Data Migration

We are a company at the start of our IFS implementation journey. Looking for templates for data migration of data across many different modules from our many different legacy systems. I’m aware of the Data Migration Tool to perform the migration, but looking for the templates, along with field help for the users populating the Excel sheet.  Does IFS offer something like this?

Hi All -- hoping for some help with a migration job issue I’ve been struggling with. I need another pair of eyes to see what I’m overlooking.I’ve got a job containing two separate views, plus the custom field view for one. Validating my job results in “Validate OK”, however upon execution I receive “The Sales Part Base Price already exists.”  I’m trying to update the custom field (CF$_ACCEPTABLE_USE_CODE_DB) or any field in the line, and not create a new one. Attaching screenshots of everything I can think of… I’m also a rookie when it comes to data migration.  

Hi When I try to create an Excel Migration job, I got an error as below. What is the base view. Why the SITE_INVENT_INFO is not a base view.Thanks & RegardsPeak 

We are trying to migrate Approved suppliers but the default status after the data migrated is set to not approved , I am trying to change the status to “ Approved “ using the below method name but getting the error saying this list doesn’t exist ,is there a source to show valid “method name” for API’s please to make this sort of changes  

HiWe are using IFS Cloud. Trying to create a flat file from a view using Migration Job CREATE_OUTPUT_FILE in 21R1.  No output is being generated and it is sitting at Error but no error message is displayed. 

I am trying to create a migration job to migrate custom data from our Apps 10 system to our new CLOUD system.  I have set up a number of migration jobs for custom field in Apps 10 and I tried to replicate it in CLOUD, but it did not work. I am trying to find instructions for CLOUD.  Does anyone have instructions for CLOUD.

Hi All,I’m trying to create a data migration job for the Product Structure Header.When the structure type is ‘Manufacturing’ and if the record is already exists, I get an error ‘ORA-20112: ProdStructureHead.FND_RECORD_EXIST: The Prod Structure Head already exists.’ I have enabled modify option but it’s not letting me updating the record.I would really appreciate it if there’s any other ways we can try to make this work, please. Already tried to get the idea from the below post and unfortunately it didn’t work for me.Create Migration Jobs to Update Custom Fields(CF) | IFS Community also tried the bellow API call in objid fieldINTFACE_METHOD_LIST_API.GET_OBJID_FROM_KEY('PROD_STRUCTURE_HEAD', 'CONTRACT;PART_NO;ENG_CHG_LEVEL;BOM_TYPE_DB', CONTRACT||';'||PART_NO||';'||ENG_CHG_LEVEL||';'||BOM_TYPE_DB||';')Thank you in Advance!

I am setting up a data migration project for a client running IFS 2004 migrating into Apps 10 UPD8. In the Apps 10 database I have created local VIEWs in a separate schema named IFS2004 using a database link to their IFS 2004 database. This makes it easy to use the FNDMIG input of using a VIEW/TABLE as the data source. Its fast and easy. Does anyone have any pre-built data migration (FNDMIG) jobs for customers, suppliers, etc. that you can export and share (PL/SQL format preferred please)? Your assistance will keep me from having to re-invent the wheel. Thank you for your help!

I am trying to migrate Migration Job Group but i am getting this error when i import, What am i missing

The field is Estimated Life.Field I want to modifyIn the database the field is called estimated_life_cl and is a VARCHAR2(4000)By using a trace and debugging code, I found that the API used when modifying that field is DEPR_DISTRIBUTION_API.MODIFY__. Is there any “master list” of fields for all pages/modules in IFS Cloud with the field’s purpose?  Or at the very least, the following:Inventory Part/Part Maintenance/Part Record Customer/ Customer Maintenance/ Customer Record Supplier/Vendor Maintenance/ Supplier RecordAs we prepare for our 3rd wave of implementation, our top level decision makers would like this information in order to make sure the proper people are assigned responsibility for these items, and I’m just curious if anything already exists to help this.

Hi Community,Is it possible to delete/remove records using an excel migration job? I’m trying to delete/remove users for WaDaCo processes but unfortunately i cannot solve it.. I have added ‘DATA_CAPT_CONF_VALID_USER_API.Remove__’ in the Method List. An example could be to delete/remove all users for our scanner ID6: The migration job has the current setup:   I’ve also tried different setups. Example in the method lists to use ‘%’ in Column value and DUMMY in Column Name.  

Hi, I would like to update the list price in the view SALES_PART with the data migration. When i try, i have the same message on everyline when i launch the MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA: ORA-20122: SalesPart.UPDATE: Field [CATALOG_TYPE] in Sales Part may not be modified. The value of [CATALOG_TYPE] is ‘NON’. Is it possible to proceed so ? Thank’s Julien.    

Hello Data Migration Wizards,I am trying to migrate several “child” serial objects. The ‘parent’ objects already exist. I am using FNDMIG migration jobs for this. This allows me to create the serial objects. However, the field “Belongs_To_Object aka (SUP_MCH_CODE)” always remains empty. As a result, I cannot create a parent-child relationship. If I enter the “Parent Object” manually, it works!  I understand that the field is only insertable, meaning it can't be updated. However, I can't insert new data or update it. I don't get an error message either. The field is simply left blank.I've tried various things, including entering the equipment sequence. Nothing has worked. So, how should I populate the field using a migration job? ​@Marcel.Ausan Thanks in advance.

I’m trying to test AccountSet (GET) API IFS Cloud Demo environment as follows. Im able to retrieve the bearer token using following IAM client but once I pass the bearer token to the API it gives me following error. Hello everyone, I want to update the supplier association number using a data migration job.I have identified the relevant package to use: Supplier_Info_General_API.Modify__.When I call this package through a PL/SQL script, it works as expected and successfully updates the value.the package is called by the crud_update method :supplier_handling_svc.crud_update(                '*',                v_supplier_id,                'ASSOCIATION_NO' || chr(31) || v_association_no || chr(30),                'DO',                supplier_info_general## => ''            );However, when I run the same operation through the data migration job, no changes occur. Any idea why please?The select statement generated by the datamigration job do return the correct value : Datamigration Job Details : The ATTR_ value used is :  'ASSOCIATION_NO'|| chr(31)|| IC_I_SUPP_ASSOC_UPDATE_TAB.association_no|| chr(30)

Hello all, We are in the process of designing a simple interface via file. IFS should output a status (stock per type) to a file and save it to a specified location. Now this could be done relatively easy via a migration job. Does anyone already have experience with this or such a regular export via the migration job in use? The official suggestion for the interface is via the APIs. But this seems to be quite complex. Thank you already for your feedback. 

HI All,I got the below situation recently for a customer environment in IFS Cloud 23R1. I  had only CUSTOMER_INFO and CUSTOMER_INFO_ADDRESS target tables were marked as ‘In Scope’. When clicked on Expand Scope by Target Table's References One Level, it was taking long time and hung up.Have anyone of you experienced this ?Do you know any particular reason for this and how to overcome this issue?  Thanks in advance!  

Hello, We have started to put the data together for our IFS implementation, but i have some questions that i cannot seem to get an answer from our group. As for maintenance, whats the grandparent/parent/child relation ripples for creating the right object type and those relations? which field labels are the broader items and which are the more machine-specific? How does that relation look in a stair-step map?

We are upgrading IFS 8 to IFS 10 in a Portuguese customer.Since portuguese localization requires that voucher entries for the current year must be in one software to extract legal reports we need to export data from 8 to 10. Can anyone help us with some documentation or samples?Regards 

Hi,I will transfer data with the Excel program, but I get the error in the picture.1.I convert the Excel file to csv file.2. Start Job - Load File / I select and load the file and I get the error in the picture. 

We were in progress of debugging why a certain data migration job was not importing data correctly and we got a couple of issues/bugs while debugging.  Attribute string fieldWe wanted to use the attribute string to verify if the data was read correctly BUT it looks like the attribute string is cuttoff at a certain size? (1922 chars?)This is quite tricky as we could not debug if the data went in or not? View Temporary table created by job?When creating a job with CREATE_TABLE_FROM_FILE it seems its impossible to view the table created by this job? For example with Quick reports?
