Hi Community , We have face error while receiving MRO shop order .Kindly need your help and feedback
We are planning to use part characteristics or technical classes and attributes to make it easier for users to find parts or products. Initially we thought it is the same thing and hoped that after technical attributes are defined that they would also be shown in the inventory part as well. This is not the case. What is the system logic to separate part characteristics or technical attributes? Which of these two functionalities are suitable to be used in what cases?
How do you change the promised delivery date only?
Hi,Does anyone have any experience and or guidance that you could share for how to manage Technical Classes that require both imperial and metric attributes and attribute values. We are mid way through a company by company implementation, which has being focused on European countries(where units of measurement are metric). Our next implementation will be in a USA located manufacturing company where the units of measurement are imperial. Ideally we like to use the same tech classes across the group of companies but we are unsure as to how we could do this in IFS if at all. RegardsJohn
Hello, Is it possible to have different planning methods in a multilevel product structure. For example we have a 6 layer product structure with different disciplines. I want to be able to make the lower levels for sheetmetal parts planning method D (fixed lot sizes), but the other levels have to be Planning method A so if the customer orders 4 we need to make 4 end assembly's but the sheetmetal parts for example 12 pcs. Can anyone help me with this topic? Thank you in advance
Hello, We have a case;Think of a prod structure : Part No : A (Main Part) (Got 1 operation ) Part No: B (Component Part of A) (Got 1 operation ) (Qty per assembly=1) Part No: C (Component Part of B) (Got 1 operation ) (Qty per assembly=1) we have no stock or supply for part A ,B , Cand we have shop orders like for required lot size of 1000 parts B and C have ( 10 days operation lead time) Shop Order (1234) : Part No A , Lot Size 1000 (Shop Order Operation Lead Time of 10 days) Need Date 25.03.2023 Think of a calendar of 24 hours working and no holidays.Mrp creates shop order requsitions for shop order 1234 like , Requisition no (123456) : Part B need date: 15.03.2023 and required to start date : 05.03.2023Requisition no (123457) : Part C need date: 05.03.2023 and required to start date : 24.02.2023 I want to make MRP to create shop order requisitions like having the behaviour overlapping function between each others. Part A can start after part B has produced 500 units Part B can
Which different between "Project" and "Project inventory" on word orderAndBest regards
I’m a bit confused with the functional differences between 2 fields in the different Engineering Part Revision Forms. One is “Eng Rev” (or Eng Revision) and the other one is just “Rev No” (or Revision No) In IFS Explorer the first field is described as “The engineering part revision for the selected part. This field cannot be modified. This field is for information only and affects nothing else in the system. “The second one (Rev No) is described as “The internal counter used to keep track of all revisions for a part. For each new revision, the counter is incremented by one. This is used to correctly order part revisions in forms and reports. This field cannot be updated manually.” … yet conceptually I can’t wrap my head around of the difference or how are they supposed to be used in different ways. Anybody can explain this for me? Thanks!
In older versions of IFS, using Shop Floor Employee reporting, there was a function to automatically assign an indirect job to an employee when clocked in for time and attendance. This indirect job was also started automatically when a shop order operation was stopped. Is there a way to solve this in current setup with indirect jobs and Shop Floor Workbench? Our scenario is that we have some warehouse workers where main task is warehouse work (defined as indirect job) but in some cases they also report on shop orders. We want the indirect job to be automatically assigned and only report deviations from this, e.g. reporting of shop order (start and stop) from SFWB.
Hello We want to implement detail control plan for purchase part and manufacturing part. For manufacturing part, we should input S/N for each Data Point and each Result No, first step we can sequence Result No by click head and input S/N (1st picture) for 1st result no, then save, but after save, the sequence will be change as per Data Point (2nd picture), which will not easy to input 2nd result no data. Can I always freeze sequence of Result No (or other specify columns)? How can I make it happen? Please help to advice. Thanks for your support.Susan
Community,I have a part that is a MAKE part, and it is lot controlled. i am trying to build it in a lot 10 quantity via a shop order with multiple lot numbers, so I am trying to register in the shop order with multiple lot numbers. but system only allow one lot at a time. why is that? how to fix this error?attached the error screenshot, you can see the lot 3 is already registered in the shop order but when I am trying to add more lots, thus the error.Thank you.
Hi, How does “Serial tracking after delivery” only work in cloud? The online documentation refers to “delivery structure” however, I have made tests from Project Deliverables Materials and Services and couldn`t find the possibility of entering serials after the issuing was done to the structure. Thank you in advance!

Hi, Does IFS provide an easy overview of overdue DOPs/Shop orders, pegged to a specific customer order?Sales would like to see when a shop order or DOP is scheduled after the planned ship date of the customer order lines, it could show in an overview screen so they see in one go where late deliviries will arise. We have DOP alarms, but there we need a couple of clicks to see the connected customer order. Same as supply chain order analysis: again some actions are needed to see it all. Does IFS provide an overview or do we need to create custom fields? Ideal view: Customer order line, with a field where the finish date of the DOP shows.
Community, Can IFS limit a set of parts read only? Thank you.
Hello All,We use Engineering extensively for our Prod Structures creating and new Engineering rev and transferring to MFG with each structure change. When we transfer a new revision site/inventory data such as Reserve/Issue from Loc is not added to the new revision. Has anyone come up with an easy method of replicating this type of data?TIA
Hi all, i want to create an Repair Shop Order out of the Customer Order. It works, if i want to create a Manufacturing SO, but i need to create a Repair SO (using repair structure + routing). What do i need to do?
Hi team, We have an MRO who receives the engine for repair and, while disassembling it, sometimes determines that engine is beyond economical repair and, therefore, will strip the items to stock. This will require labor, tools, and the costs involved in disassembly/disposition operations. CRO was created for those items and performed repairs if parts could be repaired. The output of this is that we end up with 10 to 20 parts in stock that are in a serviceable condition that equals the value of the labor, parts, and capital. When performing stripping down the engine and sending items to stock, the assembly side of the Complex assembly MRO work order does not need to be completed. (Only disassembly SO are closing) Can we do this in IFS App10 so we can close CAMRO without completing the assembly section of a work order? What is the most convenient way to perform this strip down to stock using complex assembly work orders? Thank you!
Hi, Trying to use Cumulative Lead Time. We have a simple set-up. A product structure with three Purchase (RAW) components. They have lead times of 120, 15 & 42 days on SFPP reports. Given a 1 day inspection time we have 121, 16 & 43 on the Expected lead time of the Inventory Part. The Manufactured Part has 40 hours on the routing so showing 5 days as Expected on Inventory Part. Running Cumulative Lead Time - I would have expected 125 days - but it is still only showing 5. Any thoughts. Trying to get lead-times working correctly. I have a thought as to why is is not from some previous posts, but want to see if anyone had unbiased thoughts. Apps 9 UPD17 Thansk, Matt
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to reserve or issue shop orders from a specific inventory location? For example Shop Order 11111 has all required materials at Location SO11111, but we don’t want to issue or reserve the same materials in other Inventory Locations. Thanks in advance
Dear Community,I have a part which I dont want to track in inventory, but I want to track serial number after customer delivery. Documentation page (F1) says it can be done, but I couldn’t figure it out how. 1- I set serial tracking at receipt and issue to no. ‘FALSE’2-I set serial tracking in inventory to no. ‘FALSE’3-I set serial trackinf after delivery to yes. ‘TRUE’ 4- I created a Customer Order and reserved the part. (non-inventory serial tracking but serial tracking after delivery)5- I created a shipment and closed it. In this process, nothing was asked about the serial tracking of the shipped part. Kind RegardsOzgun Bal

Community, Currently there is no interface between our PLM Winchill and IFS, so we are using migration job to batch create new Engineering Part. Wondering if it is possible to create new Engineering Part Revision via migration job batch uploading? Does anyone happen to have this experience creating new Engineering Part Revision via Migration Job?Thank you.
Hello all, I am hoping some has an answer to this IFS system behavior. I have noticed that when I create an Estimate, and then increase the Revision, the system appears to reorder the Estimate Structure.Below is revision 1: Here is revision 2: As you can see it appears to have reordered the part numbers under the structure. This creates quite a bit of confusion when reviewing estimates as everything is now out of order. I have tried resetting and refreshing the node, but it does not correct them. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
