Hello all, I have a question related to Part Cost on an inactive part. I have a production part that was marked inactive two years ago. When this part is pulled into the Estimating module in IFS, the part cost calculated is different than that of the Part Cost screen in IFS for the PN. Given that it was marked inactive two years ago, would this be the reason that there is a difference in the costs? I have no found any documentation on how IFS behaves when part cost calculation is run against an inactive part. The estimate itself appears to be accurate, and Part Cost calculation has been run against the inactive part. Our labor class costs have changed since the part was marked inactive, and I am curious if there is some legacy cost values that would cause the difference?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
I need instructions on how to do AR adjustments without going through mixed payments. I have invoices that were short paid or just bad invoices that need to be adjusted off, but not necessarily bad debt. Billing errors, etc.
Error Message: Value is missing or has an invalid time interval for posting type PP38 control type AC7 code part A in company 6205We have an AC sitting on account that we are wanting to offset against an AD however are getting the above error message. We’ve also had the same error message come up when trying to receipt a payment against an invoice (same company number 6205 but different customer) Anyone know what we need to change?
I have accruals that I want to upload instead of manually enter. Can external vouchers auto-reverse?
When we consolidate, a small balance remains on the parent’s account even if the subsidiary account balance is zero. This seems to be caused by the exchange rate and possibly the decimal places used. For example: Account 1456 in company CCIBU (base currency CAD) had a balance of CAD 2,001 at the end of Period 2. When this was consolidated to parent company CCICN (base currency USD) at the exchange rate of 1.239130, the balance in CCI is USD 1,564.01. In Period 3, this balance in CCIBU was cleared by a CAD (2,001) transaction, so at the end of Period 3 its balance is CAD 0.00 . But when consolidated to CCICN at the exchange rate of 1.26465, IFS books USD (1,564.02) against the balance and USD 18.24 to a currency translation account. So in Period 3, there is a remaining balance of USD 1,564.01 - USD 1,564.02 = (0.01) . The balance should be zero instead. So it seems like in the course of converting amounts when consolidating, IFS is missing small amounts when it clears balances. In the
Hello @ allThis post proposes 2 ideas on supplier invoice workflow in Finance.IDEA 1 - Ability to define in the Authorize assigning rule that the project manager be included in the supplier invoice workflow without having to add them to an approver group (to difficult to handle). The principle is quite similar to the option: Invoice recipient as Acknoledger/Authorizer.IDEA 2 - It is possible to select, in the accounting code part, the project's dimension, and adding a project list, for an authorizer assigning rule.Like idea 1, the principle would be to include the project manager of the selected project(s) in the project's dimension, in the invoice workflow process. Thanks

What is the best way to match a PO receipt with a return when there is not invoice. Currently we are entering a penny invoice, match the receipts and returns, code the penny to PPV and then have to do a Supplier offset to write off the invoice. There must be an easier way.
Hi,Does someone know what should be configured to Send Self-Billing Invoice that this function be enabled?
Hello, Whenever my customer receives a supplier invoice, before registering, she checks that the unit price on the purchase order is the same as invoice; if not the case, then they reopen the article line on PO to change price and close it again so that the right price gets mapped on the invoice. She prefers to proceed in this way rather than registering price difference on invoice. But when the arrival of PO was registered, it has been done with the initial price of PO (and not the updated one), so the inventory transaction showing a debit of M1 and credit of M10 are created with initial price and then transferred to accounting/ finance with a daily task; their status is “transferred”, code 3.How can i proceed with an update of these transactions on ARRIVAL event (M1 and M10) after having changed the price on PO line, so that finance gets updated too? Thank youTanya
Hi When you have created a new Record in the form ‘Periodical capitalization and Revenue Recognition Project’, all relevant projects will be fetched at that time and it’s not possible to add new records afterwards as far as I can see? This is a problem because if a new project comes in late then you need to roll everything back, remove the record, re-create it and re-do all the capitalisation and revenue recognition all over again. Is there any way to add newly approved project once you’ve started?
Hello, I have made an advance invoice for customer order and the advance is paid. When I try to make the final invoice for the order, I get this error message. We are running IFS APP 10 UPD 8. I read from another case “Error message during printing an instant invoice”, which also had something to do with advance invoice, that there might be a bug in UPD8 (151458). Is this a totally different case? Any solution?
In June 2021 our UK plant switched from the BACS system to CHAPS.Prior to the switch the UK would upload details of their supplier payment runs to the bank via a file upload.Since the switch they have not been able to do so - no file being created to upload to the bankWe were advised that there was no difference between the two systems and that the setup currently in place for Payment Format BACS and Payment Method BACS OUT should remain in place for suppliers being paid through BACS and that processing would continue as normal. This is not the case as this has become a manual effort in terms of sending the payment information to the bank.If anyone in the community has come across a similar situation when using these two systems any information that you can provide in terms of adding/changing Payment Formats and Payment Methods would be much appreciated. Thanks AS .

Hihow do you handle customer bankruptcy in IFS.When a customer files for bankruptcy I would like the system to:-provision the amount due-block the customer in the dunning system, so they don’t get dunned-exclude the customers from the customer age analysis etcas it can take year before the lawyer are finished with closing the bankruptcy case. Is there a function or a used process in IFS when customer bankruptcy happens.I know that there is a bad debt system but it doesn't seem to solve the issue or have I overlooked something. ThanksSøren
Hi there,Hopefully someone can help.I need to raise the invoice 15 days prior the start of each billing period. I have confirmed with my team that that we do not future date the invoice and use the actual date that we issue but doing this will trigger posting to revenue then I will need to do manual entries monthly to reclass this as deferred income on the balance sheet. How can I automate this procedure to post revenue as deferred and then reclass the posting to the P&L on the 15th on the following month?
Hello, we have a situation where our AP group entered some write-off supplier invoices in error. Their practice is to enter manual invoices that net to 0 and they are in state PaidPosted in closed accounting periods. They would now like to undo those invoices and enter new ones for payment. I am aware of supplier payment rollbacks, but I’m assuming that method wouldn’t work with a 0 value invoice since no payment was generated. Is it possible to undo these invoices and enable the receipts to be matched normally? Also, is there a better method of doing write-offs? Thanks.
How can I set up a folder in windows 10 that can only be saved to direct from IFS (i.e can’t be changed after file is created)
