How do you specify a time for a PM WO to be generated? All are occurring at 12:00AM. I would like some to occur at a different time, such as 6:00PM. Thank you for your help

FSM 6.5 Substitution Maps

Hi,I have a notification email that’s being sent out when a part need is created for certain parts. I would like the person who created the part need to be CC’ed on this email.The notification message is triggered by a request event and the person I’d like included on the email is the request event creator. I’m not sure how to use request_event.created_by in the distribution list.Another problem is I’ve been trying to create substitution maps to get the persons emails address with different methods. For some reason the ones I create don’t show up in the “Wild card member” drop down on the distribution list screen. I don’t see any differences it my substitution maps and the ones that do show up in the drop down.Currently I can use request.event.created_by or I’ve also stuffed the part_need.sequence into the request_event.user_def2 to have a link back to the part need where I could use part_need.created_byAny suggestions appreciated.

I am new to configuring Surveys so this may be a simple question.I want a Survey to execute when the status is ‘onsite’.In which Business Rule or screen do I enter the logic to ‘Execute Survey x when the Task Status is onsite’ ?

Survey on WebClient, remove "Select" button

Dear all Is there a possibility to remove the “Select” button option for Attachment types from the Survey completion popup window on the WebClient, best-case via Client Script, so the option remains with the Mobile Client?If you’re completing the Survey on Web and activate for an attachment lookup field window the “Select” button, the “Attachment Lookup” screen is opened, and if you’re then activating the “Cancel” button, all the cached survey answers will disappear and the survey questions reloaded.Survey “Select” buttonSurvey Attachment Lookup Cancel button Kindly note the survey I am using is a nested one with a sub-survey.Looking forward for your answers. The request channel timed out while using ODATA REST API

We have recently upgraded to FSM 6UPD9 to make use of the ODATA REST APIs in order to integrate our external applications with FSM. Very often we are getting a request channel timeout while using the ODATA REST API’s. Once this starts every call fails. Message:Error occurred while getting EDM model from app server.System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:59.9970047. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. The ODATA rest API's makes a call to the FSM server "<perform_get_updated_odata_edm>" to get the data model. It basically asks for the database table structure of ~1200 tables in FSM, which looks to be a very time-consuming operation. We have observed that the ODATA API attempts to refresh the EDM model every time there is a server restart/ IIS reset or whenever we do a refresh cach

Hi, If we remotely initialise a users Mobile App, how long does the request stay in the system. i.e. if they were off work for say 2 weeks for example, would it initialse when they next log on?

Use of third party software

Hi.I would like to know if it is possible to have info sent from 3rd party software and entered into a text field on one of the fsm mobile screens. I need this in order to convert an image of text into a string and get this into the databasis.

FSM Mobile - Device ID (null)

Hi,We have started to deploy a newer version of the mobile devices our technicians use.One thing we have noticed is that when initialised the device_id on person_mobile is ‘null’.All the other values are being set on the table correctly with regards to brand, model, os_type and os_version, just nothing for the device_id. The devices are Android and the newer version see’s us go from OS9 to OS10 using FSM Mobile.Is this something set at device level, something missing in the mobile .apk, or something else? Ady

Creating an attachment in FSM using a secured url response

Hello Experts,I am trying to create an attachment in FSM using a base64 response that I get by calling an endpoint.The endpoint I call to get the attachment data is a secured one and looks like following, Now,In the documentation for the OData attachment endpoint it states the following,Attempt 1I tried using the base64 response in the OData attachment endpoint as following,Although it returns success, it creates an empty attachment record without an actual fileAttempt 2I tried to create the attachment by providing the http endpoint that retrieves the binary data in the OData attachment post payload as following,As you can see it returned an unauthorized error, since this is an authorized endpoint that requires a token for authentication. I have successfully tested with a public url of an image (which does not require authorization) in place of the above and it successfully creates an attachment in FSM.So this is where I stand now. I feel like I have relevant parts working separately,

Work Order Operator can't clock off

We are currently on Apps 8. When trying to clock off a job on the work order operation screen, IFS locks up. Unable to clock off this job and clock into any other job. Work order is still open but the time transactions say it has already been transferred. Unable to unauthorise.

Web client schedule board task display

I want to show the country where a task is performed on the task display in the web client schedule board, but when I select the option it doesn’t show me anything for any task. I’ve tried both the ‘PlaceCountry’ and ‘Place’ options in this list. I have given a country on the place that has a few tasks, but it is not showing on the schedule board. Am I missing something? This is on FSM 6 Update 12

Client script wont trigger. Am I missing something?

I am trying to trigger a script when a the end date is changed on the contracts screen. I tested the script itself and it works fine, but I cant get it to trigger when I want it to. The field I need to update is a custom field called Months Remaining and is linked to contracts.user_def5. I linked the script to End Date. Here is the client script:var contractID = getControlValue('contract', 'contract_id');var contractLength = getDBValue('1', contractID);setControlValue('contract', 'user_def5', contractLength);alert("done"); And the sql script it calls:SELECT DATEDIFF(M,GETDATE(),CONTRACT.END_DT) FROM CONTRACT WHERE CONTRACT_ID = '{0}'Are there other ways of triggering this?

Stock Min Max

HiI am trying to use the Stock Min Max function in FSM to automatically set the Min Max levels based on usage.When setting one months usage on one part line as a test, the part usage returned does not match the part transaction usage therefore giving incorrect results.Criteria used is a follows: The Min / Max usage is returned as 656 units:Yet the Part transactions for one month only totals 61 which is what i would expect. Can someone please explain why this is as it makes no sense. Is it a bug?

ODATA Rest API $batch operations are not atomic.

ARP Broadcast to Apps

Hi All, I am doing some configuration with a PSO instance that is Integrated with IFS Apps 10. I have configured the ARP to broadcast to Apps and that seems to be working. When I apply changes to a ROTA I see the message posted message to IFS with the changes, but it doesn’t seem that APPS is doing anything with this ARP data. I have changed locations and start and end locations for a particular shift for a resource in my ROTA, and I see the XML in APPS but I see no changes in APPS or in PSO. Am I missing anything here? Limitation of the PSO and APPS integration? ***Note, the resources that are in ARP exist both in APPS and manually created in ARP (with matching ID’s).

FSM mobile not syncing

I am having a weird issue where a custom screen using a client script on the next button does not want to sync.I know the client script runs due to the alert at the end of the code. Before, if something does not sync, I would get an error on the sync screen. Now, however, I do not even get an error. No syncs waiting to happen, no errors, no warnings. Is there anyone that could spend some time with me in teams to help me out with this?

PSO Additional Attributes Task_Contact or Request_Contact to Activity

Hi, I am using FSM and PSO and would like to show the customer name and contact details in PSO which in FSM are in the request_contact or task_contact either as a additional attribute or in any other manner. Does anyone how I can map the same? In the FSM additional attributes mapping I cannot chose the task_contact or request_contact entities. I can create a BR to copy this information over the a request / task user_def and then sync that to PSO but is that any other way this can be achieved ootb? Regards,Abrar

Trigger script upon opening a request

Using the FSM web client, I’ve currently not found any way to trigger a script when the request is loaded. (After clicking on it when searching for a request). We have different tabs which we need to be hidden/shown if the request contains specific information, previously we’ve done this using the “Custom Code” on the field which has the Initial focus set, but this is not possible to use on the web client.

Substitution Variables

Started anbother thread as the previous one was marked as solved. We have an issue whereby sometimes substitution variables work, and sometimes not. The patterns and findings are as follows: We have a notification setup to fire upon project.approval_status being updated. The fields that do not reliably work in the resulting notification messages are:project.user_def1 project.user_def2 project.created_byHere are my the findings from testingIf you change the Approval Status on the Project by directly changing the field on the Project screen. The Notification goes out correctly with all values.However, In our application, the Project Approval status is typlically changed via a business rule triggered from TASK. In FSM6u10, I have created a notification message for Projects.
