Dear,As per the technical documentation, Ubuntu 22.04 is specified as the supported OS for 24R1 SU19.However, for one of our customers in remote deployment setup and current version being 24R1 SU04, the Ubuntu OS upgrade / new environment provisioning is planned approximately two months later, while we need to deploy SU19 in Production earlier to address bug fixes. In this context, we wanted to understand - 1: What is the technical impact of deploying 24R1 SU19 without upgrading the OS to Ubuntu 22.04?2: Can 24R1 SU19 continue to function on current OS Ubuntu 18.04 or Ubuntu 20.04, and if so, is this supported or only technically feasible?3: What are the key technical dependencies, limitations, or risks associated with running SU19 on these older OS versions? Thank you!
Client error is popping up with different users from time to time while performing different transactions (invoice posting, invoice authorization, project forecast, quick report etc).Error disappears after reloading the page, sign out-sign in. It doesn’t pop up all the time, occurs randomly and you can’t recreate it. Some users specify client error occurs after the page has been idle for some time. This issue started to pop up since we moved to the cloud.
Our several customers use Oracle SE2 in IFS Cloud. However the IFS Cloud 25R1 Deprecated Features Log announced that SE2 support will become deprecated starting with 25R2 on September 2, 2025, and EE will be mandatory.Upon confirmation with IFS, we found that if SE2 remains unchanged, updating to 25R2 will result in compilation errors, and the update cannot proceed unless EE is used. After explaining this to our customers, there has been significant backlash.Being told this now makes it impossible to respond in time, but couldn't such an important announcement have been made a bit earlier? And are there any other customers experiencing difficulties?
Hello, I was trying to apply update my IFS Cloud, which is currently in 23R1 and I want it to be updated to 23R2 and then after successful updating, move it to 24R1. But after updating the Customer Baseline Repository from 23.1.4 to 23.1.24 and creating a topic branch, when I’m trying to order the environment, I am getting a very fresh environment and all the customizations we made with custom events and pages etc. are lost. I am not sure how to implement the update from here with implementing our customizations. I f anyone can provide the documentation regarding which shows how to clone our current solution repository to topic branch and then merge it, it will be really helpful. Thanks & Regards,Mani
Hi all,We are exploring the use of Oracle Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR) in our environment to support zero-downtime database changes during upgrades and deployments.I would like to understand if EBR is supported or recommended in IFS Cloud environments, particularly in scenarios involving customization or extension of database objects (e.g., projections, custom fields, or PL/SQL logic).Specifically: Does IFS Cloud officially support or restrict the use of EBR? Are there any known limitations or risks when enabling editions on schemas used by IFS? Has anyone successfully implemented EBR in an IFS environment (Apps 10 or IFS Cloud), and what was your experience? Are there recommended best practices for handling database changes without downtime in IFS, if EBR is not applicable? Any guidance or real-world experience would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hello Everyone,We’re currently in the process of upgrading from IFS Cloud 24R2 to 25R1, and we’ve encountered an issue related to our custom credit card interface. In version 24R2, we relied on the following procedures from DeliverCustomerOrder.plsql:Batch_Deliv_Pre_Ship_Del_Note Deliver_List_Inv_Lines___ Deliver_List_Non_Inv_Lines___However, we’ve noticed that these procedures have been removed in 25R1.We’re reaching out to ask:Were these procedures replaced with new ones or moved to a different location in the codebase? Has anyone else run into this issue during their upgrade? If so, did you find a workaround or alternative approach? What are your thoughts on us simply copying the previous versions of these procedures into our custom code to maintain functionality and avoid future impact, assuming no official replacements exist? We’d really appreciate any insights, experiences, or suggestions you can share.Thanking you in advance!
Hello everyone,I am currently working on a project to develop custom connectors for our organization to analyze and retrieve data from IFS. The functionality is comparable to solutions like Addovation, particularly in enabling the execution of Quick Reports. So far, the connectors have been performing reliably and meeting all intended requirements. As part of this initiative, I have developed two separate connectors: A Power BI connector that allows users to pull data directly from IFS and build dashboards within Power BI An Excel add-in connector that enables users to retrieve and work with the IFS data in Excel At this stage, I am looking to better understand the broader implications of maintaining custom connectors at an organizational level. Specifically, I am interested in insights related to API usage, rate limits, performance considerations, governance, security, and long-term maintenance. The solution has been built entirely from scratch, so there are currently no licensing or
Hi Team,I’m looking for a complete example of a DDLSOURCE file, as the link in the IFS documentation appears to be broken (404 error):docs.ifs.com/techdocs/25r2/060_development/027_base_server_dev/225_reduced_downtime_delivery/020_code_changes/007_concepts/090_source_code_file/ddlsource_files.mdDuring the 25R2 upgrade, the documentation states that all code from the .cre file should be added to the .ddlsource file. However, when I attempt to deploy, I’m encountering the following error: Thank you, Best Reagrds,Bhanuka
HI, I am looking for information on how to request a backup/snapshot for IFS Managed customer. I have only found very old information while searching for this topic and no specific information for IFS Cloud IFS managed customers Thank you in advance for your assistanceStacey
There is problem with the R24...cdb -scripts which are not executed and therefor some database alters are not in place. The unexecuted scripts are in component folders and named like 24R2-SU02.cdb or 24R2-GA.cdbexample:ifsremote\ifsroot\deliveries\buildhome_24_2_2\database\apppay\24R2-GA.cdbIs it Ok to execute those scripts before actual run of installer or is there some better solution for that?
HiI am trying to access the below URL but I receive a network error. Can someone help on this asap?
Hello, We want to use CRM Companion on Android. I can access the CRM/SRM screens. Does CRM Companion require an additional license?
Hi everyone,Could anyone confirm if IFS provides any recommended minimum sizing specifications for IFSCloud Management servers? I’d appreciate any guidance or documentation references. Thanks in advance!
In Apps 10 users were able to select/highlight more than one Business Opportunity at a time, right mouse and select Close Opportunity. In Cloud the Close option is only there when one record is selected - If more lines are selected then the command buttons disappear - Is this functionality scheduled to be added back? Thanks.
Hi,In Oil and Gas extension in App10 and prior, we have a functionality that when receiving a purchase order (PO), the PO number is copied to W/D/R number in the corresponding inventory transactions and inventory part in stock. This makes possible for us to track inventory for Transport, tax, return purposes etc..As Oil and Gas extension has become a core functionality in cloud, I wonder how the above functionality is implemented. Is it as same as before or a new column is used to track the PO information?
Hello,We are trying to upgrade our in house install of v10 to a later version of IFS Cloud which we will also host in house. We do have a current process that works, however it takes 30+ hours to run. It currently upgrades 10 to 23r2s4. Then it cycles through 2 versions of 24 and 3 versions of 25. It seems that we should be able to skip from 10 to the latest version of cloud that we plan on implementing to shorten the lifecycle. However, there were some steps provided to us per our customization by IFS for the leap to 23r2s4 and there are some other steps for the initial 24 version related mostly to queueing. I’m trying to figure out how to include those while going more directly to a later version. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much.Julie
Hi,In 25R2 , customers who use delivery continuity need to empty all cdbs and move code to relevant ddl/dml files to support online delivery. For customers who upgrade to 25R2 and dont use delivery continuity for now , can still do the same as above targeting future use of the feature and continue with offline installation? As per documentation this is possible as i understood?Best Regards,Wasana
Hello our wonderful IFS Community :)We’re running IFS Cloud 24R1, applying SU20 to a pilot instance for evaluation (going from SU9). We’ve encountered an issue when receiving goods off of a Shop Order, complaining that an Expiration Date is mandatory. I’ve limited things down to something that appears correct in the SU9 version of the API INVENTORY_PART_IN_STOCK_API and a variable check_mandatory_expire_date_ that is referenced in the Check_Insert__ / Check_Common__ procedures. Here’s a sample of the check_mandatory_expire_date_ being set (as opposed to the DEFAULT value for the parameter taking place. Anyone encounter an issue like this when going to SU20? Error message:ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [EXPIRATION_DATE] is mandatory for Inventory Part In Stock and requires a value.INVENTORY_PART_IN_STOCK_API package body snippet:-- Bug SCZ-27258, Start check_mandatory_expire_date_ BOOLEAN := TRUE; -- Bug SCZ-27258, EndMany thanks, and feel free to let me know if you’d like addit
Currently, we create Customer Orders with lines that detail all of the Services quoted and sold to a Customer. We use Lobby elements to look at the Customer Order Lines based on Wanted Delivery Dates so that when actual date approaches the lines wanted delivery date, we generate a New Requests from a Customer Order. This brings over our Connected Customer and Order No. and when we get complete the service and approve the Invoice Preview from the request it will add an additional line to the Customer Order it was made from. Our Sales Coordinators now have a Service Sales line that cannot be adjusted from their end, so if pricing is wrong, it has to be done from revoking the Invoice Preview and re approving it through our Service Team. If the pricing is accurate, they take an already existing line from the Customer Order for that specific service and mark it free of charge, then invoice the Customer Order Line for the Service. What I believe would be much more efficient for our business
Hi,In the page designer, in dont find how to set default value for a custom fields mandatory. its a field with enumeration. thank you KR
Hi everyone,We are currently uplifting from IFSAPP 9 to IFS Cloud and I’m converting our Execute Online Custom Event Actions into Workflows. In IFSAPP 9 we had the following Custom Event condition:IF ( (country_of_origin_ IS NOT NULL) AND ( (NVL('&OLD:COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN','xyzXYZ') <> NVL('&NEW:COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN','xyzXYZ')) OR (NVL('&OLD:PRIMARY_VENDOR','xyzXYZ') <> NVL('&NEW:PRIMARY_VENDOR','xyzXYZ')) ) ) THEN I’d like to understand how to model this logic correctly in an IFS Cloud Workflow.Specifically: How can I compare OLD vs NEW values (e.g., COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN, PRIMARY_VENDOR)? Is there an equivalent to Oracle’s NVL() function in workflow expressions? What is the recommended approach for handling field change detection in workflows?
Hi, In our project we have standard entities with customization. For exemple for this entity file : SupplierInfo-cust.entity"entityname SupplierInfo;component ENTERP;layer Cust;attributes {public CSupplierSync ENUMERATION(FndBoolean) A-IUL;}"cdb file associated for 23r2 is : DECLAREtable_name_ VARCHAR2(30) := 'SUPPLIER_INFO_TAB';columns_ Database_SYS.ColumnTabType;BEGINDatabase_SYS.Reset_Column_Table(columns_);Database_SYS.Set_Table_Column(columns_, 'C_SUPPLIER_SYNC', 'VARCHAR2(20)', 'Y');Database_SYS.Create_Or_Replace_Table(table_name_, columns_, '&IFSAPP_DATA', NULL, TRUE);END; We tried to modify this cdb file, but every Order Environment in 25r2 release upgrade process failed… How do we manage with this cdb file for the 25r2 upgrade ?We read the documentation and Ifs community and each "order env" failed ....We tried with ddlsource file , cdb file, using specific EBR "# function".… without success. Thanks a lot for helping us ! Vincent
What are the challenges in 25R1?
Hello, has anyone installed 25R2 SU1 yet? We have leftover Custom Field Views after the update, because views like the RECEIPT_INFO_ALT were removed, but the RECEIPT_INFO_ALT_CFV is still there.Would you consider this a bug or is there a way, besides dropping the view, to get rid of the invalid views with IFS onboard functions? Best RegardsChristian
I am trying to use the IFS Report Migration Tool to convert an rdl layout to an rep layout. I get an error that states a file is missing and to please add the .XSD file to the same directory. The XSD file is in the same directory and I still get this error. I have tried both individual file conversion and the folder conversion. The file names are exactly how they were exported:SomeReport.rdlSomeReportRep.XSDIs there an additional naming convention that needs to be applied to the XSD file?
