Data Migration

We are a company at the start of our IFS implementation journey. Looking for templates for data migration of data across many different modules from our many different legacy systems. I’m aware of the Data Migration Tool to perform the migration, but looking for the templates, along with field help for the users populating the Excel sheet.  Does IFS offer something like this?

Trying to create a flat file from a view using Migration Job CREATE_OUTPUT_FILE in 21R1.  No output is being generated and it is sitting at Error but no error message is displayed. 

Hi, Has anyone managed to get an IFS Migration Job (we are Apps 9 but interested in other versions) to export a file directly to a machine other than the DB Machine?Thanks, Matt

Hi. I get an error when attempting to validate a row in a newly created migration job:The logged in user has permissions to the migration job and the data is OK, I’ve created a few other similar jobs today and all have worked fine.ThanksAO0001

We have some information stored in technical attributes for equipment object that would like to migrate to Service Notes, but that was not as easy as I though since Notes are a CLOB field.We are currently on 24R1 SU4 and I found this workaroundExcel Migration - Technical Documentation For IFS CloudBuisness_Lead_API have a procedure Write_Note_Excel__, but Request_Contact_Note_Api does not have a similar procedure in our version. Could some see if the Api been improved with such a procedure in 24R2 or 25R1?      

How do I go about finding a report that lists the last time a part number was sold. Keep in mind there will be a lot of them. This would be for IFS 10 App

We are upgrading IFS 8 to IFS 10 in a Portuguese customer.Since portuguese localization requires that voucher entries for the current year must be in one software to extract legal reports we need to export data from 8 to 10. Can anyone help us with some documentation or samples?Regards

Hi, As we tested, for Data Migration Tool - Repliation procedure21R1 - exist21R2 - NOTexist22R1 - NOT exist22R2 - exist (again) To be honest , we pretty confused with this Roadmap,so, can we use this feature in 22R2 , what if we Release Update to 23R1 , will it still be there?

Hi, I have a migration job created to insert Material Requisition Lines, but I got below error. wondering how to fix it?ERRORBelow is my File Mappingincluded “P” and “K” fields Execution 

Maybe a stupid question, but what do I need to do in order to get back the task pane from the Migration Jobs when they are gone in Excel? When I close this screen, I need to disconnect and connect to get this back, I can't imagine this is the prescribed way to do this. 

HI All,I got the below situation recently for a customer environment in IFS Cloud 23R1. I  had only CUSTOMER_INFO and CUSTOMER_INFO_ADDRESS target tables were marked as ‘In Scope’. When clicked on Expand Scope by Target Table's References One Level, it was taking long time and hung up.Have anyone of you experienced this ?Do you know any particular reason for this and how to overcome this issue?  Thanks in advance!  

Hi,for external (QlickView) security reasons we need the following format in the DIM_Employee/DIM_Person in the datawarehouse.FirstCharacterSurName+LastName. Like MKAISER (michael.kaiser@company.de)While I’m in the IFS maskSolution Manager > Security > Users > Create UserI will see IDENTITY and Database ID: with the formatting above.The System Info stays empty and the debug console don’t show anything.So any hints, in which View/Table I can find an PERSON_ID and DATABASE_ID in one row? Thanks a lot!All the best. Michael 

Hello, I need to run a data load for the General Ledger . and i get the error below : The AD user Mapping already addedd :  and i executed  the environment Set up after addinf the AD user Mapping .But i still get the same Error .Need Help Please :) 

After the initial installation it appears that there are migration jobs (at least the interface headers) available. I'm not able to delete them as there is no detail available so they only confuse the customer.List is shown as follows:I gave myself update access to the job.When searching via the page Migration Job (so not Jobs), I don't see it. If I try to add it, IFS returns the error message that the interface already exists.Any idea how to get rid of these jobs?

Hello,My question concerns the finance migration to the IFS cloud version.I have a question regarding this process.We have the client's opening balance as of 31.12, and we are planning to migrate elements such as invoices, customers, suppliers, taxes, using external vouchers.However, I am wondering about the general ledger—how can we migrate the remaining elements from the general ledger? Should I request a full general ledger and import it as an external voucher to reach the balance as of 30.09?Thank you for your help. Best regards,

Hello, We’re getting errors when trying to migrate the Procurement Clause Connection Rules in 22R2, using FNDMIG. We’re getting errors not wanting a value for Connection ID, but when left null, we’re getting an ORA:00936 missing expression error. Data inputs without error manually. Has anyone  come across or found a fix/work-around for this?  Any help is very much appreciated! 

We need to define Data Archive Object for GL tables (MPCCOM_ACCOUNTING_TAB and GEN_LED_VOUCHER_ROW_TAB) and other related tables. Please help to find a related tables for this task.For example, I’m expecting something like this. 

I created migration job named “PURCH_REQ_MIGRATE_MNTJ”. But the user can not see this. How can I activate the migration job to the user.  Or should I confirm the permission set?  

HiNeed to understand in FSM whether or not possible to migrate the Historical data. I mean to say that Previous year all requests which are even closed /completed  along with its transactions from’ Request to Invoice’  can this be done.  As the customer wants to decommission the old systems and data to be ported back on to IFS FSM.Any inputs to this will be of great help.Thanks in advanceSatwik G S
