Client Script: working with Date/Time

Hello,Are there any script functions for working with dates and times?I’d like to work with the date and time as an integer so I can get the difference in hours between two date variables.  I can do Date1 - Date2 but the result is another date.  I’m just wanting the hours. Something like JavaScripts Date.getTime() would be very helpful.

Getting Error in Batch Server and print job are not working

Hi Guys, Print jobs are not working, when checked the log getting below error in batch server log.MessageQueueManager-BATCH2.ifs.fnd.batchserver.task.TaskManager.run --> MessageQueueTask-BATCH2 (TIMED_OUT) in state TASK_TIMED_OUTI am using IFS8 SP1, I am getting error in batch server Task timed out. Because of this my Print Job are in waiting and also application messages are in released state.I have restarted complete server, Tried increase batch process for Batch2 from IFS connect also restarted Application server task.Any idea on this… Thanks in AdvanceAnshul

IFS Job for Gather Statistics

Hi All, Question : It’s mentioned in the IFS documentation that there is a Oracle Job for gathering table statistics from Oracle 10g, and also an IFS job probably triggers this oracle job. It’s advised to use only one. Where can i find IFS related scheduled job which is responsible for gathering statistics?  Answer : “In Oracle10g there is a predefined Oracle job for gathering statistics. The job is called GATHER_STATS_JOB and can be seen in the view Dba_Scheduler_Job. You shall either use the Oracle job or the IFS job for gathering statistics, not both. You turn off the Oracle job by using Dbms_Scheduler.Stop_Job('GATHER_STATS_JOB');” There is a form called Oracle Objects in IFS applications. This can be used to analyze a performance issue whether the statistics are old. Also you can select specific object and gather statistics if you are facing a problem in a certain DB object. Hope this helps.

Resetting IFS Academy Password

Tried to access the IFS Academy (Customers)  last week and it stated password incorrect.  Clicked on the Forgot Password and entered email address,  I have still not received any update.Is there a contact email address of the IFS Academy? Thank you.

MacOS users cannot report time

MacOS users cannot report time. We have to use a spreadsheet and manually input in IFS.Is there any workaround or solution that time registration for MacOS users so that they can fulfill and we can load in IFS avoiding the input work?

IFS8 Weblogic issue

user notification grace period

Hi community,  in Apps 9 users would get a popup when there user account was almost expired and in grace period. Now, in Apps 10, users do not get any message.  The setup of the profile is the same.Does anyone know how to get the message popup for users when their account is about to expire ?Thanks in advance.

How does "Email Order Confirmation" check box work ?

Hello everyone.Does anyone know how does “Order confirmation” check box work ?and which screen is related ?Is it related with Customer Order screen/Right click/Print Order Confirmation ? I tried uncheck “Order Confirmation” check box, then send email from Print Order Confirmation function. Can event action specific destination email ?

I would like to specific destination email that relate with customer of each customer order.For exampleI created the event action and it’s work already. and would like to specific the receiver.I would like to specific “To” (Email receiver) to below delivery address that is registered email. add multiple attachments at once

Hello community,   We use apps10, UPD6 where we can add an attachment to an employee file with drag and drop, select a document class, create and then press ‘run’. When we drag and drop multiple files, the ‘run’ option does not appear, causing only the person that drops the attachments can view them. Other users dont see the attachments at all.   Is there a way to insert multiple attachments at once and then ‘run’ them all together in one action ? Thanks in advance.

Context Substitution Variables in IFS Aurena

I am trying to use a context substitution variable in an external navigation link, so far the current mode of passing parameters does not seem to work. Is there a way to access this in Aurena or a seperate format for the parameter

Aurena format of custom currency field

We have noticed in Aurena that currency format does not come through in aurena. It shows up as just a raw # with no , deliminators. Is this on the roadmap to address? This is an issue for us as we look at Currency Based data it’s very hard to understand what the values we are entering are.Thanks,Carrie

Upload attachment using oData ifs10upd9

Hi,We’re trying to upload attachments to IFS using oData.‘We’ve tried mimicing the Aurena behavior found when inspecting the page and sniffing the HTTP traffic. Projection: DocumentHome.svcCreateAndConnect work fine but can’t send the file data.The FileData steps just returns an HTTP 500 , internal server error. A second approach we’ve tried is through the CreateAndImportDocument Projection.I’ve tried all kinds of formating for the FileData property but won’t accept any of it. Below is a Base64 encoded binary string. Since documentation is almost non existing I’m a bit stuck. Has anyone managed to use oData for attachment upload and can provide som working examples? Would be much apricated ! thx!

Aurena Clickable Hyperlink Custom Field

I created a Persistent Text custom field with the Clickable Hyperlink attribute checked. I then set the field to be visible on the page in IEE. After putting a URL in the field the text displays blue with a line under it and ctrl + clicking will launch the browser and navigate to the URL. This is the behavior I would like to see in Aurena as well. In Aurena when I add the field to the page the URL displays as text without looking like a link. Is there a way to make it look and act like a clickable hyperlink?

Oracle CSI or media

We run Apps8 on Oracle 11G, purchased the ASFU Oracle Enterprise Edition through IFS and pay our annual support and maintenance via IFS.We are in the process of migrating to a new data centre and want to take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest version of Oracle certified by IFS for Apps 8 which appears to be 12.1.0.2In order to download the media, we need our Oracle CSI number but are having trouble obtaining that from IFS. Alternatively, we need IFS to download the media on our behalf and load in to our FTP site on the Support Centre. This is proving problematical.Anyone got any experience on how to get Oracle media or CSI details ?ThanksDavid
