The only thing I was able to find is: IFS Cloud Technical DocumentationI'm looking for something with more details and some real examples. What helps me is to use Basic Search first, then switch to Advanced Search to see how it is used:However, some documentation would be useful.

When I create a document using the report rule and attach it to the object, I receive a notification. Can this be disabled somewhere?

Hello, Occasionally, we will get errors in our incoming Application Messages for Supplier Invoices. We are utilizing a Pagero integration to retrieve and load Supplier Invoices. A majority of them are successful, but some Fail with error text: Field [FEE_CODE] is mandatory for Ext Inc Inv Tax Items and requires a value. When opening successful messages, the FEE_CODE is in the xml. For failures, it isn’t. Suppliers have resubmitted and indicate they’re using a standard format, but still no FEE_CODE. For Supplier submissions that don’t contain this value, can a customization be done to the transformer (or elsewhere in IFS) to make this not required? Thanks,Jeff NattermannBusiness Systems Analyst

I am trying to create a before workflow that will change or add a value for a custom field on Purchase Order Header entered by the user or left blank at the creation of a purchase order. I got the change part to work but is struggling with he ‘add value’ part.If the custom field is left blank during the creation of the order, no value for the cf is passed to the workflow . Not even information that the value for the cf is null.Does anyone know how to have the workflow to add a variable on the way to the original projection call?I tried to just usign a workflow with script component to add the value and I can see the value in the observation but that isn’t added to the projection call.I would like to avoid just to update the record after creation as the user then has to refresh the record every time a po is created to see the value in the cf.The value for a cf is fetched from another place in the system and is not the same every time so a dafault value for the cf will not work. We are i

Hello, I'm running into an issue on the Audit List page in IFS Cloud. Users are reporting that when they Duplicate a record and populate all Required fields, they will click the save button at the top of the page, and it will cause a separate window to pop up containing all the same data. But the only button that shows is “Cancel New” but no option to save work. We are currently using IFS version 24R2.9. we were able to do this in IFS Aurena version 10.22.31.  Any advice on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I am trying to invoke a REST endpoint using OAuth2 Client credentials in IFS Cloud 22R2. But it ends up with a 401 Unauthorized access error. It works in Postman for the below configuration.Does anyone have an idea of what I am missing? Or anything else that I could check to figure out what is going wrong? Any help is much appreciated.I’ve tried out some of the things mentioned in earlier community posts, but with no luck yet. One thing I could notice was that the “Client Authentication” in Postman config is set as “Send as Basic Auth Header” and when I changed it to “Send client credentials in body” the retrieval of the token didn’t work and I wonder if IFS by default use that Client Authentication type. Thank you

Is there a way to set up screen configurations like column placement and push that out to an individual or group of people?

Hello. We are currently using IFS Applications 10 and need to install Microsoft Visual Studio for development purposes. However, we were informed that the IFS development tools are officially compatible with Visual Studio 2013. On the other hand, Microsoft provides support only for Visual Studio 2015 and later versions.Could you advise which Visual Studio version is recommended for optimal compatibility with the IFS toolset? Additionally, which version has proven to be more stable when used with IFS development components?Thank you.

Hello,I’m trying to duplicate parts to create them into another site (contract) of my company. It’s part of a workflow which automatize unballasting between our main site to sub site.I tried to use CopyPart projection in API calls (type call or create), InventoryPartHandling, but it doesn’t work. The function (invoke) DefaultCopy used from the inventory part webpage to “duplicate” is not available in projection API so I don’t know how to process.Right now, I fetch the entity element I need from API call then I create a new entity element with it.But for inventory part for exemple, I got 90+ fields to fill.I don’t think this is the good solution and a real copy function should exist, but can’t find it, or make it work (Copypart.svc) ?Thank you

We have been experiencing an issue where one of our users is not receiving an email notification when there is a supplier invoice to authorize. This emailing action is tied to Event ID NOTIFY_NEXT_AUTH, our Action #2. Please see screenshots for setup of this event action. As far as the &AUTHORIZER_MAIL_ADDRESS in the To section of the Email Group, I am not sure where that is defined or how to add email addresses to that group On 2/3, this event created four Application Message transaction – three finished and one failed. The error text reads “Mail address 'To' field is not specified”. I believe this failed application message is related to the user who is not receiving the emails. When I check his User profile and Person file, there is a correct email address listed for him. He also has the same setup in the “Invoice Posting Authorizers” screen as other users who do receive the email notifications. Does anyone know where else this user needs to be set up/added in order to start rec

On the Sales Contract, there is a field in the Financial Settings called “Copy Contract Item Tax”. It’s in the database in the ifsapp.SALES_CONTRACT table as “COPY_ITEM_TAX” and it is a “TRUE/FALSE” field (all caps, in the database that way). How can I set it to default to “TRUE”? The other text fields were simple but this isn’t.  Etc., until the default area.  I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Thanks in advance!

I’m trying to import a quick report but get this error, anyone seen this? is it a bug? It’s a environment upgraded from 25r1

Hello everyone,I hope you’re doing well.Does anyone have access to the 25R2 version and has tested a workflow with a commit procedure? Is this restriction still present in 25R2? Thank you in advance.

Hi, we have recently upgraded from 24r1 SU12 to 25r1 SU5 and getting Metadata errors on certain screens. when going into page designer everything works fine. error message doesn’t give us much to debug with. is there anything we’re missing or things to try ?   IFS Web Version: 25.1.6.20251112115051.0Date: 2025-12-16T07:43:35.932Z---------------------------------------------------------------------------ShopOrder/Form (server error)An error occurred while processing metadata.Error details: [{"code":6550,"message":"ORA-06550: line 1, column 55:"}]Request Id: nullUrl: <REDACT>---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Having list in X-led makes the “Table View” disappear as a choice Having them in Y-led makes the “Table View” available Is this good or bad from a usability perspective?

Hi all, I understand that we can use projection actions and event actions to trigger workflows.Clicking a button or performing any human action in the web client triggers a projection workflow (e.g., validation, user interaction, or process enhancement). My question is: what happens if we call the IFS Projection API from our own backend? Will the workflow still be triggered by the projection action, particularly for workflows that require user interaction? In this case, there is no web page involved because it is all backend.Thank you.

I’m working with the Vendor 1099 report (VEND1099_INFO_REP), and I’ve created an excel plugin file to export the results to excel.  Some columns are working and providing data, but there are some columns which are empty.  For example, MISC_1099_INCOME_AMOUNT_PAID has no data, but some other columns do.  When I use the default report designer layout, this works and I see data in all fields.  When I query the _REP view, I also see data in all fields.  I’ve tried both excel and CSV plugins and neither format will export the values in this MISC_1099_INCOME_AMOUNT_PAID field.  This is version 24.2.13.  Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys,We are looking for using put in place a load balancing. I know that IFS Cloud support High Availability, but HA and Load Balancing does not have the same function. So, has IFS cloud support load balancing? Have anyone put this in place, and it works well with IFS?IFS 25.1.7

Hello,We have 600+ users, and we are migrating ifs 8 to cloud 24r1.Our users are making their profile personnalizations on a test environment, and we want to export those to import in the future prod environment. There is no mass export / import functionnality.I built a postman collection to do the mass export. But I don’t understand the http calls process for the import one. Here are the calls for the import :There is no file sent in the body, so I don’t know where i got to send it, how.I saw this post below but I don’t like the plsql solution.I need a full export, we don’t want to have only parts, I saw there is multiple tables for the user profile personnalization.I know using HTTP calls guarantees data integrity this is why I want to go this way.Any one have an idea how to make a full export / import of user profile personnalizations ?thank you for your help

Hi IFS Community,We  have deployed the ifs-monitoring namespace to a remote environment. The namespace was created successfully and all the deployments/stateful sets and other objects are up and running. Afterwards, we used the credentials available in the directory - ifsroot\config\secrets to log into Grafana and Kibana dashboards. While the login attempt to Grafana was successful we are unable to log into Kibana using the credentials available in the directory.  We noticed that inside the elasticsearch pod there is a file named – elasticsearch-reset-password. Is there a method to reset the password? Thanks in advance.
