Hello.I have created a new permission set and am modifying the ‘Entity Action Grants’ through the Projection Grants window for the ChangeRequestHandling Projection I have added to my permission set. (See image below). I am trying to restrict certain CRUD functionality for a specific entity (EcoRequest). I want to allow Update, but disallow Create and Delete functionality. Is there a way to currently do this in Aurena, or even in Enterprise Explorer? All I seem to be able to do is grant the full CRUD available. I’m using IFS version 10 Update 10. Any help with this would be appreciated. 

Hi All,We are testing in Aurena and finding that we are getting errors on basic functions. For example, when I use the navigator to navigate to Business Opportunity I instantly get an error. Here is the error we are seeing with the code below. Any help would be appreciated! Hi All,   Can anyone explain here that is difference in table structure between Aurna and IEE (ifs10) or not.    Means table columns, data type is same in IFS IEE and Aurena.  Example:-   view  customer_order  =  Aurena = IEE (IFS 10).Can we migrate data into Aurena based on IFS 10 IEE templates.Kindly let me know in details. Thanks in advance. 

When I am trying to scan pres objects for reports in my IFS Application 9, I am always facing this issue.Presentation Object Scanning issue

HelloI am trying to create a new permission set by merging few existing ones. Can i do that?i try ‘Import Permission Set’» Merge Option and it give me following success message but i am not sure where to find this new permission set now… it didn’t ask me to name new one nor it give me any info on where to find it… i just got this message…. any pointers on where to find this new merged permission set, if it is creating one… this is IFS8Looks like it is merging to the existing one.

Does anyone know of a way to create custom fields that are hierarchical in Apps10?  Depending on what is selected in Parent field determines what is displayed as LOV in child field.   

We are setting up and using the EDI function in IFS.  We have a request to add the customer’s company name to the outbound file.  Is there a way to do this without custom modification?  Or perhaps I am missing something and the data already exists?  Thanks,Mark

Good afternoon all, I have recently joined an organisation as Business Systems Manager.  We are running IFS Apps 8 with JBOSS 5.1.2. middleware (looking to start an upgrade project very soon).Approximately every 4 - 6 weeks, all users (c500) lose connection to the Production system, the issue is resolved by restarting the JBOSS server.  The loss of connections often happen towards the end of the week, later in the working day.Our infrastructure/middleware is all managed by a third party who have not implemented any JVM monitoring and internally we have not set up any integration monitoring or monitoring of the JBOSS application server.In our JBOSS server logs I have seen a few java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space errors and lots of socket write errors.In my previous experience (20+ years SAP) the java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space errors have been known to be critical and cause loss of connectivity due to memory exhaustion or poor garbage collection housekeeping.I am lo

from last week  i am facing problem with reports. i need to restart the jboss services in every 20 min then only reports and solution manager able to open. i got below error. Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to import inventory data from Excel to IFS? I have some experience with Migration Jobs but I am stuck at uploading the .csv file. Below my Migration Job and the .csv file I try to upload and the error message it results in.     

Good morning, I wonder if you can refresh my memory on the following: I have created a custom menu on the Sales Quotation Line and Sales Quotation Lines so that the user can RMB and Approve Sales Quotation Lines, ( note:  this updates 3 custom fields user_id, date_approved and approved_yn).  (PL/SQL Code) My question is how can I grant this RMB to a select group of users? Many Thanks John 

Unfortunately, custom objects > Grant didn’t provide the answer. The custom menu is on the Sales Quotation Line but I cannot see to locate the area to revoke/grant this option.  I only want a selection of employees to have access to this. Please advise.

Hi all, I made a Quick Report, which works fine when I view the report in IFS. IFS Apps 8, JBOSS 5.1.2.I am only two months into my role of Applications Manager in my company.  I have 20 years previous in SAP, but new to IFS - hence my request for guidance/advice.Intermittently, every 4 - 6 weeks, normally later in the week (Friday - Sunday), we experience a sudden loss of connection to our IFS Production system.  My support team have routinely resolved this by a JBOSS restart which more often than not resolves the issue.I have initiated root cause analysis and I can see on the JBOSS EAP server log that we are seeing lots of socket write errors, and, just prior to the downtime, java.lang.OutOfMemoryError:  Java heap space.In my previous experience these errors have been fatal and caused downtime due to exhaustion of memory, often down to memory intensive processing and poor housekeeping around Garbage Collection.I have copied the JBOSS server log file at the foot of this email.I would welcome any advice/guidance in terms of root cause analysis and review of Heap/
