I have scenario were the I want to generate sequence number based transaction i.e when when adding the line to PR sequence number to be generated automatically and for other PR sequence should again start from 1 again

HelloDoes anyone track their Global Location Number in IFS?    I can’t seem to find a place /field for tracking this so just wondering if others are requiring this as well and perhaps I’m just missing it?     Are old ERP system had a form dedicated to its input so find it strange I can’t locate a field for this in IFS under Company or Site . Thank you

Hi, I tried to update our Purchase Order lay-out with Report Designer, but the results are disappointing.I want to show the edited description of the charge on the PO lay-out.These are the charges I want to show: Two charges of the same Charge TypeI have put the fields on the lay-out in Report DesignerThis is the result‘Transport To Location’ is not on the correct line.How can I resolve this issue?

Hi,On MS Level 1 part, we have recently amended our Forecast Consumption rules to roll out from drop, with a forecast window of 7.The first two lines dated 28/10/2020 and 29/10/2020 are actual orders that have been picked, but not yet shipped off our system. We then show a quantity of 1on the 03/11/2020 in the Forecast 1 column and the consumed forecast column. This forecast was not showing on schedule, so I assume IFS has added the forecast into the Forecast 1 column? Is there a reason for this? Also, it is showing as consumed and I am unsure why when the actual demand’s are in multiples of 4?We then show a quantity of 3 in the Forecast 0 column. However, this was a 4 on schedule. Is there a reason why this will have pulled through to MS Level 1 as 3? This is also showing in the consumed forecast column, again unsure why when the actual demand’s are in multiples of 4?

There is a requirement to disable the future dates in a calendar on a date data field. I didn’t find any method regarding this in the internal documentation.Is it possible to achieve this using IFS control?Could anyone please assist me on this.

I’m trying to put in a shop order for 100 units of a final assembly which uses 1 each of a component we receive from another location within our own company. Because the component is used in multiple assemblies, and 20 were already on order for a different final assembly part number, the shop order is only driving a distribution order for 80. Those 20 were already allocated to another project, but that association is only through a note, and there is no way to assign parts acquired through a DO to a project until they are received at our site. We need 120 components total for 2 different final assemblies but IFS sees the 20 already on order as available units and is therefore not demanding the correct quantity. Is there a way to change the quantity of a Distribution Order to correct this shortfall?

We have different manufacturing companies in IFS that are individual legal entities. We also have sites that fulfill customer orders from other manufacturing companies but do not manufacture themselves (distribution site). How can we keep fulfilling orders from the distribution site yet realize the gains in the manufacturing site P&L? Is this setup possible in IFS? If yes, how should we setup our companies and sites?

Hi,I have a question about the field Buyer (buyer code) on the Purchase Requisition Lines. When I release a Customer Order, it automatically creates Purchase Requisition Lines for the Sales Parts that needs to be purchased. Sometimes the Buyer Code on the Purchase Requisition Line is the Buyer Code connected to the User that releases the Customer Order. But sometimes the Buyer Code on the Purchase Requisition Line is het default in the system: IFS APP. This even differs on lines generated from the same Customer Order (see the screenshot below).I cannot track down why the Buyer Code sometimes is the default and sometimes the Buyer Code connected to the user. Does someone know how this works? The ideal scenario is that IFS always fetches the Buyer Code from the User releasing the Customer Order.Besides, it works the same when creating Purchase Requisitions from a project miscellanous demand or from a Shop Order.See the screenshot below as illustration. Hi, we have a combination of component subcontracting (supplier material method) and customer order direct. A finished good X is setup as part type purchased with a BOM containing semifinished good Y. Semi-finished good Y is manufactured internally and sent it to our subcontractor on occation, who has it on stock (remote warehouse - picking location). When we receive a customer order,  we send a pegged PO to the subcontractor, who produces the finished good X and sends it directly to the customer (sales part has sourcing option “Primary Supplier Direct”). However, when making “register direct delivery” on the PO, the system only delivers the finished good X. It does not backflush the semifinished good Y at the remote warehouse (eventhough backflush is set up at the product structure). Any input to why or what could be missing? The backflush works fine as long as the sales part is not setup to sourcing option “Primary Supplier Direct”. Is the “register direct delivery” not connected

Hello, Is it possible to have a template PO with lines that can be used to create PO’s? We are wanting to do this for the ordering of stationary, cleaning products etc. The template can then be brought up, easily change the qty required and send to the supplier.Thanks Sarah

Has anyone been able to limit the document classes available by user based on the group they are in and attached to a document class.  For example, if a user only has access to 2 document classes than they only see 2 available to select from.

We are in the process of implementing consignment stock internally across companies in IFS9. We have come across one or two features in IFS which makes me question whether the system was designed to handle this scenario. Is anyone working in this way in their environment and willing to share experiences?The setup is as follows.Demand Site - Site A/Company 1. Supplier for Purchase Part set to Ownership Consignment, purchasing from Site B Supply Site - Site B/Company 2 -  Customer Consignment Stock for customer (Site A)When we create and release a distribution order, the Ownership setting on the Supplier for Purchase Part is ignored, and the ownership is set to Company Owned. We can however update this manually.The Customer Order linked to the distribution order is created with the Consignment flag checked automatically.If we set the Distribution Order to Automatic Receipt, it does not perform the

At the site level, there are many “shortages” for parts.  But when I query for all parts in this module I receive only 4.  I do notice that in Inventory Part Availability Planning these 4 parts have the “Shortage” column.   The system parameter Shortage Handling is set to Yes. The Shortage Notification check box must be selected, has been selected for all active Inventory Parts in the “Misc Part Info”.     Is there a “Job” that needs to run that moves the information to the Shortage column, so it can be viewed in the “Inventory Parts with Shortages”

Is there a way in Apps8 to create one customer order from different sales quotations  ?

If purchase requisition of one item abut 50 quantities.After the authorization, I create a request for order quotation. In which I want to split 50 quantities in to two parts.If I change the quantity in the request for order quotation window and isert 25 quantity and remaining25 quantity in other new line inserted by me in order equation window. then It will ok.but in back end new line create by me in order quotation window have no purchase requisition number.Please guide me perfect way of order spliting.

Example Purchase requisition of of Purchase Part A Part:A , Quantity: 50After release and authorization, we create request for order quotation.Then there how we create order splitting.Note: If we create duplicate line in “Request for order quotation window” then in backend there in no requisition number place in newly created line.

Hello,I wish to create a supplier agreement with prices for rental instead of purchase but when I try to do so and create a new purchase requisition, it doesn’t refer to the agreement.More so there is no “Contract number” field on the rental lines whereas there is one on purchase lines (in the purchase order).How do you do it ?Thank you !
