Manually Firm Shop Order

Hello.  Our planning team would like the ability to firm a shop order once the machine is scheduled and materials are on site.  This action would prevent any further MRP messages on the order as the order is scheduled and ready for production. Does this exist in IFS?Thank you!

CHANGE INVENTORY PARTS TO NO INVENTORY PARTS

Is it possible to change Inventory Parts to Non Inventory Parts?We have accidently loaded via our Parts Supplier lots of parts as Inventory Parts when they should have been Non Inventory Parts.We do not want to stock them on Inventory, we should only be able to purchase them?Thanks,

Simultaneous Indirect Jobs

Hi,To record the Tank Truck Unload, we make an indirect job record in Shop Floor Workbench so that we have data on the average/maximum unloading times per raw material and number of unloads.The problem is that an operator can be working on 2 Tank Truck Unloads at the same time, but in IFS he can't start two indirect jobs at the same time. When he starts the second entry, the first indirect job is automatically closed.Is there a solution to this problem?Best regards,Luísa Quintas

Count-In Customer Owend Stock

Hi All,We are seeking a solution in IFS App10 based on industry best practice.Situation: During year-end inventory counting, certian amount of customer owned stock has been counted out (complete lot-batch quantity). After sometimes, some stock has been discovered. So, we need to count-in those customer owned stock back to our inventory.What is the best practice in IFS?

Intercompany Setup - Incoming CO error

Hi there,I’m trying to manage an intercompany transaction but I receive an error message in incoming customer order so the CO is never created.The setup is done, I have followed the document about intersite setup I found here and I have checked that the Connectivity messages is activated.When sending the PO from Site 1 (Company A) to the supplier (connected to the company B), I receive this error message:However, the EDI coordinator is entered in customer: Any idea?Thanks in advance.

Supplier Evaluation

Hi,Is there any mechanism to keep record of supplier evaluations?There is a field in Supplier/SRM Info that can store supplier rating, but is there any rating mechanism like a weighted factor to input the scores for each criteria of supplier evaluation?Is supplier audit a suitable tool for this? It keeps record of standards and business areas being audited and does not seem to be suitable for a long checklist. But even if so, is there any way to record the result of the evaluation for each area as a score so that a total score can be generated as supplier rating? Thanks in advance,

Refill Remote Warehouse from another Site

Hi!Is it possible to refill your Remote Warehouse from another Site via Shipment Order?Let’s say we have two Sites in the same Company. Site A and Site B.The central warehouse for the company is located on Site A.Site B does not have a central warehouse, but it has several Remote Warehouses in various locations.Can I somehow set up that the refill should create a Shipment Order from Site A to a Remote Warehouse on Site B? I can do this manually with a Shipment Order.So far I’ve only found that refill can be done with Put Away, but that is within the same site if I remember correctly.We are running 22R1.

Scrap Purchase Components/Supplier Material Against Purchase Order

We have a scenario where we send raw material to our outside supplier to make a product, and we are trying to set the Inventory Part as Purchase part type, create product structure so that when we create the Purchase Order, we have the ability to ship the raw materials against the PO. When sending the components to the supplier, we usually send more than what is required to account for the loss of material during transit or some damages at the supplier location. When the material is received, we do sometimes receive the extra components back, or sometimes it is considered as scrap at the supplier. If the material is scrapped, during the PO receipt, is there an option to ‘Scrap Components’ against the PO?Currently, any extra material we are sending on the PO is resulting in transaction posting as ‘M19 - Price Diff Purch’ posting type which is tied up to our material price variance account. We don’t want this to go to our variance account since in reality the material will be scrapped. W

Not possible to Approve Approval steps in Sales Quotations

When using approval process in sales quotation in Cloud 22r2 we are getting the below error when trying to approve the approval step. This error occurs in any status of the sales quotation.

Italian e-invoice information (codice tipo and codice valore)

 For Italian invoices we are looking for the possibility to send extra information, i.e. the codice tipo and codice valore. We can see that the IT Einvoice transformer does contain both of them, but we can't find out where to fill the values.Does anybody have experience with this? And more important, willing to share? ;-)

Chane custom fields on customer order line when stage billing invoice has been issued

After a staged billing invoice has been issued on a customer order it is not possible anymore to change the content of persistent custom fields on CO lines.In order to be able to issue the first stage of staged billing profile on a customer order the CO needs to be released.After releasing the CO the content of the CO line cannot be changed anymore mainly the added persistent custom fields.Cloud 23R1 SU3 Any idea?

the quantity reserved may not be negative error in Transport Task

hiI occurred an error in transport task in IFS 7.5 Version.there is a Transport task in System when I want to Execute Transport task, system arise an error which is said “the quantity reserved may not be negative”transport task is for pallet handled part  additional Information:that transport task was Created When Receive a Part From Shop Order to a Pallet delivery Location,Rest of Transport Task were Created in this way ( from same Shop Order), they have no problem

Multiple Locations when one would do?

Good day IFS Community!I am stuck a bit on how IFS is reserving parts and putting them on a pick ticket.  The issues I have are:I have part ABC in location number 123 Quantity = 4000I have part ABC in location number 234 Quantity = 4000 My shop order or customer order will have part ABC in a quantity of 500The pick ticket will direct me to get 200 from location number 123 and 300 from location number 234 even though there is enough in the first location.  I do not believe reservations are playing a part in this.Why? The second issue I have is I am having parts being left out of pulling.  For instanceI have 4 of part ABC in location number 123.I have 24 of part ABC in location number 234.My customer order is for 16.  The pick ticket does not direct me to the location number 123 to “clear” the remaining amount.   We are utilizing IFS Cloud.  I am also in the beginning stages of utilizing storage zones for priority when picking.

Background job : Calculate quantities for Inventory Part

Hello, I noticed on my customer environment (already in place) a lot of background jobs (several thousands in a short period of several days) I do not recognize.Example : I did not find anything with the description and function. Do you know where theses background jobs come from ?It seems to calculate quantities about an inventory part on a specific site but I don’t know which quantity and the objective of theses calculations.I’m sure it is simple but I can’t find it. Thank you

Viewing setup within Visual Planning

Hello.  I am new to IFS (several weeks) and am looking to implement Visual Planning.  One of the key aspects of successfully maximizing machine load is to start the set up of one job while the previous job is finishing.  To do this, I need visibility into the setup times of each job.  We do not want more than one operation to plan by, so the goal is to get the visual on setup within the bar representing the total time on the job.  Is there a way to do this?

Serial Number Addition

Good Afternoon,  Is it possible to add a Serial Number manually in IFS?  We recently had AP miss entering a serial number in IFS but now we need to do a RMA without a serial number.  The system doesn’t like that and blocks the RMA. I want to be able to add into the serial history to the part and complete my RMA. Thanks

Prevent global inventory

Hi everyone, I am looking to prevent global inventory of of all stock locations.In normal flow, we are using “Create Count Report”, and we limit the number of stock location by using “Number records to be Printed”. But in case of mistake, for example by going too fast and click on “OK” without setting up the report, all part will be inventored, and the system will crash.So im looking for a way to block this. Thanks for your answers !

On Time delivery and penalties for late delivery

Hi Team IFS,I would like to know how can I generate a penalty for late delivery .I mean, if a supplier does not respect the delivery date, he should pay for that extra delay with a new invoice attached to the original one.I know that it is possible to see the delivery time of each supplier but after that how can I create the feature above on IFS Cloud ?
