@LindaK We have restricted access toggle on the document. if it is ON, it will only be visible to users who has at least view access and kind of gives the idea it is classified or confidential.
Other than that, in the document revision\Title tab, there is a field named Confidential - free text field (size 15). It has no functionality tied to it in core application.
Use a custom field or one of the free description fields perhaps? Plus a macro that shows some warning text when documents are viewed/printed/etc?
We were considering that solution as well. However, we also wanted to check if anyone else might have implemented it differently , perhaps using codes and mandatory fields to trigger pop-up messages. Also, thank you for your quick response! ( as always:-))

Now that you mentioned "pop-up messages" I got thinking if you could use a BPA/Workflow to open up a dialog at some point in the flow. That should definitely get the attention of the user...

I apologize for missing your previous reply. Employees need to have access to the documents, but they are not permitted to share them outside the company. We need to set up a reminder, and the document itself should be clearly marked with this information.
