Hi,We are looking into using custom application messages to create and receive XML files in order to make an integration to an external customer system.  My initial thought was to create a custom plsql api package to fetch to correct data from the database, and then create the application messages  by using the Connectivity_SYS, Plsqlap_Record_API and Plsqlap_Server_API api packages. Then also set up the correct transformers, rules and adresses in the solution manager. Something important I am missing? Furthermore, I noticed some functions in IFS Developer Studio, which is called BizAPI Model and Transformer Model. Is this something that can be used for this purpose? I don’t find the documentation especially helpful, so it would be great with some help to get started. Some examples would also be great.  Is there other things I need to keep in mind while setting up the integration?   

Hi, we have recently installed UPD16 on our Apps 9 environment. Since the install we are unable to run a custom menu where we select 2 lines are selected. We have a custom field that ruins on the customer order line and takes you to the inventory part in stock.    Previously we could select multiple lines but now we cant. The RMB is greyed out. It only works when one line is selected. Please see working example before the update and example after the update. You help is much appreciated.    Regards, Gary 

I have a read only multiline  text field (4000). The  query to show data in this screen is something like this   select listagg(t.CF$_field1 || ' - ' || t.CF$_field2, CHR(13)) within group(order by cf$_part_no, cf$_site) from table_clv t This will show field value in a each separate line if I copy the result to notepad++, however the custom field on the screen does not show in separate lines Notepad++ 1233 - some test 1265 - adfadf   Ifs shows below   Is there any way to solve this problem?

We have managed to configure the TAS server and are able to send work stream notifications and messages but nothing else. Is there any security or event configuration I have to set up to be able to use the notify me app?? I was hoping it would be just a matter of the user being able to log on and base functionality would allow them to see anything assigned to them.   Help appreciated  

Hi All I would love to know how you backup your IFS_HOME on the Application Server before applying an IFS Patch or IFS Patch Update? For clarity, I am running IFS version 9 on a Windows Server environment. Now I have never needed to restore the IFS home after a failed update in our current version of IFS (did I just say that!?), so this has led me to wonder if my post patch safety net will save me in my time of need? I have in the past intended to back up the IFS home, using 7-zip (due to crazy path and file name lengths that windows cant handle). When I get to do this, during our tight window of opportunity, it just takes way too long. FYI: It is 23Gb in size. So I don’t bother and decide to rely upon the seemingly effortless Virtual server snapshot taken by our super network boys…… Now is this going to cut the mustard when/if my patch fails? We have successfully completed a DR exercise using these backups/snapshots, so it should work? Even if I d

Hi,   I am trying to change the label name of Page from Page Designer as well as from Navigator Designer. I dont want to publish the changes, I want to first see from my user id (IFSAPP). After doing the changes i am saving but not publishing the changes. What I am experiencing is when I am restarting the Aurena or refreshing the page, changes are not reflecting in UPD 8.    When I was doing in Upd 6, changes were reflecting to me after refreshing of pages but when when I am doing in UPD8 I always have to publish the changes. To make the changes effective is this has become mandatory to publish in UPD 8. Please confirm.   Thanks and Cheers  

Is it possible to create a new search domain in Apps10? I'd like to add the Supplier for Purchase Part. So if someone is searching a part number, the supplier's part number will be included with the search. 

Hi Guys I know this is not recommendable but one of the Customers inquired if it is possible to hide few rows under Quotation history based on associated custom object criteria? For example-  in below screenshot can we hide bottom two rows under Quotation history tab (highlighted in yellow) where Custom Object- Comm Method is null- possibly using check/uncheck box?     Thanks in advance

In the Scope Tool there is an aspect in the Resource Planning area (IFS10). One of the screens is to issue equipment to an employee. The name is frmEmployeeEquipmentCard  Does anyone know from which module this screen is a part? How to access it (so which path to follow)? Regards,

New user, registered and approved. Able to login just fine, but cannot find any kind of logout/logoff option.   Nothing helpful came up in search, so I made this post   I don’t see a good “sub forum’ choice available, so I’m going to try to post this without it, if it makes me pick something and it’s wrong, I’m sure a mod will move it.

For some reason, the system did not create the Financial Project when the Project was setup and approved.  Is there a workaround to create the Financial Project  or some way to create the Financial Project manually and link back to the Project?  

Hi community, in the following screenshot you can see a new Revision, with the Revision No.: 0 Logically, the system should continue counting with the next higher number instead of counting down. Even the IFS help says so: "The internal counter used to keep track of all revisions for a part. For each new revision, the counter is incremented by one. This is used to correctly order part revisions in forms and reports. This field cannot be updated manually." What happens here?   Thanks a lot for your help! Best regards Nadim

Hi, I want to create a new form window and also need to display the tabs which have table window.  In form window, showing some read only data and in tab window, user will enter manually with some auto fill which drive from header form window. i believe, there is no option to add tabs in Custom page. Is there any possibilities to create form window.? Currently we are using IFS 9 and soon we are going to update 10

Hi all,   At one of our customers we have a "sizing" / "scaling" issue when printing (.zpl) Labels on Zebra printers. In the Label Designer or a ZPL Viewer, the Label Size seems to be correct. However when we print the actual labels, the information which is printed on the Labels is much smaller. Please look at the attached pictures. Although the picture is not perfect, the information on the actual printed label in real life is nearly not readable ( to small). And as you can see, the information printed is aligned to the upper left corner. While in the designer /or ZPL viewer, the information is nicely centered over the entire label.   Does anyone of you have an idea what can be the cause of this? Can this be a printer setting, or something in the layout design? (Of course the actual label size is also 8 x 4 cm, as the label was designed. So we are not using the wrong label size.)   Thanks and best regards!

Hi,   I have issue about customization deployment in Linux.   in windows, i can deploy customization successfully with run re-configure. but, when i try in linux, the runtime is not deployed (client.war is not generated), and also there is no the figure below when run re-configure  advice please. Hi all, We are using Access Provider extensively in Apps 9 and are about to upgrade to Apps 10. We will have to continue using Access Provider for some time after the upgrade. Question is, what is the best way to set it up. As mentioned in the first post, this issue should be solved by doing the sorting in the datasource. https://community.ifs.com/products-all-about-making-and-managing-stuff-40/lobby-chart-in-sort-by-x-axis-1189#post4824 But when I do this, it doesn't work and still it sorts on the amount column instead of the date column.    

Hi. Does anyone have anything that might help me with custom tabs in Aurena? I need to add a custom tab, based on a custom logical unit, into a CRM screen. The LU has been created with a Projection in the EE client, and I’ve created the Projection in Aurena, but I’m not sure what the next step should be or how to get the custom LU to appear as an entity to connect it to the new page. I had been wondering how to insert sticky notes from an api. Sticky notes use two tables: FND_NOTE_BOOK_TAB and FND_NOTE_PAGE_TAB. There is one note book for an object that can have multiple note pages. Each page is connected to the note book via a note_id. To test this I prepared the following: A script to insert a new note book (this is when you don’t have sticky notes yet on an object) A script to insert a new note page based upon the note id as prepared in step 1.
