Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

We used the metering invoicing functionality to generate invoices for customers.  The process creates a Work Order, a Work Task and then generates a customer order which we could invoice off of.  Unfortunately, I need to cancel some of the customer orders but cannot because they were generated from a work order.  Does anyone know the process for cancelling out the work order?

It seems PSO is scheduling 2 calls on top of one another when the duration and plan start times show that they cant be that close Here is the PSO ScreenPSO screenshotThe first task that was assigned was done so at 4:30PM On 8/6/20 to start on 8/7/20 @ 8:05AM. 120 Min duration At 5AM on 8/7/20 it assigned another call to the same user for 7:30AM. Even though duration is 123 minutes, PSO expects the user to complete the newly assigned task and drive to the next task within 30 mins? This has happened a few times to different users. Not all users are advising if this has happened. Any insight is apprecaited

What are the benefits of setting a functional object as a Geographical Object?  Can’t I just use a functional object with a particular object level to represent a geographical area?I know Geographical Objects are used in Service Contracts but I am still unsure of their advantages and disadvantages. Thanks, Curtis Taylor

Does anyone have a guide or documentation on how to create a second report formatter? The documentation makes reference to being able to have multiple formatters for load balancing purposes, but I cant find anywhere on how to actually do it, I assume it involves creating another application server task, but rather than venture out on my own it would be nice if there were step by step instructions or more details about it.

 Can a newly added custom field return a value without saving the page? For example, when I enter the supplier code on the manual supplier invoice screen, I want to see the information I want from the supplier from a costom field. However, I want to see the page without saving it.

Is it possible to customize the default screen (request/task) for a techportal or repairportal user?Requirment is tech-portal user supposed to see few user-defined fields in request page.  Request Screen has been customized accordingly. Screen has been assigned to  corresponding role.But, corresponding user still viewing the default request page.Please advise

In Apps 10 I have a service contract with multiple lines and appropriate objects in scope for each line and each line is for a different work type. One of my lines is for Emergency Work which has a Invoice Type of Resources Used (T&M).I have a Customer Agreement for the Contract Customer Header that has all my pricing.  i.e. Non-Inventory Sale Part No. ‘LABOR’ and $100/hr The above works fine without issue.  Now here is where I am looking for suggestions.  The labor price is dependent on where the work is performed.  If it was in TX is could be 130/hr, and Florida could be 135/hr.   How would I achieve this automatic pricing with my Service Contract and Customer Agreement based on location of equipment?

In IFS applications we are looking to sell a service for 1 2 or 3 years. We can get the customer order defined and invoice,  but Accounting wants to recognize the revenue by month since the services covers an extended period of time.   For example selling a service that will last 12 months for 1200 dollars   they want the 1200 to go into an accrual account and then each month they want 100 to come out of that accrual account and then go into the normal revenue account.    They also want to do this for an expense relating to the same item.   Any ideas?  

Hello, I searched IFS online help for Streams - the titles exist for help topics but no text to be seen after clicking on subjects - and yes, I tried using different browsers besides IE.  I’m looking for any information on streams.  I’m relatively new to the company.  They use streams for notifications of creation of customer orders.  I found the event action that sends to the stream.  Howver, I need to set up a new user to receive this stream.  I’m looking for a how-to on Streams.  Any advice appreciated. I have an error when I trying to use Search Domain on IFS10.all items in Search domains Window have already Enabled checked.I think this problem is Oracle issue but I not sure. We have our IFS on their managed cloud services and store our documents in the oracle database. Obviously we have now already about 880 GB of document data in our database (tablespace IFSAPP_LOB) which means that the backup (and restore!) take very long. We assume that there are a lot of obsolete documents and unoptimizied documents regarding their size.  How can we analyze these documents regarding age and size?

Is there a reason you cannot change an object you have created from company owned to customer owned? When creating a serial object in the serial objects view, you can select company or customer owned. When creating a serial object in the object view, you cannot and by default the object is created as company owned. Only when it is returned on the returns tab in the work order, can it be changed to customer owned. But this does not change the ownership of the object itself, which will forever stay company owned. Is there an incentive to change this? Does it matter?  

On the place screen, we have a “quick part price” button Using this will show you the list price of the part but nothing more. We have many part pricing rules in effect for specific customers but those numbers are only visible when adding the part to a part need. is there anyway to make this function work to look at those pricing rules? Doesnt look like it looks at the unit cost from the rule either.

Hallo, I need some help with mWO objects. I have  approximately 8 000 objects serviced by 50 technician. So I want to divide the objects into smaller parts (like service regions) & and have individual access to them. I disable property SuncAllObject on TAS. I (even)  disconnect group push user (IFSSERVICEENGAPP) from the site. Doesn’t work. Every mobile user can see all the objects. What else I should do ? Any idea, please ?

We have a requirement for a customer for which we would like to use eforms as digital forms to replace site appraisal forms. What we would like to achieve is that the technician completes a site appraisal in an eform and that the eform after completion stays on the mobile device. This is so that other technicians can see what has been completed in the eform during the execution of the work. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Hi Experts, As I know, ‘Finished’ & ‘Cancelled’ status WOs are viewed in ‘Historical Work Orders’ screen. But, if you look on the search option for ‘Status’, it shows two more options i.e. ‘END’ & ‘Reopened’ . So, can anyone please let me know the situations of those WOs ??? what are the instances of getting such status for WOs ???   Thanks, Thieuban

We would like to realize the Document Attachment function by batch processing (PL/SQL) in IFS 10. Could you tell me how to implement it? We're considering that IFS receive image files from an external system, execute the Document Attachment function in batch processing, and keep links with datas stored in any remote server, not the database. Hi, I’m starting to use IFS Application. It’s a Windows Client running on Windows 10 Professional. I was reading the on line help and doing the excercises proposed on the e-learning page. When working with the toolbar, I used the contextual menu to hide diferent toolbars. Suddenly, I hided all the toolbars and I can not find the way to show the toolbar again. We have certain windows that currently do not allow us to attach documents. I am looking to enable attachment in the windows but do not know how too. How would I do this in IFS 9?
