Data Migration

Hi All,We are using apps 10 and need to Migrate Inventory Parts with revisions set at 2 or higher. When we tested this the migration worked however in each case it created a Revision 1 as well as the revision we wanted. As an example we migrated a Part with revision 5, and it created a revision 1 and a revision 5.Is there a way to overcome this and only have the revisions required. Thanks and Merry Christmas

Hello, We have started to put the data together for our IFS implementation, but i have some questions that i cannot seem to get an answer from our group. As for maintenance, whats the grandparent/parent/child relation ripples for creating the right object type and those relations? which field labels are the broader items and which are the more machine-specific? How does that relation look in a stair-step map? 

Dear All, we want to use the Excel Addin as Transport Tool to Create or Update Customer Order / Sales Quotation Lines. Now when we use the Excel Add In we have to do the following Steps:1.Open Excel 2 .Open Excel Addin and Login 3. Choose the Migration Job 4. A Popup Window if we want to Load in Same Sheet or in a new SheetWith these 4 Steps we have then the data entry Colums and van work with Search, Validation an Execution.We want to get rid of the Steps 3 and 4. Furthermore we want to Save an Excel with the alrady loaded Data Entry Colums and already Choosen Data Migration Job.  Has anybody an idea if it it possible to do so? As an Alternative we would like to Automate the steps.Any Ideas? Thanks Stefan

Hi IFS Data Migration Friends!In APPS 10, using the migration Toolkit, we had an extremely useful feature available to us when migrating large containers called the "Container Processing Rates" form.In that form you were able to see how the processing of that container was doing, how many rows were migrated per minute and how many errors were generated as the deploy unfolds in real time. It looked like this:I miss my Container Processing Rates features :(For large containers, this was an early warning that we may need to wait for 3 or 4 hours to see this container fully migrated. It would let us investigate some errors while we waited for the migration to complete. It even help us to early-detect a few cases where the migration simply "got stuck" and nothing was moving ahead. Fast forward to the Data Migration Manager and now it seems that all that functionality is lost.Is there any place were we can find something similar? Hello Community!Today I’m trying to insert some Units of Measure using Data Migration Manager. When I try to commit my changes, I see the error description “Method MODIFY failed : ORA-20122: IsoUnit.ERRUPDUSED: The field [USED_IN_APPL] is not valid for update for user defined codes.” in those UoM that are user defined.Any ideas how can I approach a solution for this? So far I tried setting the “USED_IN_APP” as “Out of Scope” in the Target Table definition but that doesn’t make any difference.

On our Accounts Payables lobby screen there are 21 invoices showing errors on the final posting proposals page that have been locked in there for years and they will not clear. They are all paid posted, however they all include this error: (Apps 10 EE) We are moving to Cloud in February and have a testing space currently where they also migrated over to this environment. I had read that it could be a bug, but it wasn't the same specific error so i’m not 100% sure. If this is the case and it is a bug, will it resolve itself once we fully transition to Cloud?

Hi everyone,I’m currently facing an issue with Excel migration where empty values from the Excel sheet are overwriting existing data in our IFS application. Specifically, I want to prevent fields from being updated with empty values. For example, if the “DUNS No” field (column F) is empty, I don’t want it to overwrite the existing value in the application.Here’s a simplified example to illustrate the problem:Example Data: ID Name Address City Country DUNS No 1 Company A 123 Street Kraków Poland 123456 2 Company B 456 Avenue Warsaw Poland   3 Company C 789 Boulevard Gdańsk Poland 789012  In this example, for row 2, I want to update the application with the data from columns B-E for the corresponding ID, but leave the “DUNS No” field unchanged if it is empty, regardless of whether data exists in this field in the application or not.Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to handle this in the migration process?Than

Hi everyone,I’m unable to use a migration job to input a non-inventory sales parts with JUST a tax class.  If I try, I get the following error… I can however, create one with JUST a tax code.The odd thing is that if you debug the sales_part_api call when using IFS, both tax class AND tax code are supplied i.e. from the debug attr'TAX_CODE'||chr(31)||''||chr(30)||'TAX_CLASS_ID'||chr(31)||'1'||chr(30)|| Can anyone share any light on why this is?

I am using IFS Apps 9 and would like to know if there is a way to mass import media items (images) in a folder and then associate them with inventory parts.  The images are named by the inventory part number.Could this be a data migration job…?Anyone done this type of import before, or similar?Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Can you help me for Purchase_Part_Supplier Data Migration. We don’t want to write for all rows in excel for column “LINE_NO”. We can arrange it with a select statement but I couldn’t do it. Hi,I have issues with running an Excel Migration job updating valid to date on the current price line on supplier price list (purchase_quantity_price). I get the familiar error “Object does not exist”, but I have all key attributes present and the same job works in another IFSAPP10 database for the same customer. The job is set so that the only attribute to be updated is “VALID TO DATE”. Has anybody had issues with updating purchase_quantity_price?I can say that creating new records works fine. B.RPer

Hello, Trying to implement a user available excel migration file and have to solve two problems to make it useable.  problem 1) Want to make one of the columns a drop down with 5 to 6 options for ease of input and formatting. Other values could be manually input but the drop down would contain the most frequently used values. Would prefer to do this using Client Values and not DB values. In this example it would be the Work Task Template ID  - Description - Rev. Problem 2) This specific migration container is to a custom page and the primary values are Contract and Line No. The issue is that the migration file is asking for line DB value and the user will not have access to that information since its not viewable in the client. There is an API call to the OBJKEY on that table which is the DB value for the Line Number. Trying to determine how to have the file fetch the DB value after the user specifies the client value.  I’ve scoured documentation and watched numerous videos with no luc

The following print-screen show the state of one of my Output Containers, as you can see:It refers to IDENTITY_PAY_INFO It’s key (COMPANY, IDENTITY, PARTY_TYPE_DB) is: TESTCO, ABC0001 and CUSTOMER (respectively) Is in Approved stateIn addition to that, IDENTITY_PAY_INFO is referred by another table PAYMENT_WAY_PER_IDENTITY. On that table, It is expected that the field PARTY_TYPE_DB should exist in IDENTITY_PAY_INFO, as you can see in this Target Table Definition.With this information in mind… then why this row in PAYMENT_WAY_PER_IDENTITY failing if the corresponding record already exist in  IDENTITY_PAY_INFO when I validate basic data?To me the information is already there, so it shouldn’t fail.Also, what does the word “CASCADE” represent in the Reference column in the target table definition (as in this case where the reference is “IdentityPayInfo(company,identity)/CASCADE”)?

Hi,We are in middle of upgrading from IFS 9 to Cloud and uplifting all our Migration Jobs. In Cloud, we noticed that the Excel Migration jobs using standard IFS API Methods create a new projection once we update the job and click ‘Re-generate Excel Migration’ option. Granting the projection to the relevant Permission Set allows user to execute the job successfully in Excel.However, the same doesn't happen when we modify Excel Migration Jobs using Custom API Methods as no new Projection appears after clicking Re-generate Excel Migration.When the user tries to run the migration, the attached error occurs:We confirmed the same error for two other Custom API based Excel Mig Jobs.Product Version: 23.1.11

Hello, I have a VPN to the IFS cloud. Now I have noticed that the Select does not show any data on many VIEWS, although data is available there according to the IFS quick report.CUSTOMER_INFO: works fine PURCHASE_ORDER: no Data In IFS-Quickreport i can select all Purchase Orders ! Is there a reason and solution so that I can see data from all VIEWS that I select via Qracle SQL Developer and not just the column names?I have already written the IFSAPP in front of the VIEW names.Thanks for your helpGreetingsMarkus

Hello community, I am trying to complete an Excel Migration Job, and once I go to validate/execute the job, I keep facing a very strange issue:When we enter our parameter (SITE1) into the contract field, the migration job doesn't recognize the input. That being said, when we enter SITE2 (another parameter of ours) into the contract field, we get an error that we don't have access to the site - that tells me that the migration job is able to read the field but cannot recognize either SITE1 or SITE9 as being valid. SITE1 is used for most of the objects, and this same result column error appears for creating new objects or validating existing ones, even if nothing is changed on them. This proves the tool recognizes the field The Migration Job (ignore the Note text). I also tried changing the flag attributes of Contract to MIU (for mandatory), but still no good.
