The DMM documentation says that the installation environment should be PROD, and the reason is that DB links cannot be created to PROD.

・Why can't I create a DBLINK to PROD environment?

・Is there a problem with the method of preparing DMM in the TEST environment and then transferring data from the TEST environment to the PROD environment when migrating data?

The Database Links will be created to environments sitting under PROD. There will be no Database Links created to PROD, and that is why it normally should sit in the Installed Environment.
