Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

We’re getting hundreds of these warnings in the PSO Events view log every day. Any idea what config/conflict is causing this? We’re using FSM as the EA to PSO.  

In PSO Events view we’re seeing many warnings for “Failed to add travel for resource xxx activity as started travelling at [date time].”Does anyone know the root cause for that so we can ensure scheduling and updates done correctly?Using FSM as the EA to PSO, and mobile devices to update FSM. 

We have the problem at PSO 6.11.011 (it is fixed in later version), where columns was merged together.Previously we solved it by delete the account and create it again - exactly with same credentials. Has done it for 2-3 dispatchers several times.For one of the users, we used the same solution. But as he was the owner of the Filters, he is no longer able to delete old created filters.Can anybody advise what can be done to solve this problem? Can we delete this filter or change the owner of the filter from database? or from the application itself?Please note that I can not find the table which contains this filter details. Can somebody guide here?

Hi all,IFS Cloud/PSOI was wondering what are the configurations/basic data to Schedule automatically with PSO in IFS CLOUD.Are there any committ rules on IFS CLOUD as well? Currently the flow I am running is as follows:1. Creation of Request creation and subsequent task2. Task allocation thanks to PSO3. Dispatch clicking button "assign" to validate/modify PSO scheduling on DC Console4. Dispatch clicking "Transfer to Mobile" to send it to the resource on the mobile 5. The flow continues in the standard way thanks to the MWO Service. Is there any way to automatically validate the scheduling done by the PSO without the Dispatcher clicking Assign on every task (ex: the night before/after every hour)? I was thinking Commit rules or a Job?From my tests, Assign is important to generate the Work Assigment and to allow the "Complete" status on the MWO to update the status from Work Start to Work Done. Am I doing something wrong? 

Hi All, I’m trying to find where it managed to make the complete button read-only.Anyone knows? By default, it’s read-only when task is not in status ‘In progress’

Hi All,In the mobile fsm app, I have a list with rows with ‘Allow Modify’ set to true, so user can edit the values of that record.I’m now looking for a way in mobile to set a Row on that List to Read-Only based on some conditions. The only (possible) solution so far is to set all the fields within that row (linkend screen), to read-only.However I prefer that they can’t go that linkend screen at all, so ‘disable’ the ‘Allow Modify’ function.Regards,

Due to the nature of our business, we have a dataset that is very low volume. This dataset is for seasonal installations (so the summer months have more volume) and resources in this dataset are only booking appointments for accounts they installed. Because of this, the overall plan quality for this dataset is much lower than our other datasets that book non-seasonal work. When we do request availability for resources in this dataset, we have been noticing that the ABE is not offering all available appointment slots. We see a lot of appointment offers where Available = False and Reason_Code = 470, despite a few resources actually being able to accomplish the work during that time frame requested (Sufficient drive times, skills, time allotments, etc). When we analyze these situations, the ABE is stating that the appointment offer came back as Available = False because it would decrease the overall plan quality.  Since we are booking to a specific resource, we don’t care about the overal

Hi ALl, When we have a Work Task assigned to a FSE, we use the MWO so we can track his travel/waiting and working time. This is being tracked very detailed per minute, per second, but we want to invoice per hour started or even per half day started. (so always round up). How do we do this exactly? Is this based on the Sales UoM of the Non-inventory Sales part? It seems something that we should be able to do quite easily but I never spend much thought on this. Best RegardsRoel

Hello,Does anyone know why FSM skills with the symbol “#” are not integrating over to PSO?When I try to add the skill, they show up in the list but I am unable to save. 

We recently upgraded our PSO instance to the latest version, and now, on screens like the Planning Resources screen, the time zones listed as local times / geographic location ex. America/Los_Angeles) as opposed PST (Pacific Standard Time).How can I change the time zone format back to using PST, MST, CST, EST, etc.…?

Hi,UPS has upgraded its authentication to  OAuth 2.0. and Data structure is in JSON. As of today FSM and UPS are connected through FSM baseline app params and the authentication piece is handled in FSM baseline code which is not OAuth 2.0. Is there a way or are there any future updates to fix this in FSM to avoid integration failure as most of our customer are live with this integration?

Hello everyone!I'm  display data from survey_result table on the request screen in a seperate tab,I'm able to fetch the data from survey_result and display it successfully on the request screen using UI Designer,But the issue is iam getting  all the data from survey_result for that Request ID. where as i want to display only some rows from that survey_result table based on survey_idHow can we add a filter condition on UI Designer by which we can get survey_result data for a specific survey_id on the UI Designer I've tried searching for solutions online, but I haven't been able to find anything that works for my specific scenario.If anyone has experience with filtering data in a mobile survey based on survey ID, I'd be so grateful for any advice or guidance you can provide.Thank you in advance for your help! Hello, Why would a manually scheduled, which has been committed, un-schedule itself from console? Is this expected behaviour? if not, what may cause those issues in our system to behave that way? looking for any insight to this. thanks

hello,In Dispatch Console - If i schedule and fix a manual activity to resource ‘A’, if an emergency presents itself, we may need to un-schedule the work, and re-assign it to resource ‘B’.  In console, it does not appear to break the fix on the activity.  The fix sticks in PSO workbench, appears as allocated even though it has been un-scheduled, and should go back to an un-allocated status.  If we were to un-schedule the fixed actvity from resource B - even though it is a manual activity, it re-schedules back to the original resource (resource ‘A’) because the fix is still tied to the original resource.,.. is this expected behavour?

Hi,FSM Smart Client running on a Citrix platform.Does the client write to any logs around it’s own performance or abrupt closures.I have users stating FSM Client suddenly shuts down without any warning. But it’s only users who run their desktop on our Citrix platform. Anyone running FSM from a standard laptop session is ok.I want to be able to assist our Virtual Desktop Team in root causing this and wondering if there’s anywhere some logs are written to.All our Apps and Servers are on-prem. I do think this could be memory related and FSM becomes a victim and a Memory spike on the server and abruptly ends, but need some information to help support this. Cheers Ady

Hi all,I’m reaching out to look for some guidance and possibly previous experience from people in regards to the usage of Private Activites in PSOCurrently we have some datasets who heavily use Private Activities as it gives planners visibility to what the engineer is doing on their day.What we are finding however is that they seem to be having a heavy impact on the seeing manual changes reflected in the workbench and has impacted performance of the tool Could anyone advise on how best to maximise performance and processing within PSO but still maintaining the ability to use Private Activities?

Does PSO actually consider FSM part need part id and quantity in the scheduling process?I can’t get that to work anymore. You see the van stock in pso under the resoure details, but the resource selection doesn’t consider part need.I recall that you would see a match in parts on the pso compare screen. Please advise.

Hello there.DK Denmark.SK Slovakia.I have come across a challenge that I just can't solve.On the same site, we have a coordinated calendar with public holidays and holidays for PROD DK (PDK_HOL) and one for PROD SK (PSK_HOL).The individual WCs for DK and SK respectively are assigned their respective calendar.SK has decided around the summer holidays to only be closed for one week (29), but when I try to set the Need date on a specific SO to 12.07.2024, it moves the date back to 10.07.2024? 12.07.2024 is closed in DK calendar.All operations on the specific SO are WC in SK, so what it measures, I haven't been able to find out, so can anyone give an explanation?

On FSM 6u16 what is the recommended Visual Studio version for RDLC reports? Reason is, for example, the REQUEST rdlc prints in landscape irrespective of parameter settings. On Visual Studio 2022 which is what we currently use, the XML format seems to be a completely different XML layout
