Can the IFS Update Analyzer Still Be Used After 25R2?

I would like to confirm the following:
Can the Update Analyzer tool continue to be used for environments running IFS Cloud 25R2 and later versions?
In other words, is it safe and supported to use the Update Analyzer after upgrading to 25R2 and beyond?
We would appreciate your clarification on whether the tool remains compatible, supported, and reliable for post‑25R2 update analysis.

If the Update Analyzer can still be used after 25R2, does its analysis provide the same results and coverage as the Impact Analyzer?
Product Version: 25.2.0
Business Impact: Confirmation of whether the analyzer can be used.

Hi @NECMIOH

Update analyzer for Cloud upgrades is not supported after 25R2 release. The only solution is to use the cloud based Impact analyzer tool which is integrated in LC portal.

Now the  dowloading the .UPDA file and the Update Analyzer tool is not supported anymore. Update analyzer can be used only for Apps10 upgrade work and for the old IFS cloud versions (before IFS Cloud 22R2) only.

Impact Analysis option in portal does the analysis and show the analysis result in the portal it self and if needed analysis report can be downloaded in Excel, json or pdf format. JSON file can be utilized as an input for the Developer Studio tool and further analysis can be done such as diff between the files on the current version and the target version. All the required information is documented in technical documentation -

Analysis: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/25r2/060_development/050_development_tools/120_impact_analyzer/?h=impact+an

@hamalk
Thank you for your answer.
Is there a difference between the analysis targets used by the Update Analyzer and
the Impact Analyzer?
I'm wondering if there's a difference in the analysis results.

@NECMIOH

You will get all the required analysis result as you used to obtain from previous Update Analyzer tool.

Interface and the order of the generated result will be different, and also we have eliminated some unnecessary content as well. Bit all the required information will be there. And it’s convenient as you can feed the generated JSOn file into the Developer studio tool and so the required changes as instructed by the tool.
