Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

FSM resource info button missing in PSO. Something strange for the few old users that need to remain.They seem to be unlinked from FSM somehow. They are missing SA4 and also have no link towards FSM.Looking for them in FSM they still exist though.  

Hi Team, We have a scenario where there are shared technicians/resources in some teams and we are in plan to use schedule board for limited teams only and remaining teams will have PSO scheduling. Question is when some task assigned to the shared resource,  in schedule board I think we can see all the tasks assigned to the resource including the the ones getting allocated through PSO but in PSO when one team of the shared resource is not enabled to export can we have anything done to display the resource availability accordingly to show he his already assigned with some task in another team which is not in PSO?

We get the following error in our PSO (6.10.0.10) in the event-log, does anybody know why this error occures?SchedulingService.TransportObjects.ClientException: Unexpected overwrite of label format for ARPResourceLabelFormat

Can anyone provide pointers on how to troubleshoot performance issues when posting XML to the FSM webservice.    We have a situation where XML messages using the same template are being sent to the webservice to generate new requests, most complete within a second but can also take well over 30 seconds to return a result to the calling application.

Hello,we have many users on mobile FSM that need to enter notes on pieces of equipment that they are working on. However, many users, instead of hitting save, decide to leave the screen they’re on and move past it, thus the notes don’t get saved. Then later on, we generate reports based on the work performed and the users get frustrated when the notes they entered are absent from the reports. We have tried to reinforce saving notes many times in the past, but we’ve now decided to try and find a way to make it so they are warned to save before leaving the screen they’re on. Is there a way to programmatically detect when the user is trying to leave the screen they’re on and to maybe show a pop-up window to warn them that they are leaving the screen without saving their data? This is one of our big items to hopefully resolve, as many of our customers require notes on service reports that we generate, and frustration occurs when notes are missing.

Hi All,Does someone has experience with a policy to (automatically/force) update the mobile app version for fsm? Is it possible to force users to update there fsm mobile app version?Or maybe by sendig a push message with an url to the apk, something like that?Regards,David

What is the difference between person, employee & resource? The configuration paths arePath for person -Path for companypath for resource 

While creating a person (technician) record, should we first update the start location and end location and then tick the scheduling resource flag to create a scheduling resource record in FSM? Please confirm if this sequence needs to be followed.In our case, we have an interface to create technician wherein we are first updating threesixty_resource flag and then updating start/ end location and sometimes we see multiple scheduling resource ids getting created for the same parent key. Can someone please throw some light on this? 

In enterprise setup, I am trying to add a resource group, while selecting company, it does not show me the associated sites. Due to this, I am unable to attach site to the resource group.though site test is connected to this company 

While we’re creating resources from persons , by checking the box “Scheduling resource” , It does create a resource .But the start and end locations fields are blank although start/end locations are present in the PLACE tab of PERSON (i.e. although place, address are present in PERSON screen that does not show up while resource creation)Note : We’re experiencing this issue while importing data using import/export functionality using .xls file. Version used :UPD20 Any help here , please . 

The field mobile user is checked as editable as shown in attachment but till we can’t edit it

Dear Community. I attempt to add a new Business Object to Support Organisation Basic Data \ Business Object Tab, of type Non Conformance Report, but when i attempt to do this i get an error, despite it being in the list. I do note that it is not defined in the help file. I am wondering if this is a bug, or some functionality that is missing? Apps 9 Up15. 

Hopefully an easy one,When making an appointment request via FSM does the response code on the time commit always default to APPOINTMENT?  I can’t see a related scheduling app param so I assume this is hardcoded?Thanks,Tom

How can I fill different cost types under a work task service in FSM module. For many cost types, it says “registration is not allowed”, seems it has certain criteria to meet.  

Dear Experts,With the latest FSM6U13 release an enhancement was made so that the object groups defined in FSM are sent to PSO via the integration, eliminating the need to restrict data access using separate datasets.Could someone please explain how to setup this configuration correctly as many customers and partners have come across sync issues on this. Thanks, Minindu

I am trying to use Division/ Region based allocation in PSO. I have done the below configurations:         I have updated region in FSM address which is flowing to PSO against the activity. I have created same regions in PSO as Divisions and assigned some technicians against each division I have created the shifts of the technician separately for each division Now my expectation is based on the region of the activity, PSO should allocate a technician who belongs to the same division. But that is not happening. Please note that we are not using team as skill.Am i missing any link here? Please help.@Sajith Anushan  @Dakshinie Wickramasinghe  @jimmy hultman 

When I run the query “select plan_start_dttm from task where task_id = 8215,” it returns the timestamp in Eastern time, not my local time (which is Mountain standard time). When I view this datetime on the DebriefOverview screen in mobile, then it is displayed in the timezone that my phone is currently set to (in my case, MST). When I run this same query in the smart client, it is returned in my local timezone MST). When I run it in the client script, it is being returned in Eastern time.How is the timezone being retrieved from the server in FSM? What table and field is populated in the database to set the system timezone? For instance, the status_as_of field in the task table is being stored in the mobile database in Eastern time. Where is the timezone being set in the smart client? 

In the work task --scheduling & allocation in service management, in the direct allocation, it does not show any LOV in Allocated to person, so how can we bring /create a person that shows up in direct allocation. I can see that person in Allocations on demand.

When I try to connect to database in developer studio its throwing error as “Too Long” .I am also not connected to Global protect. Still getting the error.

Hi,We are having some issues with attaching images to FSM reports through “.rdlc” files. Accessing an image through a link that sits on the internet is working. As the customer is not on premise, we can't access the images through the links that we have with us. Appreciate your assistance on this.

Good day,In our FSM + PSO system at a certain time we freeze the schedule (We don’t let DSE of PSO optimize anymore the requests/task).So all the task planned and freezed must be executed in next day/days and no automatic modification are allowed Is possible to set something that e-mail the place.email contact when the scehdulation got freezed?Thanks and RegardsLorenzo
