Framework & Experience (Infrastructure, Cloud, Integration, Dev Tools)

Hello,Apologies from the start as I'm very new to IFS. I’ve recently joined a company which hosts multiple IFS products in Azure. We have an issue with our Apps 10 instance and we are unable to load the admin console, all services appear to be running fine. We can login to Aurena and Enterprise explorer just fine as well. So I would like to run a reconfigure as we need to be able to access the admin console.Unfortunately the engineer who setup this Apps10 instance, left the company a week after I joined. We do not know the IFSSYS password, so I'm unable to run the reconfigure.Luckily I’ve been able to figure out the password for ifsapp, MWS_PWD and sysdba. I can also login to the oracle DB as sysdba. So I could run the below command and change the IFSSYS password on the DB and then try reconfigure, this seems like a very bad way of going about things. ALTER USER IFSSYS IDENTIFIED BY NewSuperStrongPassword; How would you go about solving this issue? For some perspective this is a test Ap

Hi,I'm trying to implement a workflow in which I will be giving an error msg if a custom field doesn’t contain a value when a condition met(Customer used conditional fields in APP9 to set mandatory the field as below and trying to achieve same using workflows in cloud since conditional fields are not available in cloud). To achieve this, I have created a validation type workflow as below and when I try to create a document revision using the New document revision assistant I’m getting an error as below(When I try to create a Document Revision using the Document Revision window it’s working as expected). Many thanks for your inputs on this issue.Best regards,Uvini

There was a page:https://wit.ifsworld.com/Technology/prodcert/PreviousPlatforms.htmcontaining supported platform info for older IFS versions. Is that information available somewhere else? Thanks.

We have been using BRES for a few months now but it’s been quite slow recently. IFS Apps 10 update 12 (Soon to be Update 19)When we restarted it we noticed 4 reports started straight away but they never finish.BRES LogI found the reports on the BRES Report Queue but I can’t delete them.BRES Report Queue Can anyone tell me how I can clear these reports from the queue?Currently no other reports can run.ThanksPaul

Hello, Currently, there is a field on the Supplier for Purchase Part page called “discount %”. It is set to mandatory from the get-go, but it also automatically defaults to zero, so the mandatory setting is a bit useless since it will never not have a value unless you delete the zero. Is there any way I can remove this zero from defaulting onto the field so we can make sure users are entering the correct value? I would normally create a workflow to do this but since this is before the part is created, it doesn’t seem like it would work. Thanks,Bryan

Hi All We are on 22.2.8. We have 1 user (out of 60+) who keeps getting ‘Page Unresponsive’ in Chrome. We have checked the user setup in IFS/Windows and its identical to colleagues. We have tested on a different PC, we have increased resources on his existing PC, we have tried all sorts and it still happens to him. Other than the next step which is for us to set up a separate/new user for him to test. We are running out of ideas so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Is there a way to find if the cache ( Security cache to be exact) is corrupted in IFS , a table perhaps ?

There is information that the debug console will be discontinued in 24R1, but what will happen to the page information tab within the debug console?

Hi IFS Experts, can we hide the Budget selector from Prepare Work Order in Aurena by page designer or Apperance Designer? Thanks!

We have 1 company that has 3 sites, 2 of the sites are manufacturing locations (site 2100 and 2200) and one is for R&D (site 2300).  We want to limit the folks in R&D to only be able to view the data for the 2 manufacturing sites (2100 and 2200), but have full access to the R&D site (2300).  The data that we need to limit is the Inventory Part, Recipe and Routing.  I know one solution is to give them 2 different logins and set security to limit what they can/can’t do with permission sets and site assignment.  This takes extra user logins (licenses) that I would rather not have to do.  Is there any other way to do this?

Currently we are extensively using the workflow engine and are running into all types of issues. The latest one is that all used projections HAVE to be granted to the user that will trigger the workflow. If the user does not have enough acces, an error is given “Insufficient Privileges” causing the transaction to abort,In the past (using SQL) we did not have this problem since this would run under the IFSAPP user.Does anyone else have this issue? We're already in discussion with IFS R&D, but the only thing that came out of that is that they will put it on the limitation list for now and it might be fixed in the future.

There are specific IFS Connect Routing Rules set up that allow Kubernetes to determine if the service is ready.Should these rules be deleted or amended then the IFS Connect container will not start and therefore the application will be unavailable.Always make sure that an Inbound Routing Rule with the name ‘READINESS_PROBE’ is available in the environment in questions. If it is available then make sure that it is Enabled as well.An enhancement request has been created to make sure routing rules of this type are read only in future.

Hi All, I was able to successfully POST a new sales group using Postman. Now, I am attempting to achieve the same using a file.Integration API used is follows: This involves placing a JSON file into FTP IN, fetching it through custom routing, and finally directing it to a routing address that calls the same action type projection. When I perform this process in the CORE system, I encounter the following errorExecutionException from Sender thread Caused by: ifs.fnd.connect.senders.ConnectSender$TemporaryFailureException: Exception while sending data Caused by: org.json.simple.parser.ParseException: null Have you encountered this issue before?

Hi,We’re using IFS Cloud and our kubernetes certificate has expired in our einvironment. Could you help me with renewal of it?

Is it possible to schedule a safety inspection in IFS apps10 and then have it auto-schedule. ie create an inspection for 1st January and have it repeat 1st of each month. Or is it still manual and needs a new inspection to be created for each month?

A very vague question I know but I thought I would ask anyway :)We have a repeatable instances where some Customer Order are updated to 'Invoice/Closed' when a Shipment is ‘Delivered’ and some Customer Orders (same customer / Order Type / Shipment Type) once shipped, the Customer Order state goes into a ‘Delivered’ state??I can see this process is using the Quick Order Flow (API) process and I have spend a good couple of hours looking around the API stack and still none the wiser. Can anybody help / seen this before? Thanks in advance..James

We recently performed a reconfigure on our middleware server to apply a new security certificate.Since then, our clients display a warning message when printing a quick report.  It says “Client has requested to run in invalid local ‘en-US’.  English, ‘en-US’ will be used instead.  Correct your Locale Setting. You can click OK on this message and the quick report comes up and it can be printed.  We do not use IFS Print agents.  It also doesn’t come up for everyone, sometimes if you restart IFS it goes away.Has anyone else got this warning before?

Hello all. I am developing an operational crystal report that passes two parameters, a result key and a shop order no. When attempting to test within my IFS instance, I receive the error “No PDF Returned from Crystal Web Service”.After testing permission sets and removing fields from the report I was able to identify the 2nd parameter, ShopOrderNo, as the culprit. Removing this from the report enables it to run without issue within IFS.My question is, are there limitations to passing multiple parameters to an operational report, when including a result key? Permissions aside, would there be any other reasons that an additional parameter would cause the “No PDF Report Returned” error?I understand this might be an overly broad question, but I appreciate any efforts to help me understand the issue.

Hi everybody, how can I create my own theme in IEE?We are on APPS10 and in the cloud.Anybody got a good document? The most topics based on FSM here.

Hi,Does anyone know where can I find the “Gather Statistics” Job in IFS Cloud. According to f1 docs it should be in scheduled tasks, but cannot locate it. In oracle objects page, you can select a database object and click gather statistics on that specific object. However, in Apps10, we could gather statistics of the entire schema.

Hi,Recently, we are configuring  Horizontal cluster for ifs app.MainServer 2 and IntServer 2 setup successfully using details of ifs document. But when going to create HttpServer2 in admin console it gives below error .when checked log file below error found:  <2023-05-11 14:40:23> <SEVERE> <OHS-0> <Failed to start the server HttpServer2><2023-05-11 14:46:03> <INFO> <OHS-4018> <Starting server HttpServer2><2023-05-11 14:46:03> <WARNING> <OHS-4034> <SSL is not enabled for the admin port of HttpServer2. Thus, the connection between NodeManager and the admin port of HttpServer2 is not secure. SSL must be enabled for this connection. For more information on how to enable SSL for this connection, refer to OHS documentation><2023-05-11 14:46:03> <INFO> <OHS-0> <Running C:\IFS\Appsrv02\mw_home\mws\ohs\bin\launch.exe C:\IFS\Appsrv02\mw_home\mws\ohs\bin\httpd.exe -DOHS_MPM_WINNT -d C:/IFS/Appsrv02/wls_d

In the course of Update 21, we switched our MWS to Windows Server 2019 in our DEV environmentSince the installation of Update 21, the HTTP server is no longer running. The message: "SSL not enabled" We have no MWS problems on Oracle Linux and all services are running. As we have far fewer problems with Linux, we are considering moving to Linux. But what is holding us back is the autobuilder. As far as we know, F1-Mage requires Windows - we have already toyed with the idea of using WINE but have no experience of automating this.Have you found a way to run the autobuilder on Linux and automatically run F1-Mage to sign the runtime directory?Anyone else experienced this issue with Windows MWS?

Hi all, For the PAIN002 (Payment Status File) from the Bank,  we have a transformer to map the original XML file into the requirements for the File Template. However, we see one challenge - the transformer  (partly copied below) is representing in 1 C5 tag per appearance. In the loaded External File; we then only see the last record. So below (part of the) XML file, is being transformed into      <C5>K0290</C5>      <C5>The payment has been executed</C5>      <C5>66190,00 DKK</C5>    <xsl:for-each select="n1:StsRsnInf"> <xsl:for-each select="n1:AddtlInf"> <C5> <xsl:value-of select="."/> </C5> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:for-each> <StsRsnInf><AddtlInf>K0290</AddtlInf><AddtlInf>The payment has been executed</AddtlInf><AddtlInf>66190,00 DKK</AddtlInf></StsRsnInf> Does anyone know how’s it’s possible to get the values

Hi, We are using IFS Apps 9. I think this is also relevant to Apps 10 and beyond. We are beginning a project to integrate IFS with an external CRM, Hubspot in this instance, although it could be any CRM or external system. If we were to maintain the Customer Info, Customer Info Address, Customer Info Contact, Person Info and Comm Methods in both systems, should be be looking at maintaining a 2 way data sync or just adopt a master/slave scenario. If an object is going to be updated in the external system, then should that system refresh the object (Customer Info Address for example) from IFS to make sure it has the most recent version with the most recent Objversion. Then when the record is saved to the external system it is also saved to IFS.Or should should updates to the Customer Info Address in IFS be prohibited and only the CRM can be used for updating the Customer Info Address. How have others approached this? Regards, Kevin

Dear Community,I am currently experiencing an error while attempting to create a new SQL Quick Report. Despite refreshing the server cache, the issue persists. I have confirmed that there are no issues with the middleware services as they are up and running smoothly.I kindly request assistance from anyone who may have encountered a similar situation or possesses expertise in troubleshooting such issues. Your guidance and insights on resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your time and support.more details: Ifs.Fnd.FndSystemException: Explorer: An Unhandled Exception has occurred ---> Ifs.Fnd.FndSystemException: Unexpected error while calling server method ManageQuickReports/GetWarnings ---> Ifs.Fnd.FndSystemException: ifs.fnd.gateway.MissingOperationException: Operation 'getWarnings' does not exist--- IFS Extended Server exception stack trace ---    at ifs.fnd.gateway.client.EJBServerConnection.invoke(EJBServerConnection.java:96)    at ifs.fnd.gateway.cl
