Smart Data Manager Mapping Parent Child Relationship in generated keys

We are using Smart Data Manager to migrate “EQUIPMENT_SERIAL” and “EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_TEST_PNT” which has a parent child relationship using field “EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_SEQ”  This field value is an auto generated value and in the EQUIPMENT_SERIAL and there is no way to put newly generated  “EQUIPMENT_SERIAL.EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_SEQ”  to “EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_TEST_PNT.EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_SEQ” Is there a built in way in the tool to resolve this

accounting journal

Hi, I have a Polish company. Need to create accounting journal for year 2025. Year 2024 already exist.On window Create accounting journal, I have add the accounting year 2025 , sorted by Voucher date and Seq number per Voucher row. But then I get Error message; The Acc Journal year already exist.What is the problem?regards Tarja

IFS EE permissions - Aurena Permissions

Is there any way to convert the IFS EE permissions into Aurena permissions (projections) or when transitioning to Aurena all permissions need to be created from scratch? Similarly, can Aurena permissions be transitions to IFS Cloud or do we need to create permissions for the cloud version of IFS.  Thanks

FSM Mobile App - Barcode Scanning

Background:We at Electrolux implementing IFS FSM as our Field Service Management platform including FSM Mobile App for Field Service Technicians. Currently using FSM6u10. Requirement: I, as a service technician, want to be able to record spare parts I consumed/used on a consumer/customer site by simply scanning the barcode on the spare part packet, instead of manually typing the long 14 digits part id.Questions: Is the FSM Mobile App only supporting the Barcode Scanning functionality with a 3rd party free open source app for Android? Since the 3rd party app is no longer supported by original developers, how in future IFS would provide warranty support for the 3rd party open-source app since FSM product documentation doesn't specify if the 3rd-party software is supported i.e., maintenance support covered by IFS in case of product upgrades, android upgrades, etc. so to ensure the barcode scanning functionality continue to work. And if the app is removed by 3rd party itself or by Goog

how are shop order cost calculate for Estimate material

as attachment, does any body know why shop order cost estimated material less than shop order material? in shop order material tab, there are 9 materials. but in shop order cost,estimate detail only have 5 materials. where can setup to make all of the material in estimate detail?

Scheduled Database Task- Leadtime

We have a scheduled database task to run Cumulative Lead Time Calculation.  It is scheduled to run weekly on Wednesday.  Is there a way to tie this to a manufacturing calendar or limit specific dates?  Christmas is on Wednesday this year and if we run it on a day with no scheduled work, the calculation will be incorrect.(Currently in Apps10)

Timesheet Guide

Looking to implement Timesheets where employees can enter time against projects. Does anyone have a guide / documentation of how to do this? I see a lot of documentation about Time Cards but this is all related to Normal/Overtime/etc.. type work. Requirement is to post time vs. projects. Thanks!

Unable to confirm timesheet due to job hours and attendance hours mismatch

Hello,I'm reaching out for assistance regarding an issue I'm facing with confirming my timesheet in IFS. Despite following the recommended troubleshooting steps, I haven't been able to resolve the problem.The main issue is a mismatch between the reported job hours and the attendance hours, resulting in an error message when attempting to confirm the timesheet: "Not all days could be confirmed. To confirm the remaining days, reconcile their job and attendance hours."Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:1. Log in to the IFS ERP system.2. Navigate to the Time Registration screen.3. Issue with custom entity ODATA

Hi, Everyone,  i have this issue when i try to consult my custom entity from the Project Definition Page {"error":{"code":"ODATA_PROVIDER_ERROR","message":"An internal server error occurred. "Employee does not exists" When trying the confirm the hours of a returning employee

Hi everyone,We’re using IFS IEE APPS10 UDP7 and we’ve had situation where the company rehired an employee that was previously terminated and every time, when the supervisor tries to confirm their hours, there is the following error message popping up: “Employee does not exist”. Though, the employee is assigned a position, a schedule and the supervisor is able to see them as one of their subordinate.The hours are even properly confirmed, it is just that the message appears every time. Only occurs with returning employees.What could be wrong? When reactivating the employee, I removed the termination dates, set the employee as active again and cancelled the activity log status.Thank you very much!

What is the most efficient way to maintain the custom changes made in Page designer during upgrades

We recently upgraded to IFS Cloud R23.1.7 from Apps 10 aurena.  In Aurena we kept the page context as “Global”  With each upgrade we have to go into Page configuration and bring all of the “Behind” pages to a status of “Up-to-Date”  I have 3 separate companies, each requiring their own custom screen layouts.  In order to maintain multiple versions of screens in IFS cloud, I am going to have to maintain multiple versions “Context” of each screen.  I would then need to apply any upgrade changes to each context version of the screen.  What is the most efficient way to do this.  I need to make sure with each upgrade that all the new functionality is added but also keep all of my custom entities(Custom fields) on those screens.  At this point I have been expanding the comparisons and un-doing the items that are deleted before I put the new version in place.  Is there a better way?Thanks,Jennifer

Business Activity - Supplier Request

I am looking to develop an process for requesting suppliers.  I am testing the Business Activity process and there is an option for Supplier Request in the Connection Type field.  The Connection field is required but there are no options to select.  Where is this setup or where is the basic data to populate this required field?  Or, am I using this wrong?

How to extract nested process variables in Workflow

Hi,In IFS Cloud 23R1 workflow, I’m trying to access a nested variable but nothing tried so far can get at it. As an example, below is the payload from CustomerOrderHandling.svc/CalculateAndFetchSalesLineTotalWithHeaderParams (called during creation of a customer order line):If I want to check the value of BaseSaleUnitPrice in a gateway I’d expect to be able to reference it as ValidationRec.BaseSaleUnitPrice in an expression. However it’s not working and when inspecting the debug, the contents of ValidationRec are not even shown:Any suggestions?Thanks,Ian

Code String issue for Fixed Asset object

I have created External voucher for Fixed Asset object. When try to approve there is error Object has existing accounting transactions with code string that differs from the transaction to be created.How Can I delete or amend the line with error? I can’t do it on external load information.

Formatting the Payroll Transfer File

Hello,We are currently on Apps 10, and we are currently exporting our payroll file from IFS and sending it to ADP our payroll provider. Our business users are requesting to add a new wage code onto the payroll hours export from IFS, but we are not 100% sure if it can be modified. We reached out to an IFS HR Consultant Partner we work with, and from our understanding it seems that her IFS customers are modifying the file to their needs. We are trying to figure out if this file was a customization or standard IFS File. Has anyone had to modify this file? And if so was it possible?

Transfer parralel currency balance to a new account

Dear Experts,I want to transfer a negative parallel currency balance to the new GL account. Q voucher is not allow to create a voucher entry due to zero balance in Balance and Currency Amount as follows. Connect Work Order to the Project via Technician Portal or MWO

Hi,My customer is using IFS Cloud and has a scenario where engineer will be raising WOs via technician portal or MWO for the specific project activity. As standard, I can’t see a way to connect newly raised job to the project using portal/MWO, only directly on the Prepare Work Order screen. On another topic there was mentioning of possible configurations can be done, but no details have been provided. Can anyone assist? In addition, there will be a lot of PMs used on the project, however as standard functionality PM Actions cannot be attached to the project activity at the generation point. Is there a way to connect PMs to Project using Technician Portal or MWO?Thank you

Added Translation Not Showing/Working Even After Cache Refresh In IFS Cloud

After editing/changing a translation for a custom attribute and refreshing the language cache, the translation still doesn't show up in the client. It may take several hours to appear.

SLA IN WORK ORDERS

We have SLA Templates created and connected to Service Contracts and we want this to trigger when a Work Order is created.I can see in the Work Tasks the SLA Order Number is populated but the SLA Latest Finish Date does not pull with the calculated Finish Date to meet the SLA?Does anyone have any experience with SLAs that can help?Thanks,

Availability of all historical WOs, WTs and Work Task Steps in Equipment Object Navigator

Please confirm whether the options of “All historical WOs”, “All historical WTs” and “All historical Work Task Steps” are available in Equipment Object Navigator in IFS Cloud releases?  If it is not available in the current releases, please confirm whether it will be included in upcoming releases. What is the IFS recommendation or workaround to cater following requirement? I strongly believe this must have been raised by several others customers alreadyNote:It is crucial to cater for an easy and user-friendly way be able to demonstrate the planned, ongoing, and historical maintenance activities.
