objects by Component the options for “Enter Action Data” etc. are not granted but the Database Objects for each of the steps are the same (NCR_CORRECTIVE_ACTION_LINE, NCR_CORRECTIVE_ACTION_LINE_API) so they are granted.Is there any way to limit the access to specific steps? It seems as this should be possible so hopefully I’m just missing it.

Add cover page to document when printing

We are on App8 SP1+. We have some documents that require special handling if they are printed out. I can indicate which documents require this using a field on the document revision. These documents can be Word, Excel or pdf. Ideally I would like to have a cover page printed automatically anytime someone prints one of these documents. The cover page would always be the same. As an example it might say “Confidential Do Not Distribute”. Any ideas on how to accomplish this or other suggestions to accomplish something similar.Phil

UPD5 reported partial failure upon completion of the installer

A week ago, I successfully installed UPD5 to Apps 10 in my DEV environment with only one error reported in the installer.log and no errors reported in the IFSDEV10_configuration.log. Yesterday, I ran the UPD5 against my MGR environment and it reported a “partial Failure” with the following error in IFSMGR10_configuration.log 2019-10-17 17:51:59 Running ant script E:\ifs\mws\ifsmgr10\repository\server\install_fndmws.xml, target post for component server[java]: Java Result: 1Error in Ant-script: server\install_fndmws.xmlReported error is: The following error occurred while executing this line:E:\ifs\mws\ifsmgr10\repository\server\install_fndmws.xml:237: Failed to install Middelware Server!
