Hi does anyone know what the unit of measure used for ‘Order Gap Time’?I have set the order gap time to 1 (assuming 1 day) on a top level inventory part to prevent MRP scheduling multiple units to be assembled at the same time on the same day. my aim is to get MRP to schedule the assembly of 1 unit per day to level the manufacturing schedule. regardsJamie
I am using IFS10, I have a question, there is a problem in the company with shipping racks that we are sending with our products. I have in the system all the products that I have to shipping to the customer but when i send those products they goes with a rack that is expensive and those racks have to come back to us just the product is going to take the customer but the rack’s not. So I don’t know if there is way to put in the system the racks that i am sending with the products to be sure that when they arrive, they come back to us. Each rack have their own serial number but I don’t know a way to putting in the system and for that they appear in a bill of lading or a customer order or some note that the customer can sign to be sure they have those racks and they have to return to us.if somebody have an idea for I can try to set up on the system, steps to follow, or something please. I will appreciate it. I just want to those racks come back and they won’t disappear.
We used the Estimate screen to develop product estimated material cost. Each component has a direct material cost per unit. We used Transfer Estimate Products to generate Inventory Parts. Is there a standard method in IFS to set the estimated material cost for purchased Inventory Parts equal to the direct material cost per unit from the product Estimate? If not, how do you do it? (circled field is what we are trying to populate via the Estimate screen) Thank you in advance for your response! Marty (cross-posted from Technology forum)
Apps10 UPD11 Aurena. I have a manufacturing Routing for part ZZ with one operation running through Work Center AA. I have all the lead times calculated, and I have run MRP and CRP. In Machine Load per Work Center, I see that there are two days next week for Work Center AA where I have a favorable Load % of only 30% and I want to know how much supply for ZZ I can createwithout overloading the Work Center. Without creating a shop order requisition with a Due Date that would have the operation run on those two days and then running CRP to see Requisitioned Load, or creating a planned Shop Order with the same information to see Planned Load, what method is available for a Planner to determine how many of ZZ could be manufactured on those two days to keep the Work Center loaded? There is simulation capability for material analysis, but what am I forgetting about simulation for short-term capacity analysis?
Hello,We are trying to determine the best way to support the following new process: Our manufactured product (MP) at Warehouse A is shipped (warehouse transfer?) to Warehouse B (3PL)Our off-the-shelf (OTS) product is inventoried at Warehouse B3PL company marries OTS to MP based on customer orders and ships to customer Any advice or experience to best create that communication between our company and the 3PL? Main concerns revolve around inventory updates from 3PL, and having appropriate shipping documents for 3PL to correctly build and deliver customer orders, since it’s technically 2 shipments for the same order. Thanks in advance!
In apps 7.5 IFS had a screen called Operation Man Hours, what is the equivalent screen called in Apps 9?
When trying to add a component in the structure of an Engineering Part Revision I get the error “sub part is of serial type and parent part is not of serial type!”. I don’t get that error when adding that same component into that same product structure of Inventory Parts :-(Is there any way to deactivate that check and avoid this error when I alter my Engineering Part Revision ?
Our manufacturing quality group would like to trigger a Control Plan analysis once for each finished good roll (think roll of fabric) that is produced. Seems like a valid business requirement. I have read the documentation on Sample Frequency Trigger and understand that you can’t create custom trigger types. I have read about Acceptance sampling and don’t think that will do the trick (but maybe I am just missing it.)has anyone done this before? Thanks
Inventory Part has the Inventory Valuation method Standard Cost, Cost Per Lot Batch and Zero Cost Allowed Business Purpose - I want to count in a new lot batch with zero cost. I know how to modify Cost Level Details in the Inventory Part and receive the part at zero cost for the cost modified Lot / Batch Number only.My question is how do I create a new lot batch with zero cost without having to go through modifying an existing lot batch no? When I try to do ‘Count Per Inventory Part’ entering a brand-new Lot number, I am unable to count in with zero cost. It automatically takes the Unit Cost assigned to other lot batches, and thereby creates an inventory transaction without zero cost. If I want to count in a new lot batch with zero inventory value, what should I do?
Hi, Currently , my Customer want to import CAD file(Dassult ENOVIA) into IFS.It means, IFS read the CAD file, recegozie the EBOM , import into IFS as product-stucture. I know there is a tools called “CAD Adapter” , and IFS can do API with that “CAD Adapter”.https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/050_development/024_integration/280_ifs_applications_business_components/060_CAD_Integration_API/default.htm My question is:For “CAD Adapter” , it is something customer need to buy by himself? (IFS doesn’t offer) After customer buy “CAD Adapter”, the developer need developer an intergation tool through the IFS-CAD-Intergration-API? Is my understand correct? Is there any more Out-Of-the-Box tool existing? Thanks,
Hi all,(Using IFS10, UPD7 - on the verge of updating to UPD9) We use the Multi-Company Project reporting mainly for (Project) Time Registrations. Invoicing between companies is done manually through Instant Invoices (So far, preferred by the end-users) Now we are looking into using Project Invoicing to send the Invoices across. Creating the Invoice is all working fine. But the create Supplier Invoice is not auto-matched against the transactions.Posting Control PRJT11 is setup, but not automatically kicking in.We are using Message Class INVOICE and Media Code E-INVOICE to send the invoices. Anyone else using Project Invoicing to send such Invoices who can tell where to look?
I am trying to set a True false (checkbox ticked for true condition and not ticked for false condition) type of enumeration based custom field on Multilevel Availability Check Screen in IFS but due to some reason the logic works fine at sql developer it shows value as false for some records and true for some records but in Front end I can see all of it gets ticked even If it is true or falseThis bothers me because I am not able to tell why is this happening, Someone Please give me some insights I am running out of patience. I really hope you understand my situation. This is the query I have written in Custom Field Select Statement -SELECT (CASE WHEN (MULTI_LEVEL_MSG_CONDITION IN ('Available + Open Supply covers Demand','Available covers Demand')) THEN 'TRUE' ELSE 'FALSE' END) "Availability" FROM PART_AVAIL_STRUC1931493261_CFV WHERE TOP_CONTRACT = :TOP_CONTRACT AND TOP_PART_NO = :TOP_PART_NO
Community, I need to borrow your mind here. i am in MCPR Project Time Registration window, i am trying to report a project time, though the report code is set up with “Invoicable”, but each time i saved the record, system will reverse it to “Not Invoicable”. After that, even I am trying to make it invoicable in Project Transactions window via RMB “Set Invoicable”, system will prompt the error message “It is not possible to modify the invoicability of multi-company project transactions.”any ideas?Thank you.
I have a customer who use labor oriented operations. However, when I use Labor time only my operation start and end dates were the same even though I have Remaining Labor Hours. Hence, for a full Labor oriented operations shop order scheduler does not respond. However, we consider it in Lead Time calculation.I know documentation also says, Infinite scheduler only considers remaining manufacturing time when the operation is scheduled. If the operation is planned with only labor time, the operation will be scheduled with the same start and finish time. This is an serious issue. Is there any alternate way to accomplish this requirement.
Hello,I went in and changed a shop order, before it ran, and edited ingredients. When it ran, it didn’t pull up what I had edited. Is there some sort of refresh I need to do?
How do you set the default inventory part status in Aurena? I could not find the option in APPS10 Update 10 (I finally made the change in IE). I looked in IFS Cloud and also did not see the option.
We are experiencing a performance issue in the project connections window. The Screen "Project Connections" is very slow to load, depending on the physical location and the size of the project, it can take up to 20 mins to get a result. This is connected to the case G2227269.Best regards,Elath.
Is there a way to set a parameter so shop floor clokings are not modified for prior months?
When running capability check, are non-consumed components considered if qty per assembly>0, lead time>0?
Have any other users of the system been able to find a work around with Gantt dependencies when using the scheduler? Our PMs are getting frustrated because they spend time linking dependencies together and then the only way the schedule button on the Gantt view aligns and considers those dates is to just push everything back to the earliest start date of the entire project. It’s not workable for them, just wondering if any other customers have a smart work around.
Hi, Trying to credit Project Invoices - which are not the last generated and getting the below error message. Does anyone know about this or experienced it before? We are on application 20 and crediting application 16. Thansk, Matt
Hi, We are global company, and start using APP10 to set up multiple company reporting. We need knowledge on this. we have bunches of engineers from Canada are working on a Belgium project. They are trying to use the Belgium report code to do the time reporting, but not be able to. We know that could be resolved by MCPR setup, your step-by-step documentation is very much appreciated. Thank you.
One of our MRO customers are having an issue where, when you manually add a blow through part (Type K) in an ASO material line and then include a random part to the same work scope from the Disposition Summary Screen; after the releasing of the Interim order structure, the manually added blow through part gets removed.Kindly explain why this is happening as I believe think this an incorrect behavior.
An MRO customer of ours is requesting for solution for the following scenario:Customer is having a part which is always replaced every time in the parts of the unit that composes the received repair product. There are multiple number of these replacements parts under each unit, and the customer doesn't want to issue a Disposition Shop Order because they are getting replaced every time. But he wants it to be able to be connected to ASO material tab as well. How can we handle this on the system?
