Dear IFS Community,  Does anyone know if IFS are planning to correct the IFS Document Management Add In since Internet Explorer is now depreciated. I click ‘Save new Document’ and the application does nothing.  David.

Is it possible to make a custom field that lists true or false if another date column is less then the sysdate?

I want to make a custom field that will be sortable and just list True or False if the Phase Out Date for the row is less then sysdate, is that possible?

How to manage the permission of handlings?

Hi, We are using an outsourcing application to manage candidates. When a person becomes an employee of the company. We would like to send employees' information to IFS. We are planning to give EmploymentAssistantHandling documentation for integration. However, We don’t want to give all methods. It can have security problems. For example, We don’t want to give Delete or Patch methods. Can we limit those methods?

Report design keeping lines together after a page break

Dear community, I run into problems when I try to keep lines together after a page breake in report designer. I need to force the report designer to keep all rows together. If there is not enough space for the rows, the rows should be displayed on the next page. Can someone help please?    E.g.

Self-hosted integration runtime configuration

Hi,We've already configured a direct database access with IFSINFO schema via a VPN between the CLOUD IFS and customer's network server.Now, we would like to study the idea of create and configure a self-hosted integration runtime.Please see the detail into the following link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/create-self-hosted-integration-runtime?tabs=data-factoryTo implement this solution we need to create self-hosted integration runtime (VM) as mentioned into the diagram of the "Command flow and data flow" section.The Microsoft recommendation is to host this self-hosted integration runtime (VM) on the database server.But, this is not compliant with the IFS managed cloud rules.Here the answer we received :"We suggest the customer install the self-hosted integration runtime on his own network and use the S2S VPN to connect the self-hosted integration runtime to the oracle database.IFS does not allow hosting the self-hosted integration runtime agent in the FS network

Issue in Sending SMS using custom event

Hi,I need to send SMS through a custom event. Customer suggested to use an external API they have set up and they have provided the postman details as in the screenshot.The Grant Type they have used is “Authorization Code”. But in IFS applications there is no authentication method called Authorization Code there.Therefore I used Client Credentials But it gave the following errorIs there any solution to solve this error?

Aurena native scan it SSO login

Looking for information on other projects using scan it with SSO login.We have enabled SSO login with IAM client to AD FS server at customer site.When they use this on Scan It from iPhone device (clicking the blue button) they get prompted to enter credentials.If they do it again, they get prompted for credentials again. Is there a way where it can “keep” the credentials so that it does not require you to re-enter your credentials? Similar to how it works on a laptop and SSO sign in?Also, is there anyone having experience using Mobile Device management through company? Like Xen Mobile, mbm etc for app distribution. If so, which type and is it working ok for you?

The Filter option (in the dropdown) is not available for Enumerations as in the reference (List of Value) fields.

Some search criteria have many options and it's hard to find the record to select. This could be Currency rates, Country, or Languages etc. and It’s better if there is a way to filter these items

Grant access to specific reports under permission set

Hi,In app10, we have following options to grant access to specific reports under the permission set.  I'm looking for the same option in IFS Cloud (22R1)I want to give access to some reports under specific permission sets. Can you please help me to find this similar screen in IFS cloud ? I see its bit  different in IFS cloud, so I cannot find 'Reports’ under presentation object by navigator.  What are steps that I should follow in IFS cloud ? Thank you.

Why page help doesn't work for functions under Solution Manager?

Hi all!I use IFS8. Normal I will use ‘page help’ to learn a new function, which will turn on help page from browser IE. But for functions under “Solution Manager”, it doesn’t work.For example, I try to load help page for function “Solution Manager\Configuration\Event Actions\New Event Action”. It give error message “404 - File or directory not found.” Detail please see followed pics.How can I get page help for these functions? AutoBuilder setup functionality is broken since end of September 2022

Hi,since end of September it’s not possible anymore to properly setup IFS AutoBuilder from \\corpnet\files\F1Tools\IFSAutoBuilder There are 3 reasons for this:The configuration part has split into 3 sub parts (LKP, CMB, MKE) which renders the setup routine unusable as the configuration file SetupBuildAutomation.xml does not hold the correct paths for the IFS ConfigBuilder anymore. Check the following XML tags:   <CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE>..\IFSConfigBuilder\SetupConfigBuilder_Apps8.exe</CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE>   <CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE80>..\IFSConfigBuilder\SetupIFSConfigBuilder80.exe</CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE80>  <CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE90>..\IFSConfigBuilder\SetupIFSConfigBuilder90.exe</CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE90>  <CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE100>..\IFSConfigBuilder\SetupIFSConfigBuilder100.exe</CONFIGBUILDER_SOURCE100>As you can see, there’s only “..\IFSConfigBuilder\...”. REST API: Customer Order Line Document Text

Hi, Does anyone know how to use the IFS Rest API’s to query for the document text associated with a Customer Order Line? Based on the debug console it looks like I need to use the DocumentTextHandling.svc API. But whenever I try to call it using the following: DocumentTextHandling.svc/NoteTexts(Objkey='{OBJECTKEY}') I get the following response from IFS: {    "error": {        "code": "ODP_RESOURCE_NOTFOUND",        "message": "Resource not found."    }} Does anyone now how to use the DocumentTextHandling.svc API? Thanks

Reports Take Longer To Generate For Different Sites

Hi, We are having a weird issue where reports are taking 20-30 seconds longer to generate depending on what company/site they are pulling from. For example, the customer order acknowledgement, which is a crystal reports file. For Company A, Site 1 it takes about 25-30 seconds to generate a preview. For Company B, Site 1 it takes 50-55 seconds. Both are using the same crystal layout and oracle view. Any ideas on what this could be?Thanks,Mike

Where to look for the reason for the erroneous form layout of the IFS9?

After installing a package containing changes to the form (new tab and new fields), the layout of the format is wrong for some users. For other users it is correct.Profiles do not contain the layout section for this format.Where to look for the cause?

BLOBS in Crystal Reports

Having trouble displaying a BLOB field in Crystal.If I drag media_thumb from media_item onto my report, it displays the thumbnail in design mode, but when I preview, it errors with   If I insert a picture and change the properties of the picture to use the media_thumb field, that also crashes saying you can’t use blob fields in queries.Any ideas how I get around this. TIA.

Custom URL

We are trying to change our Apps 10 instance to use a custom url such as ifs.domain.com so we can use our wildcard certificate to secure the connection. We have a .local internal AD domain (can’t be changed right now) and don’t want to point users to the app server name to access IFS. DNS is pointed correctly. We have changed the <ifs.system.url> in the instance XML file and started services again, but not sure what else to do to get this to work.
