Hello, I have one simply question:IFS documentation mention that OS Linux supported version for IFS Cloud Remote is 20.04 LTSIs this condition stiil recommended?Does IFS support and recommend installing Ubuntu 22.04 LTS instead?Is it acceptable?

I am attempting to perform an Update Analysis of a new release, but am encountering this error when the tool is attempting to clone the customer-solution repository master branch.Are there other configurations I need to complete before launching this tool? I do have access to the DevOps environment from witihin our cloud build place, and am able to successfully open it with a browser. Here is a screenshot 

Hello IFS,What is the process when a delivery/SU/RU is received from IFS and it contains changes to e.g. a DB field where the existing DB field is removed and replaced by a NEW DB field with a DIFFERENT name?This is causing major headaches to try to backtrack as the old field might have been used in existing events, BPA (workflows), print-out reports, 3rd party work flows and Power Bi reports that will start to fail when the OLD DB field is no longer availabe.How are other customers handling this?Is there a change log available from IFS’s side with these details?Br Hans

Hello,In most pages, Main Representative is set us such that the text is blue, and if one clicks on it, it opens a new page with info of that person:I would like to do the same for Parent Company:I can’t figure out how it is done normally, for example with all those fields, where one can hold Ctrl + click to navigate to that page. Does anyone have any tips? 😊

Hi All,I recently performed an upgrade installation for a customer using version 24R2, and the installation was completed successfully. However, when attempting to log in to the application for the first time, it displays the message: "Account is disabled. Contact your administrator."  I have checked the account status from the database, and the account is not active. I updated the status to active by modifying the FND_USER_TAB table. However, I still cannot log in to the application. I’d appreciate any guidance, best practices, or documentation links you could share on this topic.Thanks in advance for your help!

APP 10 end of extended support is March 27, 2028What is the Update-plan for APP 10 leading up to that date?Update 26 was released December 5, 2024. Will there be 4 updates released in 2025, 2026 and 2027 as well? What about 2028?Does anyone have any info on this subject ?

I was interested in finding out how people have handled the problem that the ova version of ubuntu which runs 20:04 has a version of libcurl that does not support CIDR notation, which means that we must individual ip addresses och not networks which would be much better ?Is it too much to ask that IFS updates the OS to at least 22:04 or higher or at least give us the chance to run a lInux distribution of our choice like Redhat Linux 8 or 9./Craig

Hi,I’m trying to see if there is a way that I can compare all the modules and sub-modules in the local enviroment vs the complete set of modules and sub-modules available. We’re on 23R2. I can get a listing of installed components in Installed Components. This is a high level view, though, and doesn’t have a sub module listing. How do I compare with the available components listing to see what we are missing out on and possibly items we need to purchase? TIA  

Hi,I have a question regarding best use of the IFS environments. Where are people doing configuration changes? eg. Lobby (Data Source/Elements/Pages) and Quick reports.  These activities require data. The DEV environment in Build Place which generally has a short life span does not hold data.  Are people repetitively populating DEV with data to facilitate report development or are people using a Use Place environment? eg. CFGGrateful for responses on how people are splitting their development activities in real world scenarios.Thanks

We recently update a SND and PPR (both non production) instances of IFS Apps 10 UPD 13 to 22. In both instances our textboxes on the Materials Tab of Prepare Work Order have altered and we have found no way to shrink them back to normal height for textboxes. Hello all,We recently upgraded from 22.2.14 to 24.1.2.Our lobby datasources no longer work with a ‘DISTINCT’ in the column definition. They worked fine in 22R2. I tried adding a DISTINCT to a simple standard IFS datasource and it also did not work. All of the Queries seem to work fine in SQLDevelopper.Is DISTINCT no longer supported in datasource column definitions, or does it have to be implemented in a certain way? If so, what is the good implimentation method?Error message: Could not preview element. Make sure datasource is configured correctly and view is existing.Sample attached, but it could be any datasource.

Hi Community,In MWO, service Technician have the ability to modify Tool entry in case they make a mistake or they wants to modify their tool entry.In service technician portal, service technician doesn’t  have the ability to do this.We are currently implementing IFS cloud, and I’m curious to know whether service technician have the ability to modify Tool Entry with “IFS cloud”? Thanks Mesh 

Hi all,Is it possible to set up a message in the notification bar triggered by specific actions for notifying personnel when they get tasks assigned in the HSEQ module? Since the customer finds emails ineffective. This doesn’t have to be limited to HSEQ; it’s fine if it applies to other modules as well in App10. Example:When a user is marked as responsible role and the next to act in the process flow, they must perform their task for the flow to proceed. To ensure this, the system should display a message or notification to the user upon login, such as:“You are the next to act on NCR 7345”.Thank You!Best Regards,Oshani

Dear IFS Community, We would like to get rid of (legacy) customisations done within the Build Place, in order to get back to a full standard IFS Cloud environment, as the IFS Cloud implementation project is re-launched.There is currently nothing live in production.We also wonder how to “decommission” some customisations existing in the Customer Solution Repository, when a new IFS Cloud Release provides new standard functionalities that can replace the customized functionality developed and deployed.Can anyone share the right way to do so ?Thanks for your feedbackKind regardsPS : Not sure the “sub forum” is the adequate one, but didn’t find better in the list ;-)

Hello all, In Release Enhancements 6 (Enchancements Guide 6.13.0) there is a paragraph about Additional Attributes, that they support extra data types as DateTime.So, I created an additional attribute in FSM Smart Client using a datetime field (Custom Metadata→ Column Type: DateTime) and added this attribute to PSO List “Scheduling - Activity details” asValue: Activity.Additional Attribute.datevalue However, this field is still empty, even though I did an initialize of the dataset.We are using PSO Version 6.13.0.68 Is there any additional steps that I have to follow?Please provide your inputs...Kind Regards
