Dear All, 

we want to use the Excel Addin as Transport Tool to Create or Update Customer Order / Sales Quotation Lines. Now when we use the Excel Add In we have to do the following Steps:

  • 1.Open Excel
  • 2 .Open Excel Addin and Login
  • 3. Choose the Migration Job
  • 4. A Popup Window if we want to Load in Same Sheet or in a new Sheet

With these 4 Steps we have then the data entry Colums and van work with Search, Validation an Execution.

We want to get rid of the Steps 3 and 4. Furthermore we want to Save an Excel with the alrady loaded Data Entry Colums and already Choosen Data Migration Job. 

 

Has anybody an idea if it it possible to do so? As an Alternative we would like to Automate the steps.

Any Ideas?

 HI ​@JAKSTEFRE , i dont think that is automation is possible at this point, but you can always use source migration method for such automation. Create a migration job and use a sever folder to pass your file each time you want to execute the file. then you can schedule the migration job to  run  as needed. for the MIG job you can use a migration rule to start the _MIG  job as soon as the _IMP job is done. 

 

 

If you use DMM with IFS cloud 24R1 and beyond, you can you DMM to do the same as above.

Thanks for your Reply Niyomal, very much appreciated. We know how to migrate Data and to load excels. But what we are seraching is that the user can do it with a template by himself. So no adminsitrator needed. Now the Excel addin needs to be loaded everytime. More or less we want to automate that after data entry only the execute Button needs to be pressed. Thanks Stefan

​@JAKSTEFRE  in that case, probably you will be able to use Microsoft Power Automation tool to automate the Excel process.
