Upgrades & Updates

This is regarding Oracle Security Patches that need to be avoided when handling the apply of UPD. These bugs:Bug 159707 Bug 159363Both these bugs contain mws.zip file, so even though it’s fetched from the quick reports of mandatory and deployment bugs. Make sure these bugs are removed before merging mandatory patches and starting the build. Hopefully these bugs will be included in Oracle CPU excel sheet so it would be easier to avoid it.

We went live last July/August and are currently on Apps 10 UPD 8 which is on Oracle 12c.The intention is to upgrade from Oracle 12c to Oracle 19c.It may be a daft question but how do we get hold of Oracle 19c.  Is this something IFS provides?Thanking you in advance for looking and your advice.

Hi,Following error appears in the “_ERROR_install.log” after installing UPD11 in customer’s DEV environment. However this doesn’t create any database invalid objects. Hello ALL  We are working on a migration ERP TO IFS , and we have to migrate our tables to IFS  . For example for suppliers , we shoud migrate all the informations we have in the actual ERP into all the tabs on IFS and the under tabs. But i don’t know the order of logical units to follow to migrate infomations for suppliers ? please someone  knows how we can get the order of migration of the logical units ? :  The first one we shouls start with , the second , third . . . , because informations are linked.  Thank you so much.

Hi, I want to get an opinion on a topic.  The url below is working correctly. page/Employees/MultiCompanyList?$filter=OrgCode eq $[ORG_CODE]  But I want to do this, I want to send some of the parameter and reach the desired data. For example, I want to send the first 4 numbers. During the installation of UPD8, we are encountering many errors of a similar nature: !!!Error occurred while executing Plsql Block at 23-MAY-21 00:53:45BEGIN Installation_SYS.Set_Projection_Snapshot_;END;ORA-06550: line 2, column 19:PLS-00302: component 'SET_PROJECTION_SNAPSHOT_' must be declaredORA-06550: line 2, column 2:PL/SQL: Statement ignored The installer ran like this producing many error in the “logging window”, then eventually hung after about 14 hours. This did not occur during the 4 attempts of UPD8 in our test environments.

Hello!I’ve installed the global extension to our Apps 10 Test Environment, but do not see the Localization Control Center tab on the company screen, or the Localization Control Center Country Specifics screen in the System Setup Folder.Is there another step I am missing?Thanks for your help!

Hi,I need your support on the subject.How can I go to the desired data in the Aurena (upd10) Lobby? For example, when I click on the A005 chart, I just want to see the relevant data. unfortunately, when I click on the data, I see all the data. How should I use parameters from Aurena?   

These processes seem to be holding up the installation of UPD8 in apps 10 . . . The following F1 jobs are currently running===========================================F1JOB_3                  Transaction_SYS.Process_All_Pending__(0,'Default Queue','%',job_id_)   Running job: Dictionary_Sys.Post_Rebuild_Dictionary__F1JOB_2190               Mobile_Db_Process_SYS.Push_Data_('MaintEngApp') Use Install_Tem_SYS.Stop_Scheduler_Processes to stop all currently running F1 jobs if you do not want to wait until they finish.

I am applying the UPD8 to my PROD environment and the installer has been stuck on IalObjectSlave.apy for over an hour! Is this normal? I do not remember this taking this long in our test installs?

I recently tried to install a Touch Apps server in my Apps 10 (UPD6) test environment, and continually received an authentication error even though we have confirm IFSMOBILITY user is active and password is correct. Once I cancelled the installation and tried to re-run, I not get the following immediately upon “Run as Administrator” on RAS installer:   

We have started an analysis and mapping process for the functions and features of IEE that change or are lost in Aurena. We are planning on starting the upgrade process later this year and have already opted to skip V10 altogether for reasons of support and near end of life.  The problem we are seeing is that IFS Cloud with Aurena only is not fully featured enough at the start to replace our current business model within IFS.  We are on V9 UD13 with only a couple of small MODs, but heavy customization use and our own built interfaces to other applications.  I’m sharing our analysis document that is drawn from a couple of IFS presentations as well as some threads here on the IFS Community as the point where I’m drawing the information.  I’m finding things are evolving with each release, so the document will of course change, but thought it might be useful for some just starting to dip their toes into this area.  I didn’t want to highjack other threads on this subject so starting a new o

Hi,We are migrating to Apps 10 from Apps 9.We have been using applications since 2002.The Oracle database will be reinstalled and migrated to 19c.The following parameters are present and cannot be changed.- IFS instances: 3 (DEV, TEST, PROD)- ORACLE LICENSES EE CPU FULLUSE- Oracle licensing, usage is only on one server!- Oracle runs on bare metal and the failoverstrategy is a cold standby.- MiddleWare 3 (DEV, TEST, PROD)If I understand the requirements correctly, only one PDB is supported with one CDB for each instance?So I need to install 3 CDBs with 3 PDBs?In this case I cannot setup a resource plan for this 3 instances.Plus I got a overhead with with the cdb and it is more complicated to administer.All 3 instances con influence each other.I realy don’t understand this restriction from IFS.The database should work tranparent for the extended server?The negative aspects outweight the positive one.Anyway I’m thinking about to skip the implemantation for CDB and use the depricated non-C

Having worked with IFS Enterprise Explorer (EE) over the past 5 years, I am finding the transition to Aurena very challenging. Many of the features/functions I have come to rely upon in EE don’t seem to exist in Aurena.
