Hi Community,I am creating an approval template in Document Management, I want more than one user to approve a document, but I do not want to make it hierarchical. I want User B to be able to approve a document that User A can approve; I want the status of the document revision approved by a single user (like Approval Routing). How can I do this? Best Regards.

Hi,What is the difference between the Object Key and Key Ref columns in the Document Object Connections page? I could not find any differences in the values. Is there a historical reason for this or why do these columns exist twice? Thanks, Mike

Hi,When after document migration of several million document revisions with document file from IFSApp8 to IFS Cloud 22R2, it is time consuming to first migrate document files to TST and then to UAT,  when you clone TST to UAT.Is it possible/easy to move document files in file storage, FSS, that are in TST to UAT environment?Best Regards,Geir  

Hi Experts,I am encountering an issue with the macro functionalities in Excel, as they do not appear to be working as expected. Specifically, the requirement is to retrieve the Source values from IFS and populate them in the designated cells within Excel.Kindly refer the attached document “Steps for Macro with Word and Macro with Excel.docx”I was able to follow this functionality precisely within Word, and it is working as expected. The steps I followed included creating a document revision and applying the document class with the Word macro. Then selected 'Edit' button. Upon opening the document, navigated to 'Quick Parts' > 'Field' > 'DocProperty', and chose a field with a value to be automatically fetched from the IFS server.In Excel, as the 'Quick Issue' functionality is unavailable, an alternative approach was employed to automatically retrieve the field values. Hi all,When we try to perform a document review, we are unable to uncheck lines not impacted by the review when reviewing plans. Hi everyone,I’ve noticed that the drag and drop area is not enabled when the IFS Aurena Extension (Aurena Agent)  is installed and enabled for the environment the customer is working on. I understand that this is not a bug, but rather a feature. From what I gather, this is partly due to security restrictions in modern web browsers. Can anyone provide more details on these security restrictions? Specifically, why does drag and drop functionality conflict with the Aurena Agent?I found some related information in this article, but I have a customer who is curious to hear more insights and experiences from the community. Hello,I want to take a document connected to a screen together with the pdf report output. What I want is available for the Work Instruction Report. However, I want to do this for the Shop Order Report shown in the image I added. I want to do this by creating a new custom menu and linking the pdf report to this menu. Can you help me with how to do this? Is it possible to do this without development?

I’m trying to get the macros found in the 24R1 GCS demo data and in our customer’s database and have run into a brick wall.  I’m hoping someone can help me knock it down.The error,MSGBOX "APPLICATION NOT INSTALLED TO ACCESS DOCUMENT"Is in the macro block named General_Open in the subroutinePUBLIC FUNCTION IFS_EXEC(O_APP, OPT, F).  This is the entry point for the macro.I’m at a loss. Patrick

we have a customer that had this question logged by one of their users in the Production team, please would you be able to advise if there would be any issues with us allowing this?“Would there be any impact on IFS if we store build packs as documents? These are currently stored on Notes so we need an alternate storage location and keeping on IFS would mirror processes for other part related documents. These are .zip files, currently on notes we have 388 packs saved, total size 4866 MB. This covers a 9 year period so we wouldn't be looking to transfer all of these, but the above numbers are representative of how they would accumulate over time.”Thank you,Sanjith

Hello Experts,I am trying to transfer documents from manually created Incoming dispatch advice to receipt.I tried using register arrivals and it works but its not working for the incoming dispatch advice window.I have set up the object connection transformation but could not map the correct Source LU Key and Target LU key,  When I attached a documents for the header or line level from the manually created incoming dispatch advice window it will not transfer to Receipt.Did any of the members successfully set this up and got to work?Highly appreciate your help on this. Thanks,Chamath

I have completed all system requirements but the document is not delivered to the user, what should I do?According to the help documentation, the following installation has been completed.The user ID you log in with must be linked to a person in the Contacts window. The people to be added to the document distribution list must be registered in the Contacts window. You must have selected one or more documents before using the menu option for document distribution. If you are using e-mail notification as the distribution method, the relevant e-mail address(es) must be registered in the Contact/Contact Method tab.

 When we try to View attachments from pages like Posting Proposal or Sub Contract Valuation, PDF’s often display a blank or partial document.  Here is an example of a 1-page document.This is what displays in the attachment viewer (obfuscated):And here is the document if I download it - you can see that the bottom half of the doc was missing from attachment viewer..Below are additional notes/testing I have tried: Seems to be across all users Seems to be across all browsers Still an issue in Incognito/InPrivate windows If you Download the document from IFS, you can see it in full If you Download the document and re-upload it, the issue remains where it doesn't display fully in the attachment viewer. If you Download the document, flatten it, save, and re-upload it, the issue remains where it doesn't display fully in the attachment viewer. If you Download the document, PRINT TO PDF, Save a copy, and re-upload it, the issue is RESOLVED.

Hello, I have problem with retrieving SQL command in IFS cloud. In Oracle db this SQL command in picture2 is working but in IFS in some cases is working but in some not. I want to put together values in columns “Superior Part No” and “Popis polo” in column “Nazov”. Where is no Superior No, there would be only “Popis polo” after that should be in column “Nazov” “32 PBA ELA” after that in pic3 is working, but when is in “Superior Part No” value 322 than there is in “Nazov” column 309 and not 322.  Thank you for your advices

If you attach a document to (for eg) a work order you have the option to download the same clicking on a small download icon.If you attach a media item there seem to be no option to directly download the media file. Is this the expected behaivor or is this controlled by a permission or something similar? 

When adding a Parent Document to a Document Folder can you also add the child  document at same time?
