Greetings, IFS community. In order to create some entities, I need to use the IFS Studio Developer application. Our IFS version is 22R2.Our IFS is hosted directly by IFS. The Odata Connection information has been provided to me. What is the process for connecting to IFS Developer Studio? Having experience with IFS 10 connecting to IFS developer Studio. Does the Host, Service, User Name, Password, and Schema need to be provided even if the IFS hosts it or there is another way to do so? Thanks,Juan Luis

Hi All,I am trying to add a custom tab to the standard page 'Project Monitoring'.The content of the tab should be a group or List, based on a custom entity that also has the Project Id as an attribute.I tried to add this the same way a tab with a list is added but it does not work.Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Regards,Kishore Nenwani

Hi All,I have created a new stream message with a URL to navigate to connected object. This URL can be seen in the stream message in IEE as below.But the URL navigation seems to be unavailable in Aurena. The URL link is connected to Aurena page. Is this how the available functionality works or am I missing any settings? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,links present in the lobby seem to be broken. in some clicks, it gives me a different error, and in another click another error. any advice to fix thisthanks in advance :-) 

After our recent cloning from a Single Instance (PDB)  to a RAC, we found almost 75 SYS DB objects being invalidated, which resulted in more invalid objects in the IFSAPP schema (175 in total).Recompiling the invalids won’t work as well, and it will still remain invalidated after force validations too. The RAC cluster is installed within Oracle Linux 8.5 which is Oracle verified, and the Oracle version of the DB is 19c E.A. Release 19.0.0.0.0 - Production [Version 19.14.0.0.0]Has this situation been seen by anyone, and which solutions \ suggestions do you have for us to solve it immediately? Thank you in advance.

We would like to have an email with voicemail attachment from our customer hotline be received into IFS and Open a Case.Not only would this be a good way to track incoming calls from the hotline, but also be a way to gauge response time...etcDoes anyone know of anyone already doing this?Think of it like a helpdesk situation where the user can email to open a ticket….in this case it would be an email from the phone system opening a case.

Hi all,when are new modules in solutionset.yaml located in section customComponents, their Java implementation is not builded.If it is located in coreComponents section it works.But their are not supposed to be here.Their should be in customComponents section.We have currently 7 new modules and in coreComponents section it did problems after purchasing new modules - our modules was removed by automerge. And now it occurred again while applying SU 22.1.5.So we really need to move this modules to right section to avoid problems.Does someone face same issue?I created Case CS0079483 nearly three months ago (2022-06-10 13:22:27), but only IFS response is “Our product team will investigate and will provide the solution” (same text on 2022-07-27 10:22:17, 2022-08-10 09:54:24 and 2022-08-24 11:49:09).ThanksBR

We are moving to Cloud and are asked to share the IFSADMIN credentials with IFS and others.What are the general precautions and guidelines for sharing this?Are there other admin accounts that could be shared instead?

Would it be possible to adjust an incorrect text translation that was performed on the "Core" or "Ext" layer?The complicating factor is that we only have access and permission to make adjustments using the "Cust" layer.Symptom: the field to be adjusted has never been customized, so it is not yet included in the Cust layer. When clicking on "Extract Localizable Strings", the system (IFS App 10 + Visual Studio) displays the message "Fail - Xml file generation was unsuccessful..There were no selected resources to extract".The absence of the Xml file means that the "Start scanning" does not find the field ("Imported 0 of 0 resources"), and consequently, it does not populate the data on the translations screen (tbwTextTranslations).We identified a way around this, making a small adjustment to the field (in the "Text" property). This action makes the field become "customized", successfully generates Xml and finally allows adjusting the incorrect translation.

In IFS Documentation, it saysFile SenderFiles in the text format can be tested using Developer Studio.Assume I want to create an outbound csv file using IFS Connect. How do I test this using IFS Developer Studio if the csv file is created as expected instead of setting up a FTP/SFTP server? 

Hello.I have a weird issue that I can’t explain.I have to make an event on SHIPMENT_TAB when the ROWSTATE field takes the Completed value, on an update.For my tests, I consider a shipment with the Preliminary state, thanks to the contextual menu, I can change the state into Completed and vice versa.The inconvenience on that, I have noticed that my event doesn’t manage to run. I have then commented the condition on the ROWSTATE field, and strangely, I manage to run the event only when this field takes the Preliminary value, never on the Completed  value… why??

Hello, I am currently using IFS Cloud and I have a ‘silly/simple’ page modification I’d like to make. There is a List of values that I’d like to display the name as well as the description for these values.The names are 1,2,3 and 4The descriptions are low, medium, high, and urgent.How can I get the description (Low) to appear when selected as well as the name. Right now the name (4) is only appearing, but I’d like to have it appear like “4 - Low”Thanks,Bryan

Apps 10 - Creating a simple custom reference field and received this error message: Can someone explain to me what this is telling me exactly, and how to correct the problem?

In IEE we can send a “screen” to a colleague often, for example a list of work order tasks… but we have not found this possibility in Aurena … I attended a webinar  for Document Management, presented by Mathias Dahl (IFS) (on behalf of the Scandinavian usergroup) and he managed to send a list by email … from Aurena.  It was called Bookmarklets.. but how can we make these ourselves ? 

Hi , I know that IAL is announced be deprecated in 21R1. while , I just notice that “create New IAL Object” function is back  in 21R2 & 22R1.So, does IFS allow to define csutom IAL Object in IFS Cloud again?if NOT,  could I know the purpose of “create New IAL Object” function? 

Hi,IFS developed a workaround for us to improve performance to display large amounts of data by using Materialized View (MV). The MV refresh job runs every hour to keep the data reasonably fresh for users.The Light Cleanup job should run every 10 min. It normally takes around 3-4 seconds but when the MV refresh background job is running, the Light Cleanup is taking about 30 min. - a major change. Do we have someone here who could explain why the Light Cleanup execution would increase so dramatically? What can we do to mitigate it?Sometimes, the MV refresh also gets killed by the Light Cleanup. Hi, we are on 22R1 currently and are deciding whether to update to 22R2 or 23R1.Logically it makes sense to move to the latest, but there are some internal concerns about new release stability.Has anyone installed the latest release without any trouble?Thank you

Hello, Are there multiple ways to reserve shipments, shipment lines, shipment orders, or shipment order lines? I am automating that process and the function that IFS uses to reserve all shipment lines is “StartShipmentMainSingle” in the ShipmentHandling projection with the parameters {"ShipmentId":"${ShipmentId}","StartEvent":10,"LocationNo":"${NULL}"}}This seems fine and all but, when I call the same projection action in my workflow I get the error“cannot ROLLBACK in current PL/SQL session” which comes from the larger error:How do I approach this issue when this is an error with the procedure that is being called? We are on IFS Apps 10. When we run a simple query for one part number on the Inventory Part Availability Planning screen the system takes approximately 30 minutes to return data. Often the query will seem to time out and return Request Aborted. We do not fund any similar issues on any other areas of the system. Queries and reports are running efficiently. Has anyone came across this issue or have any suggestions as to what might be causing it
