Buying (Procurement, Demand Planner, ASC, SRM)

We’ve begun managing everything through work orders, which is an approach we did not use in the past.  An issue that keeps arising revolves around the pegging of inventory parts to specific work orders. Once a PO is created, IFS will not allow me to cancel a purchase order line if that line is pegged.  I’ve looked around the internet for advice but, cannot find the functions in my own IFS system that have solved this problem for others. I cannot find any screen to manually remove or alter pegging.Is there an actual screen in IFS that allows altering or removing the pegging?  Or is it maybe called something different that I’m unaware of?

If you were to set up any item with a safety stock it appears that once any demand is entered that would drop your on hand below the safety stock, MRP attempts to immediately replenish based on the manufacturing or purchase lead time regardless of whether or not the demand is a date further beyond either of those dates. Is there a setting available that would only create the supply to replenish safety stock on or after the date of your projected on hand dipping below your prescribed safety stock?

Hi, I am trying to create a before custom event (apps9) to check the expiry date entered by the user before the receive order dialog can finish. Does anyone know what view I need to set the custom event on for this to work?

Hi IFS community, This is my first post on this community forum. I am sorry if I am posting on the wrong forum.We have some supplier invoices which are stuck in posted status in supplier invoices analyis. We paid the supplier the invoices.The next day after the transaction has been completed, we download the bank statement from our bank account (it is not connected to IFS Application), from there we write all necessary informations into mixed payments but it doesn´t allow us to pair it with the invoice which has been paid, they have Posted status in supplier invoice analysis. This way it won´t change its status to PaidPosted and it will show up as unpaid supplier invoice.Interestingly enough other invoices have PrelPosted which is great, that way we can pair them in mixed payment analysis and their status will turn to PaidPosted. Thank you in advance.

We are moving from PR Authorisation to PO Authorisation and I have created the Rules but they are not automatically applying. If I RMB → Fetch Auth Rule then it applies and flags to PO as requiring approval but how do I get the POs to automatically apply the rules?Thanks

Hi Community, We have a scenario like below and appreciate your ideas on how to map this to the IFS Application (10 or Cloud)  What we have tried so far:A Customer Order at A with the Supply Code “Purch Order Dir” :  This will deliver the goods to B (mapped as an internal customer ) but it will be completely consumed. Not stored at a location in B Destination Warehouse function in a PO at A : limitation here is we can select only the locations in A not B Create a PO header for A but the line to a Site in B :  This way the goods can be received to B but all the costs and transactions will be for B, not A. Hence no Inventory Cost or Invoices to A Create a PO for B with part Ownership to Customer (map the A as an internal customer) : Here the problem is Inventory Cost is

I have a customer that wants to attach any documents that are on the Posting Proposal Screen to the PO Screen if there is a PO Reference on the Posting Proposal screen. The issue I am running into is there is no match for some one the transformation methods between the two objects.  It appears I can use either the PostingProposal LU or the ManSuppInvoice for the source LU but the target LU, PurchaseOrder is missing matches for INVOICE_ID, PROPOSAL_ID and ROW_ID.  I did see one article that added a custom field to match the transformation and I tried to add Invocie_ID to the target LU but I could not get it to show in the transformation method.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI!We use funtion Email Order… for PO. IFS will send mail to supplier automatically. Then supplier guy will reply our buyer to confirm the PO. But last week, we move our mail system from Domino to MS O365. Then this function doesn’t send mail anymore. The action setting as follow. Other mail type event if From User is not &REPLY_TO_USER. For example followed one works right. Is anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

What are the proper steps to set-up Stage billing on a CO Can you add a template at the header and update the existing CO lines automatically? These are the few question I have ; if someone can help. Thanks Team 

Stage Billing Profile does not show on Customer Order lines when the customer order header and lines are created first and then the user creates the stage billing template. But Stage Billing Profile does show on CO lines when the CO header -> stage billing template - > and then the Customer Order Lines are created Please explain this behavior

Where do I update the supplier info to show that they are a diverse supplier?  i don’t see it in the Supplier Record.

Shipment Order is created to transfer serialized Parts from one site to another. Shipment order was released and Shipment created. Shipment was executed and Closed.While receiving at the other site, I want the same serial No’s. Is that Possible in this functionality?BR/Venkat

Dear IFS Team, I have an RFQ line which has been approved and now I have to add this RFQ line to an existing Purchase order (Planned and not authorized yet). I am not able to do so.RFQ had 5 lines of which 4 were approved and converted to PO. Later last line approved for same supplier and when trying to add this approve RFQ line to PO which is created for 4 lines then system is showing an error that “Update not allowed after Request for Quotation is Created” Can someone please suggest way forward

Hi For some reason it is blocked to give the Supplier Blanket Agreement number to a Purchase Order line directly. You are supposed to use Create agreement Release: is there any reason for that and could that be allowed by configuration? Now you can only order one part at one PO from these agreements.

Hi All,  We are looking to create a report that shows what Purchase Orders were created manually and which purchase orders were created using Automatic Order Processing. I’ve been doing some digging in IFS for any fields that would show me something different for the Auto order processing and I can’t find anything. Has anyone written a report to show when Auto PO’s are created? 

When setting up the Demand Planner, the server is in the Empty state. Does anyone have an idea to solve this problem?  

I have a notification set up to notify next authorizer on Purchase Orders.Does that notify also for change orders?  We are using the full approval for change orders but I am being told they are not getting notified when a change order is out for approval.
