Is Apps 8 OLE DB Compliant?

Hi,

Does anyone know if Apps 8 is  OLE DB compliant? There's an API within another programme we used which is a standardised MicroSoft OLE DB API. We would like to know if its possible to link to IFS via that API?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hayley,

 

Assuming Apps 8 still uses an Oracle database as its back-end, you should be able to use any OLE DB driver for Oracle to expose data via that methodology.

I have experience with using Oracle Instant Client ODBC driver, but not with OLE DB, so apologies that I cannot be of more assistance.
