We have a requirement to grant users access to all Business Opportunities but each user should have different access levels. I’m using the CRM Access Filters in Apps 10 to set these users as Admin Users and specify their desired privileges.One user has only Read privilege however, is able to insert and update opportunities. They only get an error about not having Insert or Update privilege when they are connected to an access group. However, the access group is not connected to any filter at all. Am I missing a setup here or misunderstanding the new access functionality? 

We are currently running IFS Apps10 UPD8 exclusively in IEE.  We are starting to deploy Aurena in select functional areas.  Our goal is to add Aurena over time, prioritizing the functional areas where we get the most gain from Aurena.One of the first areas up for consideration is Business Opportunity / CRM.  Unfortunately, my users are extensive Yellow Sticky Note users in Business Opportunity.  They use it to highlight key information that sales needs to know about the opportunity.I’m starting to think about the best way to tackle this.   How do we not lose information between IEE and Aurena?  Do I need to discourage users from using the Sticky notes, possibly create a custom event that stops new notes from being created?I’m looking to share ideas about how to manage this transition without reducing our toolset.

We are working with distributors which are certified to assemble and to sell our products under our own brand.Sometimes, customers are asking us for sales quotations/customer orders on products for small quantities. Based on the product family and the quantities, we would like to reoriente the customer to one of our distributors.Is there something in the sales module which enables to return automatically a sales quotation or customer order with an negative answer to the customer with a proposal of our distributors based on family product and quantities?

I would like to know how you manage in IFS the contract review for customer orders.The term "contract review" refers to an examination of the customer order.Much like appraisal review forms, all of the information regarding the customer order is properly assessed and commented upon.Today, we are managing it through a check list (hard copy) and we would like to dematerialize this activity in IFS

Hi Guys,I have a question in relation to the ‘Self-Billed Customer Order Line With Deviations’ screen. When we add a new line RMB from header (Add line). the ‘Self-billed Price/Curr’ field is populating automatically. We have the option to amend this manually butwe are looking to see how this is calculated and where it pulls from. In the IFS help it looks like the field is coming from the customer order line, but when we check this we cant see any reference to it. Regards,Gary

R & D team is currently in the process of designing the demand planner main client in Aurena. We highly appreciate your suggestions and comments for the new design. Further are there any suggestions to improve the DP main client usability in Aurena ?

When in Business Opportunity, if there is a Sales Process attached when RMB in the header there is a ‘Confirm Sales Process’ option. However, we have certain users that do not see this option.  Unfortunately, this is Live and we do not currently have this is test so unable to debug it to see the API call being made.  Can you please advise on how to grant user(s) this option? Thanking you in advance for looking. John 

Would anyone know why the single occurrence ‘Name’ field would grey out??We are creating the quotation from business opportunity - 9 times out of 10 it works okay, but occasionally the quote greys out the name field on the single occurrence and we cannot amend. So if we want to put a contact/contractor name in the single occurrence we are unable to.The work around is to open up a new sales quotation screen, re-enter the quote number and it frees up the field! Any ideas:Example 1 - Single Occurrence unchecked - delivery = document address - all as expected :) Example 2 - Check the Single Occurrence box - name and address is now greyed out!Only way to clear this issue is to open a

Hello,We are implementing Apps 10 and currently brainstorming around a situation with Sales Quotation.Requirement in the interim is to be able to generate Sales Quotation for Parts currently not existing in the system. Idea is to be able to send out quotes and create Parts (and BOMs) only when the deal is won and want to avoid creating Parts just for Quoting. Using Estimator could be one way but that is not preferred in the interim.Happy to receive suggestions. Thanks!   

We have custom events/API calls running in the background I think that's causing this but struggling to find the cause.I am going from the business opportunity, creating a quote but delivery is greyed out. I then try to modify and see the following error:Any ideas how I can trace back the problem?

Good Morning,I was wondering if there is a plan to put Representatives on Projects or Support Agreements in IFS. This functionality is already available on Leads, Business Opportunities, Business Activities, and Customer Orders (back end). It seems like the only area that representatives has propogated to on the Back End of the Sales Cycle is Customer Orders. Is there a plan to integrate this functionalit into Projects and Support Agreements as well? This would be a help to leverage the same structure to assign Account Managers/account representatives and how they assign out to these various areas. Thanks, Carrie Tietjen

Can we integrate IFS ERP Application (version 10) with the Salesforce CRM? If Yes, then How?

I would like to make a proof of principle of integrating pipedrive and IFS’ CRM functionality together. Pipedrive would be used for filtering and following up the initial sales qualified leads and then after these reach “a certain stage” these would be transferred to IFS’ CRM after a deal is won or lost, pipedrive would be “informed”   so Pipedrive is a black box for IFS regarding where the sales qualified leads (SQL) come from and IFS is a black box for Pipedrive regarding what happens between becoming a SQL and a deal Is this a viable idea? What would be the best way to do this? What would be an alternative set-up? The main goal would be to NOT have two parallel systems, where data has to be entered twice, separately.    note: I found a similar/related topic here:

Looking at Customer / Product / Price level budgets / forecasts that can also be used for measuring salesperson targets ?Have reviewed S&OP and Demand Planner but these are more quantity based and just use Avg Sales Price so are fine for general planning but not detailed sales budget level that we can track report against at sales person level ?I have been point towards external solutions such as Beqom or Xactly.  Any IFS partner solutions available for this ?

Hi All.In Customer Order functionality, whenever we change status (example: Planned to Released), it doesn’t change status immediately. We have to refresh windows multiple times then check background job etc. it changes after sometime. It happens not only in Customer Order window but also in other windows like Delivery etc.Do you guys also face this issue. Please guide what could be the reason behind this.Note: We have faced this issue mostly with Customer Order Functionality, other modules process fast. Regards

When we use the option to run a ‘customer statement of account’ to run monthly statements the IFS standard layout is used. Is there any way to make sure the alternate layout we designed from crystal is picked up rather than the IFS standard. Perhaps I can set this as a report rule? - am not quite understanding the logic I need to enter in the ‘actions’ ordinal to pick up the email from the customer comm method OR payment customer contact field.   Help appreciated!    

Hello,On IFS V10.8;I found an useless situation on CRM. When i trying to create a customer from lead, customer created successfully but the lead is deleted with atteched documents somehow.When i analyze the BUSINESS_LEAD_API, i found  procedures as TRANSFER_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS and REMOVE_LEAD but the transfer docs procedure is not work for me.Can u explain, why the leads are deleted when we try to convert to customer? Why the system working like this really i wonder.The other important question is, how can I find my valuable documents that I add to leads in the system?Best regards.
