Hi  Team,My IFS partner has recommended the installation of IFS App 9 on a cloud server (Virtual Machine) and the resolution of issues on our current IFS App 9 system, which is presently operational on our on-premises server.I am seeking your expertise to determine the technical and legal feasibility of this proposal. Specifically, I would appreciate your insights on the following aspects: Technical Feasibility: The compatibility of IFS App 9 with cloud server infrastructure. Potential challenges and considerations in migrating from an on-premises server to a cloud-based environment. Requirements for ensuring a seamless transition and optimal performance. Legal Feasibility: Compliance with licensing agreements for IFS App 9 when transitioning to a cloud server. Any legal implications or restrictions that may arise from this migration.

We are currently working on upgrading to 23.2.6 (remote deployment).  The middle tier server image files are no longer showing under “manage deployments” in the LE build place.  Our current application version 23.2.0 is running on OVA 2.0.1, but I’m pretty sure I saw that new SUs were running a newer middle tier version before we lost access to the dropdown list previously showing under manage deployments.  The bootstrap and binary downloads are still there, but the OVA dropdown seems to have been replaced by Oracle version package downloads.  Any idea where they went? 

Hi All,Anyone with experience in upgrading from IFS Apps 10 Aurena Permission sets to IFS Cloud permission sets?  Is it a full rework or can it be upgraded?I know if it is IFS EE to IFS Cloud then it is a complete redo, but guessing we can salvage a lot from Aurena permission sets to Cloud permission sets.Regards,Malik

Hello, My topic stands in the context of a migration project from APPS7.5 to IFS Cloud 23r2.It seems that module "Support Center" that was part of the APPS7.5 solution no longer exists in IFS Cloud.What the replacement module in IFS Cloud ?Do the core upgrade scripts handle this module (at first from 7.5 to APPS10, at second from APPS10 to IFS Cloud) ? Thanks in advance for any answers.Best Regards.Hervé

Hi I am testing notification in IFS Cloud, I have created SO and I am simply changeing status of my SO. I do recive notifications in IFS Cloud, but I am do not recive any email. I have already check my email addres, to make sure it is right, and it is. Hi,If i understand well, with a major release bookmarks will be deleted. Is there another way to keep or copy them than copying them one by one for each user profile (i don’t even know if this will works after the update)? Regards,Pierrick

Hello, we have IFS UPD20 running on Windows Server 2016 and need to upgrade to Windows Server 2022. Is an in-place upgrade supported or is a clean install preferred. Obviously a lot more work to re-install everything. I asked this question through support and was directed to this community forum. 

According to the Kubernetes documentation We are aware that the K8s certificates, which is used in the IFS middle tier, will expire in one year.This is a concern because it may cause the environment to become inaccessible without any prior notification.Therefore, we would like to know• What the IFS recommended way is to check the expiry date of the K8s certificate.• The IFS recommended method for renewing the certificate.• Any other certificates related to the IFS middle tier that we should check?

Hey all,An employee would like to search for the phone number of a customer in Account Contacts to find him/her faster, however, currently there is no formatting standard employed for phone numbers. I created a custom object in IFS cloud, but it is not listed in the page designer business representatives. Seems custom fields are not used before in the system. Any material which says A-Z flow or any advice?

Dear All, We are currently working on an IFS upgrade project to transition one of our IFS customers from IFS 9 UPD 14 to IFS Cloud. We have completed our first upgrade iteration and have upgraded the customer to IFS Cloud 23 R1. The customer belongs to the telecom sector, and work orders from IFS applications are the main area they are utilizing. During this initial iteration, it took 78 hours and 20 minutes to execute the main upgrade script. Out of this total time, 72 hours and 52 minutes were spent on post-installation data file deployment. Within this time frame, the work order module related files took up 69 minutes and 37 minutes. We have an IFS 7.5 (IFS on Windows server 8 and Oracle 11g on RHEL 6.1) application, we want to do only OS and DB upgrade. We want to upgrade from Windows server 8 to windows server 19 and oracle 11g to 19C. is the IFS 7.5 will support these latest OS and DB upgrade?

Hello, Is there any way how set up notification, that there are new courses added to IFS Academy?? It would be very helpfull if it would be possible to set subscription, and receive email notifications about new courses.Is there any functionality like this? Or something similar?  Thank you 

You can’t pass string values through quotation marks to 'select’ queries in custom fields that you are going to use in reports. When you pass string values through quotation marks, it generates an ‘Error ORA-00936’ Oracle error. To avoid this, you have to pass string values using APIs.

Hello All,I was in connect with out very old customer using IFS 7 SP1.Now they are willing to get themselves on IFS10.Wanted to know is there a possibility to upgrade from IFS7 SP1 version to IFS10 directly?I am aware that IFS 7.5 can be upgraded, but not sure on IFS 7.or reimplementation is the only option?Thanks,Hardik
