Hi Experts,I created a Task template with Calendar Plan information also added Condition generation details as well.  Next when I linked this to a PM action in Jobs and Template tab, I could not see updated Maintenance Trigger information. What I am missing here?Intead if I created a PM directly from the Task Templates it works?  Thanks,KM

One of my customers is currently on IFS Cloud version 23R2, and their technicians are using the MWO – Maintenance app for executing work tasks. The technicians are performing the expected sequence of actions in the app: Accepting the work task Starting the task Marking steps as done Reporting time Completing and returning the task to IFS Cloud However, the transactions generated by the technicians are appearing in the "Failed Transactions" page in IFS Cloud as shown in the screen shot.To investigate, I performed the same steps using my own account in a test environment. My transactions processed successfully and did not appear in the Failed Transactions page.Could you please advise on potential reasons why the technicians' transactions are failing while mine are not?Thank You

Hi Team, I am trying to import the connected object in IFS Cloud using EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_CONN view but I am not able to see the field (MCH_CODE_CONSIST) in Migration Mapping. Any Idea about this issue ? or is there any other way/recommended approach to do such kind of Parent Child relation migration in IFS cloud.  THanksLokesh

Hi All, I’m looking for more information with regards to the use of Object Type and Type Designations on the Serial Object. What are they used for and how exactly do they influence each other and what are some use cases for them. Situation: I entered a Type designation 0001 that I connected to Object type 600. Both of them were linked to Technical class 005. Question 1: So when you go to the Serial Object, you can select a ‘Type Designation’ and the ‘Object Type’ will be completed with the object linked to the Type Designation - so far so good.But when both fields are empty and you select an Object Type, the Type Designation does not get auto-filled. Is there any reason for this? Why does Type designation autocomplete the Object Type but not vice-versa?  Question 2: it seems to be possible to add different technical classes to the Type Designation and the Object Type, while they are interconnected themselves (changed Technical Class for Type Designation to TC2 instead of TC5) . Implementation Overview – Statutory Holidays & PM Action AdjustmentWe have successfully integrated statutory holiday dates into the weekday calendar. Consequently, the PM action now accurately recognizes the following holidays: Friday, August 1, 2025 Monday, August 4, 2025 Tuesday, August 5, 2025 As a result, the system automatically adjusted the task due dates to account for these holidays. Although the original due date was set for August 5, 2025, the system deferred it to Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in alignment with the configured business rules.However, we have observed an unexpected behavior: the system is skipping July 30 (Wednesday) and July 31 (Thursday), which causes the next available due date to fall on Friday, August 8, 2025, rather than the expected Tuesday, August 12. Hello,In IFS Cloud 23R2, we have a scenario to create condition-based PM action to generate Work Orders for objects based on run hours. We are using Accumulated parameter for this scenario. When we update either the ‘New Reading Value’ or the ‘New Delta Value’, the last recorded value is not updated automatically. When we regenerate the plan, it sometimes gets updated and sometimes it does not update. The ‘Plan out of sync’ is set to True in this scenario and doesn’t allow to generate the work order. Do we need to Regenerate the Plan every time a measurement is entered for an object? Is there a reason, even after regenerating the last measurement value is not being updated? Any inputs would be appreciated.Thank you! 

I have a customer case looking in IFS Cloud to find a functionality/solution to replace Support Issue that exists in App 10. As far as I understand, Support Issue has been replaced by Call Center - however the quick and easy workflow has somewhat disappeared.Even if Call Center has some good processes, its too complex and admin heavy when just wanting to create a quick issue that requires a swift and easy solution and just keeping a log of what has been done.I have looked at perhaps using Change Request - but then the application moves into Engineering which is not really the correct scope.So, my question is:Will Support Issue be re-implemented in Cloud? If not, what options are there to be close to the Support Issue functionality but instead in Cloud?Kindest regards,Johanna

Hi,  I understand the steps involved for connecting a part serial to a rental asset, but what isnt clear is what this actually achieves (other than visibility)  What are the drawbacks if this connection isnt made? Is it mandatory that this is done for Rental assets, if so, why? hoping somebody can shed some light here :) ThanksJames

Hi All,Are you familiar with a solution that can permanently remove all detached document revisions from the system (Customer is using Applications 10)?Additionally, the deletion process needs to identify and remove documents based on their attached date — specifically, those attached more than five days ago (Attached_Date < SYSDATE - 5). I'm also exploring whether it's possible to separate attachments (e.g., PDF, JPEG files) from BLOB entries in the IFSAPP_LOB table, assuming this is where the documents are stored.Any suggestions on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.Kind regards,Santhushi D.

Please guide me on the steps and requirements to set up IFS Apps10 to auto-generate Work Orders / Tasks for Preventative Maintenance on Functional Objects.We want to auto-generate Work Orders for Slot Machines (Functional Object) in bulk based on PM Actions like eg. Weekly Inspections on a bank of slot machines. Online documentation does not help in terms of the basic data and config and steps required to set this up.

Hi,IFS Cloud 24R2. We have main warehouse and secondary (department) ware house. In maintenance secondary warehouse is alway used to issue materials. But reservation happens on main warehouse instead of secondary warehouse. Is there a way to set up reservation default warehouse for maintenance?Availability control doesn’t help.Thanks in advance.

I everyone, i have an issue when I want to create a new service line : When I try to add a scope line, no objects are displayed in the LOV. If I cancel the line and try to recreate it, the LOV appears well.Do you know where it comes from and if there is a solution ? Thanks

We have tested creating 1 Invoice for multiple Work Tasks (Reported) and it works.If we create 2x Service Quotation->Work Order->Work Task, set it to Reported and try and create Generate Invoice Preview, we get an error “No Invoice Preview(s) created for given criteria.” Although when creating separate Invoice Preview from Conclude Work Order for these 2 Work tasks, the individual invoice Previews are created.Is it that Generate Invoice Preview does not work for Works that come from Service Quote? Or is it that there might be a setting missing to allow this?This would be a critical win for one of our customers if it would work.Any suggestions are welcome and much appreciated.Thanks,Rita

Hi,From viewing past community posts on accumulated Condition-based PM generation, the calculation to predict next maintenance is the last 5 valid measurements. Is there a way to increase the number of measurements it considers for the calculation? Thanks    

New employee does not have access to workorders in time registration , and I can not find where to add the employee into maintenance. Can anyone tell me where the employee/employee number should be added , I guess in basic data somewhere. The employee is already added to a resource group which is “ticked on” for using in Maintenance, is added to site, company, etc… In timeregistration, only Project is available, and not workorders…. We are running IFS Cloud 23R2

Hi, We have a requirement adding more object status for functional objects. In IFS APP 10 we have three fixed status set by IFS like “In Operation”, “Out of Operation” and “Scrapped”. IFS doesn’t have the option to add more status using administrative / regular users as like changing basic data. Please note that, now we are in process to move in IFS Cloud by next year from IFS APP10. I can understand, it’s a bit of customization required. My question is, if I requested to IFS for such change, does IFS require IFS core code modification ?  Thank you

How does the “Technical Lifetime” is defined and used when we define Functional object for Maintenance actions? In what processes it is used and how? 

Hi Experts,We have a requirement to identify whether technician-reported times are overlapping. For example, a technician might submit one time entry from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and another from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM. As you can see, there is a 15-minute overlap between the two entries. We need a way to either prevent such overlaps or at least identify and flag them for review.Currently, the application does not restrict technicians from entering overlapping time reports.We would like to know: Can the standard application be configured to validate and prevent overlapping time entries? Is there any existing validation mechanism for this? Specifically, can the “Is Clocking Validated” field in time clocking be used for this purpose? If so, how does it function and how can we leverage it? Any guidance on how to implement or configure such validation would be appreciated   Thanks.KM

Hi team,I have equipment whose status is out of operation. However, work orders are still generated using PM action.I would like to know how to stop generating WOs for PM Action when the equipment object status is Out-Of-Operation. Is this functionality possible in a standard system?
